Unfortunately the reason that the design of these clone brands have reached "Moc-level" because a majority of them are just MOCs stolen from AOFLs. I think its still pretty rare that designers will willingly work with these companies as most of the time they get no credit or profit from these clone brick manufactures. I can only think of one manufacture that puts the effort into making their own designs (Sembo). Even if the brick quality manages to match real Lego, I don't think I could ever bring myself to support these companies because of how scummy they can be to the Lego community.

At more then twice the size of the previous MT-21 rover, the MT-125 is a more robust and capable rover that can be used in a variety of applications. It features a full pressurized cabin/airlock and can comfortably seat 3 astronauts. This particular rover is fitted with a lab so it can analyze samples and scout out future crystal deposits. It is unarmed, though it does have a cache of personal weapons for the crew just in-case they are ambushed in the field. I also have an album with more pics on my Flickr if anybody is interested! Build notes: So this is kind of a loose re-imagining of the Mars Mission set 7648: MT-21 Mobile Mining Unit in what I'm calling "Neo Mars Mission style", which is essentially a bit more realistic and has a greater focus on mining crystals then blasting aliens. I hope to remake more Mars Mission sets like this in the future. Also to note, a majority of the rover's suspension system has been adapted from the Official 21104 Curiosity rover set.

You forgot the final step: Spam it EVERYWHERE. If a website/page is frequented by AFOLs or people that might have a tiniest fraction of interest in the subject of your project you need to share it and ask for support at least every month! I don't mind seeing an Ideas project every now and then and if its really well done I'll take the time to support it, however the over saturation of project promotion everywhere online just low-key annoys me now.
-
Nope. I don't think your allowed to create new molds, but there has never been a rule against using older parts. Funny enough a good deal of successful ideas projects actually use depreciated parts unknowingly

They tried in 2015-16, but it flopped. Whats to say that it will be any different this time around? This may be a controversial opinion, but I think Bionicle should stay dead. No mater what TLG does, its almost impossible recapture the magic of the original because someone will always be unhappy with the final result. It's better to remember it for the awesome line of what it used to be rather then to try and resurrect its half rotted/rusted out corpse into a zombie theme/set thats more likely to be doomed to fail and will sour peoples impression of the brand. Ending on a more positive note, I don't see why the Bionicle Community isn't taking advantage of Ideas more. Like if you want to show Lego that you are a dedicated fan base who wants some more bionicle sets, start trying to get more projects to 10k! From a quick search there are quite a couple already there that look great but only have a couple 1000 supporters.

Its surprising that a russian folktale of all things was the first project to break 10k in under 24hr achievement. I would have put my money on some fad game with lots of rabid young supporters like Among Us or Fortnite to get the record insted. That being said, it is a relly nice and well done submision and is definitely deserving of the record. The minifigures especially are really well done as and i want to highlight the fact that the girl with the stick is looks like it's almost perfectly translated from this artwork made in 1902 based on one of the tales that I found on Wikipedia when looking more into about Baba Yaga. Appernetly Baba Yaga also eats children and the stories can get pretty dark. Both of these things unfortunately might have a negative impact on the project's chanaces of becoming a set .

I think its far more likely that we will get a larger shuttle rather then one in 1:110 scale with a full stack. Heres my reasoning: because its the shuttles anniversary and they have supposedly gone with the Columbia instead if any other orbiter, the only tasteful way to depict it in a lego set is to do the first mission. However there is a problem as the first two shuttles had a white external tank. The white ET tank is just not as recognizable as the classic orange that most people associate with the shuttle. This could put sales at risk because there is less of a draw form casual space fans. If they go with the classic orange, what point is there keeping the orbiter as Columbia in the set as it carries a lot of baggage from its unfortunate demise. Of course another option for the set would be to just drop the tanks and SRBs entirely from the model and focus on the shuttle. At that price range I can see a big detailed model similar to the UCS A wing or Batwing, though I dont think it would be as large as minifigure scale becuse space craft can get quite big.( Just look up how the lunar module compares to a shuttle to get a good impression of the size)- 310 replies

I came up with the idea for this build after coming across one of these big ugly motorcycle pieces while looking for parts for another MOC. I originally figured it would work great as part of a sci-fi hoverbike, however, it ended up morphing into a cyber-punk unicycle, which I think is way cooler. Also, I figured it was a great excuse to pull out some good old Space Police 3 sets to chase after it! Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to balance on its own so it needs the help of a small stand coming out the back (I've photoshopped it out for most shots) to support itself upright. Here's a flicker album with a couple more shots as well! https://www.flickr.com/photos/muscovitesandwich/albums/72157717997895478/with/50863713218/

Not necessarily, 3 of them have been submitted by the user "Lego the Office" in 2015, 2019 , and 2020. One has been submitted by the user with a very similar name of "theoffice_lego" in 2018 that looks like its based on the original 2015 project. One has been submitted by the user "Bricktory Lap" in 2020. Finally there is one that was just submitted by "BrickMeisterZ" at the end of 2020. There are others as well, however these 6 projects all seem to share the same DNA with how the model is laid out.
-
Supported! This is probably one of the best Office projects I've seen so far on IDEAS. Most of the other ones I've seen feel like copy and pastes of each other and so its nice to see fresh take on the idea. You did a great job of balancing the details from the show while keeping it at a reasonable size. It would defiantly make a great display piece!

