  1. He was described like a small and very old man. Yes, the first Flitwick was small and old, but he looked like a goblin! I think I've also read that somewhere. Anyway, I actually like that new figure of Flitwick (nephew or not), it's a very nice and funny looking minifigure. I have a Flitwick for myself, small, old and not being family of the goblins.
  2. I also think that. His haircut in the last films is way too short. In the Prisoner of Azkaban it was perfect. I wouldn't like it so much if they changed the hairpiece, except when they change it in this hairpiece (Clone Wars Anakin) but in black. It would be perfect because Harry looks in a mirror in the Deathly Hallows and he has hair to his shoulders. It would be something like this:
  3. Flitwick and Rita look very good. Vernon looks also pretty good, though I'm using this head for my interpretation of Vernon Dursley. Lately, I've found many differences between the books and films (involving characters) and when making Harry Potter characters LEGO hasn't produced, I like to base myself on the books. Vernon has a huge black moustache, so it works well. But I like what you've done with the sculpy to make him look bigger. Oh, the ghosts! They look very accurate and good. The paint job is good, except for the fingerprint on Rowena's dress. But it's no big deal. They looks all so good together! Headless Nick is my favorite of the four, he looks really good. I still hope LEGO will release clear minifigures some day to use as ghosts (although it seems very unlikely). Fudge looks also good. I hope LEGO releases a dark green bowler had in the future (with all these new hat designs, who knows! ). Great job!
  4. It looks very much like the one in the movie, so they did a great job designing it! This is the first LEGO Toy Story set I really want to get my hands on. Mostly because of nostalgic reasons, but it looks like a very nice set and care to place in a town. Now if it only included Woody... I guess I'll have to buy that set with RC and that rocket.
  5. Happy birthday! I hope you will have/had a great day.
  6. Woah, for free? Nice! Those domes look good, I didn't think they were going to be filled up. I thought they would be 'empty' at the back and inside. Those new arches look very interesting and useful. I hope they make it in tan also.
  7. How did you got them? They look pretty nice, especially the headprints and the hair.
  8. Thanks for this excellent review. The pictures are perfect! I like the set, although I don't have it. These little shops released by LEGO are really nice because they fit in a normal tabletown. And there are so many nice pieces in there, like the hand tile and the sand blue pieces. I also thought that, so now I'm rebuilding most of my LEGO Harry Potter sets!
  9. All I really want now (because I'm actually pretty satisfied with Ginny, Bellatrix, ...) is the Weasley twins and Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff torso's. The twins could be made with official LEGO pieces, but if they don't release torso's of the other houses I'll probably make them myself based on the new design which combines the first and second school uniform design.
  10. This talking about train tunnels and mountains inspires me to build one myself (that Holiday Mountain looks beautiful). On a part of the right side of my tabletown there's room for me to take decent pictures, but I'll put it away and extend the train track to the right corner. When that's done I'll build a mountain over the track so I'll also could put some houses on top of the mountain if it works out right. I'll add some pictures if it works out like I want it to be.
  11. I haven't read the books, but I've seen the films a few times (and more ). Your ideas look great, so what are you waiting for? Get out those bricks and start building your own Middle-earth sets!
  12. That's a very nice terrain you've built. It fits Hagrid's Hut very well. It would be nice to see some actual grass or plants, or a nice pumpkin field on the side.
  13. DATAFX7 on Flickr described what the feature is of the chimney. The flames won't turn green if you tilt the knob on the side. The figure will disappear, it tilts back and flips behind the fireplace.
  14. These are awesome, Penguin! I really like them, it's nice to see how someone else has these characters in mind. Horace Slughorn looks very good. I'm a fan of Jim Broadbent's impersonation of Slughorn, a giant moustache (how Slughorn was described with) doesn't compare with Jim Broadbent. The hair and the expression are perfect. I have to admit I forgot the librarian was in the films... I always pictures her very old and long. Your figure looks very much like in the picture, great job! I like the modification on her wizard hat, not all hats have to be the same. Madam Pomfrey looks spot on to me. She looks also like her film counterpart. The hair an hat piece are very good. Great job on all of them, I'm looking forward to the next ones.
