  1. Fantastic entry and chapeau for embracing the challenge with the Q!
  2. I present you my entry for the Underworld-category. The group I chose to (re)create is the Droid Gotra. Originally a band of repurposed Clone Wars-battle droids fighting for droid rights, the Droid Gotra slowly and clandestinely expanded its influence across the Galaxy. The droids often worked as hired guns for larger syndcates like the Crymorah and the Hutt Cartel and never shied away from violence, especially not against organics - their former masters, restricting their programming and free will. At some point during the reign of the New Republic, the Gotra became renowned enough to become one of the Five Families - the group of the most powerful and notorious crime syndicates in the underworld. The looks of my Droid Gotra representatives is heavily inspired by the Mandalorian and Grogu Movie. Building the droids and finding elements for the right proportions and keep them somewhat minifig sized was an interesting challenge. To equip my Droid Gotra members with capes and fur was fun and challeging to push them towards the look of their counterparts in the movie. With a lot of trial and error, I spent quite some time to settle on my 7 characters and their identity and I'm quite proud of the result. I hope you like them too
  3. Thank you very much! I appreciate the compliments
  4. Here I present you my entry for the Alphabet Starfighter Category. Additional Images:
  5. Here, I present you the final entry of my Gyndine-arc in the SW Factions RPG. Here is the accompanying comic:
  6. You bet! (At least I try to accommodate ) and thank you so much for the praise! Looking forward what you come up this time!
  7. Thanks. Indeed, rivers or canals usually look more green than blue. Another builder used dark green, which worked very well too.
  8. This build is carrying the essence of what I imagined urban Gyndine to look like. Of course, a lot of the designs evolved during building, but the flair with the snow heaps and the ice floes on the canal have very much existed since when I came up with the whole Episode pitch! For this Factions episode, I'm really proud that all the entries from other builders have strikingly well nailed the visual identity of the town, we from the game development team had in mind. But not only that - we developed a culture with the palette and look of buildings, the cheese references, the minifigs, the waterside and winter scenery. It was fun and privilege to finally add my vision into the mix. No entry without a comic!
  9. Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it Yes, it's a window.
  10. In this one, the heroes of my campaign finally landed on Gyndine, in the outskirts of the planet's capital. It's winter time on Gyndine and the landscape is covered under a thick blanket of snow. Hiding in the woods, Pria Sungazer and Borres Laredo observe a duo of Snowtroopers trudging along the so-called Cheese Trail... This was particulary fun to build. I really enjoyed how all builders embraced the challenge of the Gyndine Crisis prompt and came up with the winterly aesthetic of the city in their builds. Here, I took it even a bit further. And why the Cheese Trail? Cheese became a running gag during this campaign, starting with a promotional figbarf of Gyndine denizens. One of them was a cheese shop owner. The Gyndine cheese became big part of the planet's lore in the community's canon. It's the luxury good of the planet. The trail is an old transport route from the alps to the city. 11. Here I would like to share with you my interpretation of the Mt. Corvast Citadel on the volcanic world Sarapin. Build amidst a lava lake, the city of Mt. Corvast is the capital and seat of the the Satrap of the planet. The complementary comic:
  12. Here, I present you a build that has been featured recently in a comic chapter for Episode V - The Gyndine Crisis at Star Wars Factions RPG. The scene depicts the cotton marshes on the agriworld of Reytha. Feel free to check out the comic. The comic: Bonus - the Med Bay shown in the Comic: A familiar scene, recreated...
  13. Today, I'd like to share a little interior of an imperial command center that I built for the SW Factions RPG. The command center has been features multiple times in my continuous comic story around the Episode we had running until recently - the Gyndine Crisis. Here are a few close-ups that were also featured in my comic. Lord Commander Vonreg is disatisfied. 14. Thank you very much. Capturing the visual language of Star Wars is always my goal and big part of the fun. Your feedback means a lot
  15. Thanks, appreciate your comments!
  16. I really enjoy this moc. It's always fun to see builds of less prominent or civilian vehicles from Star Wars. You captured the look and the wide seating very well and the color suits it too.