Yeah I recently reactivated my old eurobricks account just for that! Also I feel like I should clarify that only really the main Lego subreddits (r/lego and probably r/legostarwars ) are bad. There are a lot of smaller theme specific Lego subreddits that are way better and more MOC-friendly which Is pretty much only place on reddit that I post to now.
-
r/Lego is pretty much a AFOL circlejerk at this point. From my experience, it doesn't matter how good your MOC is but if you post it at the wrong time, it will just be ignored in favor of the 1000th idiot holding a UCS Millennium Falcon box.
-
Is this a Boat or starship? Does it go to space? Its actually a decent MOC but this one detail is just confusing and adds nothing to the model. I recompensed changing it to a standard marine engine or adding some sci-fi details like engines, wings, fins, or landing gear to make the hyperdrive make sense.
-
Agreed, though that might be hard to police because what classifies as "Timeless"? I think they should implement some type of throttling for new project submissions so if something new suddenly becomes popular there wont be a flood of a bunch of the same thing. Looking at "Among us" there are whooping 35 different project submissions that are pretty much the same three things: the full game map, a section of the map/lobby, or the characters. After a point it just becomes redundant. Another example is Jaws, where there is 10 versions of the same boat + shark. It pretty much becomes a race to see who is better at marketing their project

I'm actually kind of hoping for the garbage truck. The last city garbage truck came out in 2016, so there's not that much overlap with existing City sets and the mechanism is quite clever. Plus it would be nice to get some smaller more affordable Ideas sets again as the last sub $50 USD set (Tron) came out in 2018. Wallace and Gromit could be another strong contender IMO. I say any big building this round has a lower chance since the Blacksmith and Home Alone house are coming out soon and I would imagine the ideas team would want to add a bit more variety. Also, I don't think any "Among Us" project has much of a chance either. It's a fad game and by the time it gets approved and on store shelves, people will most likely have moved on to something else. Lol. Imagine what would happen if they approved the other Avatar instead

I think that was one of my first sets when I was little. Honestly as a kid, that baseplate was amazing and I remember using it in for a ton of my creations. Though now, it looks like it has aged as well as glass of milk. Also a fun fact about the baseplate is that none of the studs have "lego" printed on them so it's weird to see an official part with smooth studs.

List of models of rockets, spacecrafts and probes

Just use "MuscoviteSandwich" so it's consistent with my Flickr and Rebrickable. Once I hit Vassal I'm changing Black-Brick to MuscoviteSandwich as well. -

Hey, thanks for including my models and taking the time to compile this whole list! (I'm MuscoviteSandwich BTW, I still need to get my level up to ask for a name change since I made this EB account years ago but forgot about it) Just a couple of suggestions for improvements concerning my mocs: The notes and photo for my midi Saturn V are wrong. I think the notes are miscopied from another entry since I've released only one version. The photo looks like it's just the reference drawing that I always include on my instruction covers. You are totally welcome to take photos from my Flickr as well and I would recommend one of the pictures like this one that shows the midi one next to the official one. Also, after looking at all the other mini Sat V models, I decided to rename it the "Midi Saturn V" (as opposed to "mini") to better reflect its slightly larger size.\ The "Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity/Spirit" and "Opportunity Rover" are the same model. I posted the "Opportunity model" with some hastily made instructions on Reddit first (smazmats is my Reddit username) and Improved everything at a later date. I would recommend removing "Opportunity Rover" since its just an early draft of the improved one and to avoid confusion. -
I decided to try recreating one of the most memorable shots from the series finale of Game of Thrones with Daenerys Targaryen and her dragon flying behind her in brick form. All the elements In this were built then photographed as a single piece and then I added all the coloration adjustments and effects with Photoshop. Here is a link to a Flickr album with some extra images like a comparison shot and the unphotoshoped version as well! Also, I'm not sure if it is really a spoiler, but I've included a link to the referenced scene in the spoiler box below just to safe.

Test V2 Rocket by Muscovite Sandwich, on Flickr. Also is there a way to change usernames? I would like to make mine coherent with all my other usernames since I made this account a long time ago but never got around to using it. -
Hello! My name is Mika and I'm from the USA. I mostly make Saturn V scaled rockets as well as some sci-fi stuff on the side. I've been a long time lurker here (I got really into the andromeda's gates storyline a bit back and still have some M.A.N.T.I.S. and Octan stuff hanging around but never had the time to post it). While technically I made this account almost ten years ago with the intention of doing pirate stuff which is actually how I discovered EB, I totally forgot about it until now. Also Is it possible to change my outdated username? I would like to make it consistent with my Flickr name "MuscoviteSandwich".