  15. Where do you live in Belgium? I may be interested in the LEGO Harry Potter sets.
  16. Happy Birthday Ras! I hope you'll have a great day filled with the things you like!
  17. Yes, it's a new kind of door. It's a bit like the new window shutters, relying on vertical clip plates or the newer clip bricks. It's nice to have a new style of doors, although I liked the old style more (which made use of the Shutter Holder piece). Oh, well, it's nice because not all the doors have to be the same. And I'm one of the few who actually like the Hagrid's Hut set. I have the first one, a really nice set, but the roof wasn't so good. I think I'm going to rebuild the set and then perhaps make my own roof. Meanwhile I'm trying to get my hands on the second version, but this new version looks also very nice! EDIT: That's a shame to hear, but also not unexpected to hear. On the other hand, isn't it a bit early to say there isn't going to be a second wave? Anyway, I'm just too happy that they've made these great set, with many figures we have been asking for. It's indeed an even better way to go than the Hogwarts Castle set of 2007.
  18. Indeed, I've never got something against stickers. I like them, actually. And this is a good example of how to use them properly in sets. They match perfectly. The Burrow, as a LEGO set, looks actually just perfect. It's a wacky building, it has very nice and unexpected details, awesome figures AND the set has playability. Perfect match. I want it. Now. I just hope these sets will be sold good, so they would make a second line. I doubt the Burrow won't sell well, children love buildings and you get Ginny and Bellatrix! Who wouldn't want to have these figures.
  19. Oh, the Burrow does look good from the front. I've changed my mind: I love it! I won't nitpick anymore about the colours, they fit very well. The diversity in windows look good and I like those "wooden" tiles. It's nice to see some more pictures, the more the merrier. I love all the close-ups of the figures, I can't stop looking at them. Hermoine (and Snape) are indeed the only figures I'm not so sure about. They look very nice, but their older versions were better. Snape's version of 2007 was perfect. Hermoine could be better, but here she looks a bit too... I don't know, it's weird to say. But it fits with the new Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, they look younger. EDIT: The interior of the Burrow is so nice. They've even managed to make the clock, yes, it's a sticker, but it's awesome.
  20. Indeed. And you can always build your own Burrow, like I did because I wasn't expecting a set. It would be nice to have a stadium sized Quidditch arena, but I'm not a huge fan of the Quidditch sport, so I'll focus my creations on other things. Meanwhile, I've got so many ideas in my head to make with these figures. I can't wait! EDIT: I agree with Sandy. But there are still some nice ideas to build, if LEGO would run out of them. But I'm very happy with remakes, look at the newest Hogwarts set! It's as good as the second version. I just hope we'll get too see some main characters. Neville and the Weasley twins would be very welcome.
  21. The Burrow is a mess. It's described like that in the books. It's designed like that in LEGO. It looks nice. I can't wait to have my hands on it and compare it with my version of it! Those new Dementors look also very nice. When I have them, I will use the older heads and bodies for them, because the new cloth looks perfect.
  22. I really hope they will release a second wave. Just like LEGO Indiana Jones. And if it becomes popular, a third one. Why not! There are still a lot of figures which need to made, especially Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff torsos. They've made such nice and new torsos, why not use them for all the houses. I can't wait to have these minifigures in my hands and make so many creations with them, creations which I'm not able to make now because of the lack of matching figures.
  23. Well, it seems like they're done with uploading these beautiful pictures of LEGO Harry Potter. Now we'll have to wait on the official pictures and 9 months to have them in our hands. But I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. Great figures, nice accesoires and good buildings.
  24. What an impressive exterior, indeed! So many brown window pieces! It looks very good, like it has to be. If I could, I would like the thank the crew who worked on these new sets. Great job!
  25. Looks like an awesome Snape, a tormented Snape. I'm not sure which one I like more, this new one or the last one. There wasn't need for a new one, in my opinion. Anyways, I think the room with the handcuffs is the restricted area of the library? Voldemort looks great! Although pretty cartoony, like Flitwick. But very nice.
