  1. I do think there is a bit more substance in 03 Clone Wars than you give credit. Mainly Anakin's character, we see him go from a whiny padawan, to the Jedi knight we see in ROTS. He has much better character development in 03 then 08 Clone Wars. 03 Clone wars is more limited by it's length but I think it still hits all the important parts of the clone wars in a couple hours.
  2. Ideally they'd just remake the $13 wizard battle set.
  3. My ranking of all the Star Wars shows I've seen: 1. 03 Clone Wars 2. 08 Clone Wars 3. Andor 4. Mandalorian 5. Rebels 6. TBoBF 7. Kenobi Note: I haven't watched Mando s3 so that might affect the ranking.
  4. To make you guys feel old, I was born the year they switched the greys and browns.
  5. That's me, my first set was in 2007-08. I never even knew old grey and brown existed for a long time.
  6. That's a pretty common sentiment here. Sith you say? My apprentice Darth Zannah and I are the only ones left.
  7. That was a great battle pack, I always liked how the rebel trooper had indiana jones head.
  8. Personally I think Star Wars works better as film medium, for TV shows they should've just stuck to animated stuff. Most of the Disney shows don't even feel like Star Wars to me.
  9. I think the countless shows have made SW as a whole feel less special. I do think a movie every year from 2015-2019 was too much though. A movie every 3 years plus animated shows, comics, books, games is the ideal amount for Star Wars content.
  10. Am I the only one who likes to space out larger sets? For 1000+ piece sets I'll build a couple bags in the morning or night over multiple days.
  11. The 2006 X-wing has got to be up there in terms of longest shelf life.
  12. I disagree, we already have midi scale, playscale, and UCS, another price point is overkill. Hot take: the Falcon isn't even that cool as a display set, like Luke said, it is a piece of junk. Ships like Slave 1, Imperial Shuttle, N1 starfighter, Arc-170, are way more aesthetically pleasing than the Falcon.
  13. I do think ANH has been pretty well covered at this point. Besides the 3 sets I mentioned, they could remake the Sky Hopper and Droid Escape pod. I could also definitely see them doing another UCS Falcon.
  14. I'm only really asking for a few sets like the other anniversaries, Maybe a Sandcrawler, Tantive, Obi Wan vs Vader. I wouldn't expect them to do special figures but we'll see. The LSW 20-25th anniversaries were already celebrations of SW as whole. They'll probably celebrate the 30th in 2029, doing essentially the same thing in 2027-2029 is overkill. I suppose the closest thing we can look back to is 2007 which had chrome c3po in sets, and we got a few ANH sets and of course the UCS Falcon.
  15. It's most definitely incorrect. They acknowledged ESB and ROTJ 40th with multiple sets. 2017 didn't even acknowledge the 40th anniversary if I remember correctly, so it will likely be more than that.
  16. I would actually prefer non canon builds to downsized canon ones. The ideal for me is minifig scale canon builds though.
  17. Yeah most of the old battlepack builds were legitimately good, often canon builds, 2010 hoth BPs, 2011 Barc speeder, 2012 Endor speeder. You could throw these on your shelf and they'd just look like nice small sets. Modern BP builds end up looking like micro fighters which are ugly and useless.
  18. It's also worth noting the old DC-17's were made from the same type of of plastic as the kama's and pauldrons and they would come in a pack together. In 2012 they switched to cloth pauldrons and kama's (ARC trooper) so they would've had to make a new mold for it, since we got the scope blaster in 2011 they probably figured that was good enough. Interestingly 2011 sets still used the old DC-17 for Rex and Cody, probably because it came in the pack anyway.
  19. The old pistols were perfect for DC-17's. It's actually crazy how far LSW has fallen, I was looking back at some old winter waves and literally every single set was good. Now I skip entire waves completely.
  20. MAKE LEGO STAR WARS GREAT AGAIN
  21. Yeah it was a bit unfair with the Death Watch having jetpacks too.
  22. We did see Death Watch fight Bomb squad, Horn company and ARF troopers back in 2011.
  23. I haven't kept up with all the Disney stuff so I was curious if they did actually interact.
  24. when did the 327th and Mandos interact?
  25. Yeah besides the color change the build was quite similar to the 1999 Tie advanced. Sets with one figure were pretty common back in the 2000s, I think Lego just had a different philosophy when it came to minifigure distribution. The battle of Endor set also from 2009 came with a bunch of figures because it needs them for the scene, whereas the Tie Advanced really only needs Vader. Lego really progressed a lot from 2009 to 2016 with the Tie advanced; and now almost 10 years old the 2016 Tie Advanced doesn't look dated in the slightest.
