  1. Built by my 11 year old brother. Kendrick and Basil have finally reached their destination, the market place. Here Kendrick meets with some old friends and makes some purchases. Basil enjoys a vendor's produce: Few more pics here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=530053 He would appreciate any C&C
  2. There were some decent parts on the PaB wall: Pic gives a link to flickr where I added piece count/description via notes. Total of 2,279 pieces from 3 small PaB cups and one large PaB cup, could have fit a bit more, but didn't have a ton of time
  3. Thanks Masa!
  4. Wow Even from the WIP pics I wasn't expecting something of this size/quality Your use of the double slopes in the road looks very dwarven and elaborate Great entrance and tower (love the windows and pointy details on that) too: the black stands out nicely and you incorporated Mitgardian colors well The rockwork looks a little rough, but that works well for the mountain effect in my opinion (I'm just too used to seeing slope built rocks ). I like the technique you decided on for the waterfall, though it doesn't stand out too much from the bley rockwork in these pics, if you can get better ones as you hope that would probably help. The trees are excellent, I like that you made a nice variety and the fruit looks delicious Nice plant designs too, the lever bases work well for flowers (I've done that before myself) and I like the color they add The little foot-bridge angled across the stream (which I also think turned out well) is a great detail. It's obvious to see that you put a lot of time and effort into this and the final result is one to be proud of
  5. Scary The throne has some very nice piece usage (the dragon skulls and old doors) and the dripping wax is superb Nice touch with the imprisoned frog too
  6. You definitely captured the Forestman feel The camoflauged tree-houses are great and I like how well-hidden the archers are Way to enter the castle scene
  7. Great mosaic! The black/white/grey work really well
  8. Finally going to the LEGO store, hopefully there will be some decent parts on the PaB wall. Will post some pics after I get back
  9. @Garmadon: As a Mitgardian you are only eligible to win the Mitgardian prize pack. Glad to hear you will try and get an entry in. As for running as Mich Maxersine, it's up to you, but he has already been established as a candidate for PM, therefore gaining political background...
  10. Typo Still doesn't feel that long, for some reason I thought it had only been one year
  11. I know, an apple bigger than your head?!? I guess most LEGO elements are out of scale though
  12. Thanks kabel I still may use entirely bley walls for certain things, but I've found that even a few accents in a different color can add a lot Thanks Wedge
  13. Nothing to be sorry about, keep going with the build until you're satisfied If I remember correctly you ran into that problem with your Varlyrio build but, when you did finish it it was one of your best builds ever Wow, just looked at when GoH started Will be 2 years this November. Doesn't seem like that much time has passed It's been a ton of fun building for Mitgardia
  14. I mean turning the slopes so that the water would run on top of the next row of slopes rather than under. An example in real life would be shingles, the bottom shingles are laid first, then more layers on top of them, rather than starting at the top. See what I mean? This picture has on Flickr has a note on it that says the same thing with different words: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirens-of-titan/6655356129/in/faves-66620538@N04/
  15. Great work Kaliphlin! Good work Kai setting this up, collaborative efforts like these make GoH what it is
  16. That makes sense Yup, I purposefully planned the MAC to continue past Chapter 1. Your group project sounds great too, stuff like that is one of the best parts of GoH
  17. Thanks Infernum! I'd never really realized how out of scale LEGO apples were before
  18. Thanks Balthasar, I kind of inverted the color-scheme you've used on some of your MOCs, glad you like it Thanks! The roof of the keep was one of my favorite sections of this build. As for the name, often I steal borrow names from books But this time I looked up some Norse words, rough translation of Forngord: Ancient building
  19. Any idea on when/how the second chapter will be initiated? I'm assuming this fall? If so are there any plans for the in-between time? Looking forward to the results of Challenge VI, it was a great finale to finish Chapter 1 with
  20. Thanks, he likes his tan too Goats are pretty sturdy animals, those are some large apples though Good point about the path, thanks for the comment Thanks monsinjor, he did make a beach hotel before, and I will
  21. Thanks Dutchy! I think he did quite well myself
  22. Built by my 11 year old brother, I helped him a bit with the wall design for this build. Kendrick and Basil have almost reached their destination, now they are just about to enter the city where Kendrick will meet his companions: He would appreciate any comments/criticism
  23. Yeah I did enter this there, I don't know that it will win though, I wasn't able to fit to much siege equipment in
  24. Sounds great, make these your best yet
  25. Thanks Ska! The roofs were fun to experiment with as I had a bunch of new corner roof slopes from that large tub of LEGO I recently acquired. Used pretty much all of them here
