Man people create crazy cool things, my helicopter system could only change the angle of the blades and tilt the whole rotor assembly around (unreal). Better start doing my homework
-
Has any body created a proper helicopter with rotor functions, such as a cross between 8856 and 852 (functions of blade controls, not looks). I'm working on one currently but it is pretty hard to create all the functions plus a drive train, without using the flex cable system, only beams and levers, maybe pneumatics.

The engine cover and the rear part of the chassis. But still, I could easily fix those problems. 8285 did not have any problems like 9397, even though it isn't very dense (considering it had 1877 parts), the covers covered up the empty areas. -
About 9396, I found something new about it. On the bottom right corner of its box, there is a little picture showing its functions. There is an arrow showing that the main rotors could spin, there is another arrow showing that the rear rotors could spin, an arrow showing that the cargo door could open, an arrow showing that the doors on the side could slide open, another arrow directing that you could turn a 12t, and another arrow I just discovered. There is an arrow on the left side of the helicopter close to the 12t directing that there is a switch there, maybe a switch to pick between two functions (winch and cargo door). I'll see if I could post pictures on my BS later.

And people are saying 8070 looked to much like a "skeleton," wait till they see 9397. The logging truck looks to empty and more like a skeleton, just look at the pictures. It is crazy to believe it has more pieces than 8070. -

I already posted information about Lego 9397 a while ago, on page 22. Here is the proper English translation: Requires batteries: 6 x LR6 not included Product description: The huge logging truck is ready to lift all! Use the control box Power Functions on the side of the truck to lower, raise and rotate the arm and unfold motorized outriggers. Then turns and opens the clamp to lift the thickest trunks. This huge model also includes a direction that works, doors and hood that open, revealing an engine with pistons that work, this model is larger than life! Turns into a container truck with snowplow. Kit contents: 1308 elements Anyways, does the logging truck really have a real working steering wheel? -
I think the 'm motors' images are just substituting for the new motors on the 9398 box. The 'l motors' are probably going to be bigger in size than the 'm motors' because if they were the same size as the 'm motors,' than there isn't any point in using it over an 'm,' similiar to dhc6twinotter theory about the 'l' and 'xl motor' size.

You are right, I never knew! -
Here are the same pictures seen in LegoPictureHQ's slideshow. 9396 Helicopter The helicopter looks magnificent, the colors remind me of 8109. There looks to be a "mass" around the swash plate of the main rotor, I hope you could be able to control the angle of the blades. I think there is a 36 tooth gear attached to the tail rotor. A winch is also included in this set. I know my eyes aren't what they used to be, but is that a old style differential right behind the "2011?" 9398 I see Lego is making the orange color more popular, the black and orange goes well together, well so would red and black. Is there a patteren I am seeing, rc flagships in 2007, 2010, and 2012 I can't really say anything about it except it 'may' have 4 wheel steer and it includes 3 motors. I hope one motor is attached to each axle, making this a 4 wheel drive car, with 4 wheel steer!!! 9398 also looks like it has pendular suspension, rear maybe the normal spring suspension. If this rc car has the 94.8 wheels, then this car may be pretty big. For larger (but not as clear, still good though) pictures, just check out my BS folder, once it is public.

9397 looks a little skinny to me, especially the rear, just check out my brickshelf. -

Does anybody seriously think 9397 is going to have 1308 pieces? -

I don't know, that is what amazon said. Maybe the b-model is something like this, a snow plow with those containers in the back holding salt.
