  1. Thanks Wedge
  2. Thanks Gideon! It's pretty neat how much you can fit on a 32x32 baseplate Thanks, and don't worry I'm sure you'll improve quickly. It's very helpful to be able to get feedback via GoH
  3. Thanks I would love to see you do an opening castle, I think far too few of them are built. Having each hinged section be a separate room would be really neat, if I had had a bit more space to work with I may have done that. It definitely takes a bit of thought to design a hinging layout, but they're well worth the effort
  4. Thanks Infernum, this is definitely my favorite castle yet, mainly because of the opening function, but my Fortress of Cameria build has a much more impressive landscape... maybe I'll build a sweet landscape for this too in the future. It would be easy because the castle just lifts off Well there will always be builders who you consider better than yourself (I consider a ton of people better than me), but that shouldn't stop you from building and having fun doing it. The more you build the better you'll get
  5. Thanks Captain Settle, and yes that is Drottin Manaor my candidate Thank you, sets like this would be pretty cool Thanks jeroenaa! I'm looking forward to when you get a camera so we can see your builds too
  6. Drottin Manaor, and his home Manaor Castle: Drottin Manaor has ruled the village of Sveithaven faithfully for many years. Now with all the chaos resulting from the Elemental attacks and Hand of Corruption raids Manaor feels that some of the plans he has implemented for Sveithaven's benefit could be of a help to Mitgardia. Some of his plans include: Arming and training special groups of soldiers, known as the Beams of Light, to fight the Hand of Corruption: Putting the poor and needy to work building new fortresses and repairing old ones. Then paying them for the work so they can afford food and houses: Setting up new trading posts in the mountains of Mitgardia so that it is easier for trappers, clansmen, and miners to trade their products increasing commerce in Mitgardia: Vote for Drottin Manaor to vote for tried and true plans to help Mitgardia thrive!
  7. Inspired by castles built by Karrde, 2 Much Caffeine, LL, vdubguy67, and de Gothia. There used to be a lot of castles built on only a 32x32 baseplate, but I haven't seen many lately. I also haven't seen many castles with hinged walls/opening interiors and this was built with those two main goals in mind. The castle lifts off of the baseplate then can hinge open. All the doors/trapdoors work and every building has a full interior. Some of the rooms include: a storage room, an armory, a dining room, a chapel, and a bedroom. This is my favorite castle yet. Manaor Castle is the Home of Drottin Manaor (my candidate for Prime Minister) and protects the city of Sveithaven which Drottin rules: Lifted off of the baseplate: Lots more detail pics here: link All C&C appreciated
  8. I think I'll be able to post it today, I took pictures yesterday and now just have to make the webpage for it You shouldn't have to wait long Yes! Get to it EDIT: Manaor Castle is up: I also have my candidate for PM up
  9. Glad to see you enter! I like the sand green/white colors of the shrine, it reminds me of ZC's challenge V build My favorite construction detail is the guy rounding the pillars Excellent surprise with the Hand hideout too. Don't forget to post a pic and link in the MAC topic
  10. Excellent build! You did a very good job showing the different phases of the house, I especially like the rafters
  11. Yes indeed, I'm pretty happy with that, especially for how simple it is Sometimes images from my website don't like to show up I'll post one from Flickr later, then you should be able to see it EDIT: Switched the pic in my original post, hope you can see it now. The fortress is finished, and it is my favorite castle yet I just need to do the landscaping then take some pictures
  12. Looks like you completed the ship? The water is tremendous, looks very stormy Weren't you worried about losing pieces when you smashed these
  13. Not bad for a one day build Seriously though, This is a superb build, The wall and roof texturing are top-notch and I like the wooden supports under the roof I too like the cannons for the chimney, but the transition from the brick section to the cannons looks a little rough in my opinion. Excellent landscape too, great to have you back
  14. Well officially ZC and you were the only Avalonian challenge winners, Rogue and Captain were both announced as winners for Challenge V and VI respectively: "he (ZC) was DQed from winning an individual prize this round and the Orc will go to the very deserving rogueang." And "Orc shall go to Captain Beerbeard."
  15. I'm rather amazed by how recognizable it is as a Ferrari, yet still obviously a futuristic vehicle Incredible engines/stabilizers too
  16. It is easy to see you took your time and made sure every detail was just right The color scheme is excellent. I really like the facade, especially balcony and windows Superb interiors as well, my favorite details inside: the nautical theme, the shower, the lamp on the nightstand, the fridge, and the stove area Top-notch build, you really have a knack for modulars
  17. I believe he means most recent. Even Americans will say "last week" when it obviously wasn't the last week as they are in the next week
  18. Yes indeed, it may contain a few surprises though Very happy to hear you're working on a MAC entry! And I'm hoping there will be quite a few more within the next week Thanks! It looks like a castle now, I'm actually almost done
  19. Tremendous build Even in bley this would be superb, but the dark red makes it even better! The landscape sets the fortress off well and the small dark green roof looks great Reminds me of these beauties, except for smaller:
  20. Here is an early WIP pic of my current project: Already finished my three vignettes for PM, so expect to see my candidate soon
  21. I think this is your best 'ruined' build yet I like the remnants of the wooden floor and the landscaping is excellent
  22. The whole bridge/castle section is very unique and looks great Superb battle effects as well
  23. Excellent wall design, the upside down windows add a unique touch and I like the use of crates Great micro build too
  24. Nice little watchtower, I like the brickwork, though I agree with Garmadon and Gideon about the battle damage and stacks of brick bricks. The foliage is excellent and the sand green slopes give a neat effect Keep it up
  25. Interesting development, I wonder who the niece is... Great minifigure combos and the villians' descriptions are excellent
