The box on the left definitely has a speeder bike. I'm betting on a Snowtrooper pack, so they MUST be Hoth themed. Look at all the white!

It can't be: The official set has 216 pieces, and with an added bonus, there is no way it would be the 202 pieces in the exclusive.

Squidman's Pitstop Now Available from LEGO Shop @ Home!
Derek replied to Luke McAwesome's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I have no idea, but who doesn't love some good carrots? Thanks for sharing Striker! -
Haha I love it! I find it hilarious how the woman with the tan bag really has no business being there, other than her "professional" relationship with Fireman Jake. Very well done!!!!!!

Hey CopMike, do you know if we will see any of these pieces in official sets? Or are they just for the game line? Specifically the new molds (2X2 jumer, 1X1 stud with hole...) Thanks for sharing these, they're great !

What is the cheapest set with asoka?
Derek replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Why don't you look on Bricklink or Brickset for yourself? I'm sure it would have taken half the time to find out that way than it did to create a new topic. No offense, its just I don't think questions like this are worthy of new threads... And if you want a cheap(ish) set with Ahsoka, but her starfigher. -
We are all entitled to our own opinion. I think that getting a new hobby just because we don't like one set is a little extreme. We all love Lego, that's why we are here, but sometimes its good to criticize things that we might not like so much because 1) It wouldn't be very healthy if we just LOVED everything that came our way 2) Lego listens to us. If there is something that NOBODY likes, they definately take that into consideration when creating new products. AFOLs have been waiting for an official system scaled RBR since the licsense began, 10 years ago. Having this set be non-system scaled would be a bit of a letdown for most, as many have been patiently waiting for such a set for years. And, if this set does not contain figures, there is a low chance we will see one with them before the liscense is "supposed" to end (2012, but have a strong feeling it will yet again be renewed...) -darthperson

I doubt that that is the exclusive that we have heard of. The box pic in the magazine had set the set information area thing on it, I'm willing to bet money that this is a separate giveaway by DK. And anything that is free is pretty nice, even if you don't like the post cards, I would save them, they might be worth something eventually! And that was possibly the most confusing sentence I've ever read posted on here.

LEGO ranked 8th best brand out of 1400
Derek replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That is fantastic! Considering the other mainstream companies and brands on that list, this can only be a good thing for Lego! -
Hmmm. I've never seen it before. However, the minifigures in the pens are not real figures at all...

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Derek replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That mining station looks very empty and bare. Definitely not worth $80 IMO... -
I wouldn't say its a carbon copy. The front and back of both ships are different. Besides, the two original ships are similar, saying that this is like the Republic Cruiser is like saying that the CW Y-wing is like the classic one. The ships are different, yet similar, the point of this in the movie is to show transition. As for the RBR, I think that it is a great set. I don't think I'll get it, but may reconsider if there is a decent interior and figures. Hopefully they don't pull a "midi-scale" and not include any...

Nice review of one of my favorite HP sets! I remember going to the store to get this set, and finding it on clearance anyway! I just love all of the pieces and accesories that give this set character, I only wish that they included more figures, or Buckbeak and Fang, and made the pumpkin patch a bit bigger... I can't wait for the new movie to come out this week! I just really, really wish they made more sets for these last movies. There are such great opportunities for scenes and figures that have yet to be made, and with the recent quality in figures and sets overall, I'm sure we wouldn'tve been disappointed...

The set in the bottom right corner is the RGS... But the two battlepacks are definately new, as we don't have any sets that size with the new red clone packaging. As to what the battlepacks contain, we might be surprised. It seems like its Hoth themed, but when we were speculating around this time last year, I don't remember anyone giving a thought to an Assassin Droid pack, so Lego may surprise us once again... I do think that the red/orange looking figure in question is a Rebel pilot, so I'm at least convinced that it is OT. This would follow the pattern we've seen so far...

Because it looks good. We are already getting a new torso print, I wouldn't get too picky...
-
Its quite possible that they don't have very many of them produced yet. They could be offering the few that they have in the collection, and waiting until they have more in numbers to release it individually...

Haha I saw that yesterday, that's such a random number! I don't know why I notice things like that... It does bother me, however that the Cairo set is $11 USD instead of $10. It has less parts than the other $10 Indy sets, but also has another figure to make up for it. I'll still buy it in a heartbeat as soon as I see it in stores, its just a minor annoyance...

I bet it is a few of the new Republic mini's in one set (AT-TE, RGS, maybe V-19) that is surely going to be overpriced... As it was like last year, I wouldn't get my hopes up for a new set....

Has anyone noticed the fequency at which conflict related words such as "chase" or "ambush" are used in system sets? I mean "heist" was used in three of this summer's sets alone, two of which in the same theme (SPIII). Here are some rough numbers (according to Brickset)- -Race- Too many to count... -Fight- 64 -Attack-38 -Rescue- 47 -Battle- 34 -Command- 29 -Hunt- 17 -Chase- 15 -Fortress- 15 -Defender- 10 -Ambush- 9 -Escape- 7 -Defense- 7 -Assault- 6 -Pursuit- 6 Just thought it was interesting...

I second this, the whole mustache fiasco has been one of the hottest (and eventually became the most pointless) topics in the Licensed subforum. I am excited that the new sets are on S@H, I hope they are in stores soon. I really don't want to fork out even more money for shipping....

VERY nice! I saw this on the Brothers Brick earlier and was amazed! Fantastic work!

This all sounds fantastic! I can't even begin to express my gratitude to the staff for making this such a fantastic website and community! If you ever need help, I might be intersted...

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Derek replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think that this new base set looks great, but I would figure they would do this as one of the main release sets. Anyway, I think that the big green wheel is obnoxious, and is probably an excuse to get rid of leftovers from Exo-Force... -
MOC - Small Agents Helicopter
Derek replied to brickzone's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I wish it was an official set! This is about 10x better than all of the other Agents vehicles we've seen out of the actual theme. Really nice work!
