  1. Wow, this really was a great MOC, I have never seen this before. A technique you might use is the Lowell sphere. EDIT: 1000th post!
  2. Isn't this conversation getting just a bit off topic? Hopefully the Sonic Raider is only $90 or so, but knowing TLG, it'll be about $120-140.
  3. Looks great. Hopefully nothing annoying will happen.....
  4. Well, that seems to be a decent amount of new molds for one wave, though I would still love to see Anduril in ABS!
  5. Now this is very nice! I love the new Rocka, I might have to try something like that with my second one....
  6. That is a very nice-looking racer! The colorscheme works particularly well in this ship, I really love the subtle hints of sand green amidst the gray, it makes it look like something that could be real. Now the only thing missing is a sponsor.
  7. This looks great, but I do think the upper legs and lower torso pieces should have some kind of armor. The MOC itself, overall, looks great though. I really love the use of red bone pieces to further separate Splitface's two sides.
  8. It is only PG-13, and TLG has made Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Batman, and the Avengers, all of which have material rated PG-13.
  9. Why would I have hard feelings against the great QM who hosted my first Quest? I can't wait to be on another Quest. Maybe, finally, Dak can get some Reputation with someone or some group in a position of power.
  10. The Rogue Shadow set (Which I assume is where you got the female officer torso) has one. I do like this MOC, the shaping here is very nice, although I agree that everything looks better tiled.
  11. Oh god. I'm not really sure I want to know. But, I'm posting here, so that means I have to know! Well, let's see, I bought 10 $11 dollar sets, 6 $20, 6 $30, 4 $40, 7 $50, and about 7 over that price range, so (Drumroll), my grand total is: About $1,300. Not quite as large as some of the figures in this thread, but still large nonetheless. Unfortunately, that will just skyrocket this year with LotR, Dino, and Superheroes adding onto Ninjago, HF, and SW.
  12. It's a little bit better this season, since there haven't been any and it doesn't look like there will be. But I'm really starting to get sick of Jar-Jar, 3PO, and pointless Grievous fights at this point. If they put a new Commando squad into the storyline, it might get a bit better. As it is, I was put to the limits of my patience by the Slavers arc.
  13. The second option, then.
  14. I totally agree. Down with the Senate Wars, up with the Clone Wars!
  15. Deadpool in the Wolverine Chopper? Nice, didn't expect a minifig of him. No pictures is really getting frustrating.
  16. I don't especially think that Friends is too 'girly' at all, the sets actually don't have that much pink in them. A lot of these arguments are based on the minidolls, yes, but I prefer to look at the actual set rather than just buy for the figures. The sets' colorschemes actually focus more on azure and red rather than pink, and both of those colors are generally considered gender-neutral. The builds themselves might focus a bit more on what girls want (Animal shelters, talent shows, etc.), but I really don't think that anything in the theme is too overly girly. But, since most of these arguments are based, as I said, on the minidolls, I have to look at those too. Generally speaking, I don't think that they really are any more girly than a normal doll or action figure, but they are less poseable, just like LEGO minifigs. The one thing that really bugs me, though, is the same thing as what makes me not like Barbie: The lack of male characters of any importance. The only male character comes in the largest set, and that, I think, is what is making so many people think that this theme is far too girly. If they would introduce one male character that looks the age of the main characters and put him in some smaller sets, I think a lot of this "controversy" would disappear.
  17. See? I know what I'm talking about. Most of the time.
  18. Guess I'll throw some out there: 1. Santa Suit Guy 2. Discus Thrower 3. Faun 4. Female Genie 5. Female Elf 6. Male Olympic Swimmer 7. Wolfman 8. Good Knight 9. Mother 10. Goldilocks 11. Medusa 12. Hobbit 13. Footsoldier (From the same time period as the Knights) 14. Astronaut 15. Blue Alien 16. Dog Suit Guy
  19. I think it is probably bad wording on neville longbottem's part, and what he meant to say is that the a TMNT theme is possible because of the popularity of the show, but the chances are slim.
  20. In the style of the BD Pilot and BD Security Officer of 2011, I mean. The old BD Commanders simply had a) Yellow printing on tan. b) No printing at all. Hopefully, the Malevolence BD Commander will be in the style of the 2011 OOM-series droids and have tan printing on yellow, but not be like the 2012 OOM-series Security droid and have no printing at all.
  21. Dak walked down the alleyway, the chosen Heroes sheet in his hand. He noticed that he had been marked down Acting Party Leader, and wondered what that meant. "Present." OOC: My stats are fine.
  22. Battle Droid Commander? Finally! Too bad it is in the largest set of the wave, though. Not really suitable for army-building.
  23. Nice interview, though you gave KimT the wrong legs! His avie clearly has Dark Bley legs, yet you chose to give him Dark Grey! What is your reasoning, might I ask? Was it simply a misunderstanding, or is there something more sinister at work here? ... ... ... A question: Do you sit down with the people you're interviewing in real life, or is the interview done via PM or some other private means?
