I learned recently that TLG has little to say in terms of minifigs. Disney has an exclusive licence with Hasbro on Star Wars figurines and TLG is only allowed to combine characters from Star Wars in "construction sets". That's why we will never get Star Wars CMFs. That's why Disney is so restrictive in terms of character licensing and deployment in sets. That's why there are more and more SW sets without minifigs. It's not the price of the print only, it's the license. I do believe TLG sells a ton of dollars for each character they buy the licence for (it's quite different with Marvel or Harry Potter, btw. where competition on the toy market has no exclusive rights like Hasbro). And even if they want to equip a set with certain characters, Disney has the last say.

This is not a take I expected to see on a forum about collecting plastic toys That sentence was a banter, I admit And don't get me wrong, I really like the sequence with the TIE Avenger in Andor S2! They literally made a complete set with a life size model of the fighter! That's awsome and eventually it was the most memorable ship presence of the whole season. It would be neat to get a Lego version of it - probably the easiest for the company to do from Andor, having the potential to be a rather kids friendly set from an otherwise adult series. At least we got the U-Wing. I was just curious as I'm only occasionally looking into this thread, what's all about this counting days and glorification of that potential TIE Avenger model. There are a few amazing mocs with it and I think an existing TIE set is a great starting point to build an own one, if one really, really craves for it now. But I do understand we all need something to talk about ...

This TIE Avenger cult - what is it all about? If you desperately need one, why not re-build one from an existing TIE model? TIEs look all the same

It's a neat design and well conducted translation into Lego. The wing mechanism is cool and the pilot Chiss are great! That's plain digital, right? Or have you built it with physical bricks? (I'm a physical builder and just like it real so it would be a big bonus to me ) Don't want to lower your enthusiasm but don't expect a fireworks of comments and tips for improvement here on short notice, nor I advise you to crave for it, especially if it's a lot of text without any images (I use flickr and copy the url directly into the text - that works well). The really good here is that your model speaks for itself and I like to highlight that you have chosen a very distinct ship and put a lot of effort and brain into it. I really appreciate unique designs that are still immediately recognizable as Star Wars! You can really be proud of the technical terror you've constructed! You have any other projects you're working on? Edit: just read you're working on Chiss spacecrafts, so I'm looking forward to those.

Colin Cantwell would have been proud of this one (I guess).

Your take on the bomber is neat. I really like how you integrated the bomb shaft so that you can "feed" the bombs into it.

Wow, a really neat design. There's so many TIE variants already existing but I'm amazed people still find new approaches to reiterate the design into something new-ish. Nice work!

The landscaping with the snow and the wrecked TIE are perfectly executed!

To the build: it's a wonderful color palette you implemented here. The scene is a rather classic take on the Rebels vs Empire theme and you placed it in a really compelling setting. The camouflage netting is an eye catcher!

To follow up on the comment mentioned in the Bracca Flash - post. This is a fantastic crew! They all have spirit and smell of potential for great adventures and stories! You pushed the right buttons with the characters to make them very star wars-y I personally like Big Moff the most - not because of the fig (it's hard to see anyway) but because of the intriguing story!

Hilarious Really big thanks for the praise but that ball's not over the boards yet. There is serious competition from some great entries and I'm sure you're a serious contender for 1st place in many categories! I guess many builders would be extra critical with their own builds. I checked and all your builds entered are neat. No "process" I'm aware of It's trial and error probably. I sometimes develop a character and look for the perfect representation in Lego minifig possible. Sometimes I have a cool fig barfed and it starts to "tell" its story and develop into an interesting character. If you're looking for parts outside of Star Wars, I realized that there are some good star-wars-y figure parts from Ninjago.

I really like the lush thicket around the landing zone and how the Rebel fighters blend in. The Shuttle is the main build here and executed nicely, but it doesn't intrude itself upon the viewer. It also blends in with the whole build! I like how you built the ramp! Also, the depiction of action is on point. But would the Rebels do this? I presume the leadership of Bail Organa and Mon Mothma made pretty clear that the Rebel Alliance must be better than the Empire from morale and ethical point of view in order to not only win the war but to win over people. They wouldn't do "war crimes" like shooting wounded. With the battle of Scarif the transformation of a loose group of cells with different history and record was completed. The cells not living up to the morale code like the Partisans would be kept out or diminish. That's my 5 cents This "controversy" you built in doesn't lessen the overall greatness of your entry, of course.

Spacers, Smugglers and Miners alike, visit the Taboo afterwork to have a drink and relax at the bar. And if they're hungry, the droid-chef is more than happy to prepare a nutritious and spicy meal. Burnin Konn suffered heavily under Imperial despotism, devastating the world under Operation Cinder and starvation under the Iron Blockade. Now a free trade and mining world, the trophies above the bar tell the story of liberation and victory. The venue offers a console for offworld-communication in the foyer and a juke-box in the patron's main room. The only drawbacks of this place? For the toilette, one needs to go outside! Take a tour through the inside and outside below! *****

Thanks! You are right. When I set it up, it looked awsome in real life, 3D. Dense, full of action - a capture of the chaos of the assault. But with the photos I just couldn't convey it into 2D. Anyway I'm happy you like the concept
