  1. Yeah, that's pretty weird indeed. And I guess, like Clone O'Patra mentioned, it's the vanishing cabinet. But why? The figure looks nice, though. The more I look at the sets itself (and not the figures I already want all), the more I like them. That's a good thing!
  2. In the mid 19th century a new leader rose. His name was Emperor Vicious. He lead the nation with an iron fist, so the nation was called the Iron Empire. Capitalists, aristocrats and rich people were privileged members of the nation and the normal man was nothing worth in the eyes of the Emperor. Other countries didn't want to go in discussion with the Iron Empire because they had fear of Emperor Vicious. One man stood up against Emperor Vicious, he was called Goodfellow. Goodfellow travelled with a company of craftsmen and civilians to a group of floating rocks. They were called the Resistance. They tried to fight against the Emperor and his army of rich people, although it lasted long until their hiding place was discovered. The floating rocks were a magical appearance, nobody knew how they got there. Soon these rock formations were inhabited by numerous people, including the Professor. He was once an important inventor of new machines for the army of Emperor Vicious, but he fled. The Professor made steam powered machines for the Resistance. Unfortunately, the Emperor managed to follow him within a few days. And that's how the Resistance was discovered... More on: MOCpages and Brickshelf. This is an entry for Eurobrick's Finest in the contest going on MOCpages.
  3. Thanks for the link! I'm refreshing it every five minutes. What a nice pictures of beautiful new figures. Hmph, now we have to wait 9 months before we can buy any of these very nice sets, with more than awesome figures. I'm so fond of Ginny. I have her pictured on a calendar behind me, and the expression and hairstyle are exactly the same.
  4. Bring it on, I suggest! I would love to see 40 sets released this year and the next one! If they include figures like these, I'm perfectly happy with it. But my wallet won't be.
  5. I feel the same like you. I thought they would stop with LEGO Harry Potter. I was so unhappy when we discovered the 3rd Hogwarts Castle set would be the last one. I was unhappy because we would never see the Weasley family in LEGO and other important or wicked characters. And now this. All these beautiful figures at once. These new designs are just perfect to me, they look like their film counterparts or just like I imagined from in the book. Thank you, LEGO!
  6. Yeah, perhaps a clear picture of the front would make me like it more. I still find it weird that they've made it so dark... The scene on the box is at night, so they make the Burrow in a dark colour. I think, if it had brighter colours, I would like it from the first instant. But now it has to grow on me. The interior and minifigures are beautiful, it's just the dark colour I don't like so much. AND WOW! The figures are too awesome! I like all the new designs. Bellatrix' hairpiece is beautiful. The faces look spot-on! Ginny's hair is very nice. Fenrir looks wicked. Harry looks pretty funny! And Ron is, finally, perfect. The new owls are amazing. The new figures look almost cartoony, but I like them anyway. Thanks for these pictures.
  7. Hm, I'm not sure what to say about these? I can for sure say that these are a step back, in my opinion. The figures look extremely nice, like Draco and Ron (when the Minifigure Collection pictures appeared I said: "Wow, that hairpiece would look nice on Ron!" and behold!, Luna, Bellatrix, Fitch, ... Also nice to have; the new owls. They have a new design and are now printed with eyes and a beak. The Dobby set could be better, but the figures will be nice. The Quidditch set is ok, it's all about the figures. Hagrid's Hut looks fine, it's nice to have Aragog in it and some new elements. The Hogwarts castle looks amazing! Judging the pictures it's the best version till date, with an awesome interior and lots of teachers. And the Burrow, nice job on designing it, the interior looks very nice and of course, having most of the Weasley family in the set makes it a must get. But I'm not so happy with the design, it looks too dark, if you know what I mean. Does it have these dark colours to let it match with the setting (at night)? The interior and figures make up for the design, but I have to say I'm more happy with my own design of the Burrow. That probably sounds weird, but well... What happened to the train?! Yes, the figures and the Ford Anglia are nice, but this is a step back when looking at the old design. Times change, but it's a shame they don't look so good as the old LEGO Harry Potter series. But that won't stop me from buying them. At this moment I'm not extremely happy with them, but by the time the final pictures will have arrived I know I will like every set of the theme. They will grow on me. I wonder if they were inspired by my version of the Burrow?
