Which is your favorite lego star wars creature?
jedikermit replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My favorite one they made is the Dewback--my favorite one as yet unmade is the Tauntaun. Love those guys. -
Very funny, very nicely built and photographed--my fedora's off to you, sir. *y*

What do you want to see from the Batman Theme

The Mad Hatter's car should look like a teacup! Thanks for the welcome back--my Masters Degree is kicking my bum. -
What do you want to see from the Batman Theme
jedikermit replied to Batbrick's topic in LEGO Licensed
My list is probably the same as everyone else's... Commissioner Gordon Batgirl (and then it gets unrealistic with Oracle, Huntress, and more allies) Man-Bat Clayface Mad Hatter Ra's Al Ghul (etcetera ad infinitum) I'd love to see some buildings--a rooftop for the GCPD, some version of Wayne Manor, some simple storefronts for the baddies to assault, etc. As for the vehicles, I hope they keep coming, with just enough variation to keep things interesting. And I personally hope they keep the "one hero, one villain" theme going in this line--as long as they keep Batman's costume changing, and keep his sidekicks rotating, I don't have a problem with that. But we do need a few fresh villains. Maybe in 2009? -
Mine too...that was the first time I was genuinely moved by any cartoon. I was shocked. Even 16 years later, I still remember how amazing that episode was. It really showed the potential for the series and the medium.

Quick Question about LEGO Minifig Magnets...
jedikermit replied to jedikermit's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Cool. Thanks for the answers and the tip; I'm definitely ordering some of the bricks--I wasn't sure if I was going to do the minifig magnets too. -
Quick Question about LEGO Minifig Magnets...
jedikermit replied to jedikermit's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks guys--last question and then I'll leave you alone: If the magnets are in the back of the legs, could the minifigs still "sit" on a LEGO brick? That is, do the magnets fill the holes in the back of the legs, or is there still a place for LEGO studs to fit into the back of their legs? I think that's it. And Case Windu, I'm not sure if I'll do it yet, but I've considered it. I already have Justice League action figures and PEZ dispensers in my classroom--I'm trying to see how much "fun" stuff I can bring in before my principal tells me I need to tone it down. -
Hey, I have a quick question about the Minifig Magnets (Batman, Star Wars, etc.) at LEGO Shop at Home... Where are the magnets located in the figure? In the feet, back, where? It doesn't make that clear on the website. And are the minfigs still poseable? I think that's it. Thanks...considering buying some for my classroom, but I need a little more info first.

Welcome back, Batbrick! I've been rewatching parts of the first season too, and you're right--it's a much darker, more mature series than most of live action television. And it outpaces WB's current animation slate by...a lot.

Has Indiana Jones made ancient history of Johnny Thunder?
jedikermit replied to Col. Whipstick's topic in LEGO Licensed
Badger, I've gotta just pop in and say that your arguments are the most eloquent and well-reasoned that I've seen in on online message board in some time. Even though I don't agree with 100% of what you're saying, you're convincing me anyway. It's a treat to actually see someone take the time to write something worth reading. Or in other words, *y* *y* *y* -
I'd like them to expand their Batman license to include other DC Comics properties, like Superman, Justice League, Teen Titans, etc. I'd also like the Romans theme that's been bandied about for some time. And either a zoo or a farm in minifig scale.

Has Indiana Jones made ancient history of Johnny Thunder?
jedikermit replied to Col. Whipstick's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ford's last several movies have bombed at the box office...and I don't know what else George Lucas has planned. At this point I think the only one of the three who has much going for him is Spielberg, and he seems pretty game. Maybe they've got a few adventures left in them yet? -
My votes went to: Kit Fisto Dwarves Professor Umbridge Sea Captain

I voted for the current decade, but the 80's would have been close on its heels.

Has Indiana Jones made ancient history of Johnny Thunder?
jedikermit replied to Col. Whipstick's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ditto. That's how I've always seen JT too. I also wonder...will there be a 5th Indiana Jones movie? If this one does well, I can see Lucas, Spielberg and Ford getting onboard again for another installment. -

Hasn't Johnny been ancient history for a while now? When was the last Johnny Thunder set produced? -
Indiana Jones Part 4 - Set Pictures are available

Me-ow. I like! -
I don't get why everyone is so anti-missile...especially with the Tumbler, which HAS missiles--Captain Gordon used them to take down the monorail bridge in Gotham City and save the city in "Batman Begins." So...what's wrong with the missiles? And can't you just mod them out of your version of the model if they're so hated?

For very preliminary pics, these look fine to me. I'm hoping they'll improve of course, but they look about like what I was expecting. I'll be buying both of 'em.

Review: 7620 Indiana Jones - Motorcycle Chase
jedikermit replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Welcome, Mr. Customizer! For those who are in the US who haven't found these yet, Target's got them now, for a few dollars less than Toys R Us did. Or maybe a dollar less. In any case, I picked up the three smaller sets yesterday--didn't think I could smuggle the Temple Escape past my wife without her freaking out, and I'm not sure if I'm going to buy that one anyway. But the new sets have hit Target. Yay! -
You're going to give Batbrick a heart attack. In fact, maybe you already did! I had a hard time getting used to The Batman, and I still think the Joker's the worst redesign on the show. The others I can handle, but I hate his look, his voice, his characterization...he's terrible. But I've warmed up to the show over the last few years--after they added Batgirl, Robin, and this season the Justice League, I've been liking it more and more. But I'd still rather keep the LEGO license focused on a more "timeless" design for the characters...amalgamations that take the comics, TV, movies, and other media into account and give us a nice classic look.

Actually, if they opened it up to IJ's own Expanded Universe, there have been books, comics, and video games they could use. So you could have things like the Spear of Destiny, the Search for Atlantis, and other adventures. There's plenty of stuff for LEGO to do, trust me.

Beautifully executed, Sinner. *y*

Hummmm....intriguing. These could be great sets.