  17. For long, I was reluctant to build a TIE fighter, first and foremost because there have been already so many different takes on this iconic starship - both the standard ones and custom versions. For an upcoming comic I needed a TIE and didn't want to use the series model by Lego (I would maybe use as some background space battle filler), since it will be featured more prominently. What should I say - it was a lot of fun to dive into the visual identity and design of TIE fighters. Funny enough, I started with the name. I wanted to build a TIE Ranger - a long range patrol star fighter that could operate far away from its home fleet. The TIEs are usually heavily standardized so TIE pilots can fly any craft at anytime. This one was projected to be a different, rather rare model line that was abandoned, but now reactivated by the Imperial Remnant during the Gyndine Crisis [a story we are building for right now in the SW Factions RPG]. With the name, I found a wonderful custom fighter render on Reddit by user Healthy-Ad-973 and started to shape my Ranger accordingly. I hope you like the lore I build around. Finally, to enter it as an FZ ship, I made a more colorful version, better fitting to the visual identity of the Flame. Nvertheless I think the grey and black of the original imperial design suits it the most. What do you think? Link to the digital artwork by user Healthy-Ad-973 found on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsShips/comments/1cz2vrn/tie_ranger/ The Flame of Zhar Syndicate* Version: No photo edit: * The Flame of Zhar is the faction I'm leading in the SW Factions RPG. If you are interested to learn more about the faction and the game, write a comment or dm me.
  18. Here I present a build I made for my continuous "Flame and Ashes" - comic. For my comic, I usually would build a scene with a clear aim to support the action and dialogs. This often yields builds, that look like a theater stage or filming set. This time I wanted to create a scene, that is both nice to display and supports the dialogs and scenes. Hence I started with creating these little houses, that would make my little village and early on I realized I need to place them to each other in an interesting way. The outcome was very satisfying and it was a lot of fun adding life with the props like the water tank, the sealed well and of course, some Ikkrukki villagers. The landspeeder is an alternate version of the blue one I have used in another work. This one is the Delvin 57-Radiant. Last but not least, it was a great pleasure to feature two well-known, obscure bounty hunters (see comic in the spoiler section). I tried to write them in character and incorporated some traits form the legends book 'Tales of the Bounty Hunters'. I simply love these memorable side-side characters and I hope you enjoy them appearing in my story too. Here are some additional diorama images: Episode 6 of the comic* * For new readers who are not familiar with the characters and want to learn more about them, I advertise to look into my Flickr account where you can find all the comic episodes of "book 1" Flight of the Phoenix and "book 2" Flame and Ashes, that is in work now.
  19. Thank you You mean like the whole comic format? Or the Sands of Fortune - Logo and banner? Thanks! Great to read the forced perspective is convincing enough
  20. Hello, here you find two recent small builds and comics, that I created for the current episode - The Gyndine Crisis - in the Star Wars Factions RPG. The story of the episode is about a conflict between the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant in 6ABY and unfolds across three locations, the volcanic world of Sarapin, the agriworld Reytha and the industrial sector capital Gyndine. Feel free to check out the episode description and building prompts on the Factions homepage: https://swfactions.net/episode-v-the-gyndine-crisis/ The following vehicles and diorama were built for Sarapin. Here, two comics featuring these builds. The first one features Partt, a recurring character from my continuous stories Flight of the Phoenix and Flame and Ashes in Factions RPG. PARTT TIME JOB THE VAAPAD Thanks for reading!
  21. Hello, here I'd like to share some recent small builds and short stories from the most prominent planet in a galaxy far away. Delvin 57 Supreme Landspeeder: Here, I was aiming for forced perspective, where the Sand People spy on a Prospector encampment. As usual, my builds come to life in my comics, so feel free to read through. No need for background info this time, as both stories are "stand alone" entries for the Sands of Fortune player campaign in the Star Wars Factions RPG. Tatooine won't be tamed Warriors of the Dune Sea
  22. Very nice, very smooth. Interesting approach you've taken and the result is really remarkable. I love the last image, with the Arrestor and Avenger together.