  8. That is indeed awesome news. I hope we have the pictures within a couple of days. If they would make a Ravenclaw uniform, they just have to make a Hufflepuff uniform also. Cedric Diggory would be perfect for this. Then I'll have a Hogwarts with official torsos, and they wouldn't be all Gryffindor torsos.
  9. I would be very happy with that, then we would have a figure for Kreacher! I'm trying to wait patiently on the photos of the new sets... It doesn't work so well.
  10. I can't see it because I'm not living in the United Kingdom.

    The Burrow

I know I'm double posting but I would like to share the little scene I made with the Burrow at Tielt this weekend. It includes the garage, the broom cabinet, some chickens (based on mijasper's design), the flying Ford Anglia, the Weasley family (except for Percy) and Harry and Hermoine. And of course the Burrow itself! I know the layout of it isn't accurate. The garage should be standing at the back of the photo because here you can see the garden/back of the house. But it was nicer and easier to look at it this way. I'll edit this post if somebody has made some better pictures of it.
  12. Thanks for posting. I love the little minifigures representing the characters. And: a dark brown cat!
  13. Here is the link to the article: http://www.spieletest.at/bericht.php?ID=775 ;it also includes pictures of the new Castle theme! And: oh man, these figures are so awesome! And we haven't seen the first figures in stores yet.
  14. Wow! Thanks CopMike! This is so extremely generous, it's fantastic. I love the prizes, they are all minifigures I don't own. I can't express how much I want to thank you.
  15. "I love to shop here, whenever I come here I can't get this smile off my face!" "Yeah... Imagine, I've been working here for 15 years, for a low salary and I'm still smiling!" I guess it's the lovely surroundings?
  16. Another very nice chapter, Sandy! The creations fit well in the comic, and they are also very good. I also didn't have any problems with the amount of characters. I'm looking forward to the next chapters. Great job!
  17. Very nice creation, Etzel! I like the colours, they match very well together. The shop sign is amazing, although I think it's a bit too high. The vulture is very nice. Nice job!
  18. Great scene! It's very nice, especially the rocks. And I like the way you've represented the action going on.
  19. Awesome buildings, I Scream Clone! Like I've said many times before, I am a huge fan of your building style. The colours look well together, the architecture is very nice. The details are great and the action going is also great. Those are nice decals you've made there, they fit perfectly! And the tumbleweed are well thought out. Great job!
  20. Thanks for the link! It looks very good, although I spot some minor faults. Like the yellow on Ron's torso and the face of Lockhart. It looks like the Ford Anglia got an upgrade, it looks better than the older one.
  21. That's a very nice ship! I think it's awesome. The colours match very well and I like the details and everything. Especially the figurehead, I haven't seen one like that. Great job on the sails and rigging (that's what it's called, right? ). Fantastic!
  22. Although we haven't seen actual pictures of the sets, I must say the picture of the board game makes up for it. Looks like an awesome parts pack, yellow frogs (and normally blue and red ones, but I can't spot them)! Hogwarts tile! And lots of brown. Hopefully there are some sneaky and blurry pictures of the sets, like the Star Wars ones, to add some more tension to our guessing work.
  23. Welcome fellow Harry Potter fan! I hope we'll see some nice HP creations from you.
  24. Aha, looks like you were right, SuperChris! They have appeared on the London Toy Fair. That's useful information, thanks. I'm especially interested in the figures, so I'll take a bit about them. I'm looking forward to the new designs, but I really really hope they match perfectly with the old designs. If the new Dobby fits with the old one, only some small differences, then we have Dobby and Kreacher! I wasn't sure about a flesh Dobby at first, I hope he's tan. But if he's fleshie, then it's just a colour difference in the race of elfs, just like in real life. I'm wondering how they changed the Dementors, there wasn't much to change about them, I thought they were perfect. I hope the Quidditch set has four figures from the four Hogwarts houses. My favorite set at the moment would be the Burrow, only because I'm hoping to see Arthur, Molly and Ginny. And the twins. If the train isn't much different from the last version then that would probably be the only one I would not buy. But it would be handy, then I could build my own one from the pieces of the first and second one. A little Hogsmeade station building, like the one with the motorized version, would be great again. Aargh, all this speculation makes me too excited.
  25. Welcome on Eurobricks, I hope you'll have a good time here! Your MOCs are awesome, the landscape with the waterfall still impresses me whenever I see it.
