LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Anyone else notice that there’s been a lack of Tanks this year? I know we have the Skiff and Barc Speeder but those are more speeders than tanks. The only tank that’s been made this year is the Octuparra from the BP. -

Tbf, Dreamzzz and Ninjago don’t have any licensing costs weighing them down. Unlike Star Wars. We’re not out of the woods just yet. There’s still a chance that Lego decides to cheap out. With every set that gets revealed, the more and more certain I am that the ISD is the absolute banger of this summer wave. I don’t like the Grey Slab of Peridia. The figures are great though. The Night-trooper makes me happy as it means I don’t have to see people rant about a bad Enoch. (Also the Night-Trooper being in a set as cheap as this reduces the chances of them getting a Battlepack. Imperial Remnant (with stormtroopers) or Army Trooper BP next year please!! The Sarlaac Pit looks good. But just not for me. The lack of Boba’s cape and Weequay is a travesty. But I’m not too bothered about the Boba reuse (is it really a difference that kids would have noticed?) Let’s have a look on what leakers have got wrong this year Star Destroyer being a Death Star Play-set Evil Chewie in Dark Falcon Enoch Luke having a new hairpiece in Skiff Weequay in Skiff Star Destroyer/ Death Star having 12 figures Anything else? Help us Jedi Bob’s Starfighter, you’re our only hope. -

There had better be an Imperial Bunker set and stormtrooper Battlepack to go with it if it’s true. -

Guys, guys. Stop arguing. We seem to be forgetting the best Star Wars continuity. Reject Legends and Canon. Accept the Lego continuity. Jek 14 and Jedi Bob are in that continuity so it’s definitely the best. 😜 Anyway, do you guys think that we’ll get a larger January Wave in 2025? Or will it be minuscule like this year? -

Well yes… Gideon is dead, “from a certain point of view.” But may I point out that Gideon in Mando season 3 didn’t have a moustache unlike he did in season 2. And you know who else didn’t have a moustache? The Gideon Clones. My theory is that Gideon is alive, well and still sporting a fine moustache. It was merely a clone that died in the explosion. Thus setting up the Mando and Grogu movie to focus on a power struggle between Gideon and Thrawn for control of the Imperial Remnant. Gideon will ultimately lose, go into hiding on Koboh and will set up a restaurant called Los Rawkas Hermanos. He will then get involved in the Spice Trade. Huzzah! A man of culture. The Imperial with the Impeccable Moustache is the best Captain in the Empire. Easily one of the top 3 most compelling Imperial characters there are. I wouldn’t be so sure of yourself. The Aslume comes for us all in the end. You are merely delaying the inevitable. As for Legends sets, they should absolutely happen. Whether it be a Tie Defender with Warlord Zsinj here, a AT PT with Mara Jade there or even a Republic attack Shuttle with Delta Squad over yonder. Those are the sorts of things which would make the Kids think: “Oh wow, what a cool version of a vehicle I’ve seen before. And those unrecognisable characters look awesome!” -

Heresy of the highest order!!!! You’re either with us or against us. Don’t make me your enemy. Never mind, “It’s treason then.” You have already become a heretic of lesser extent. “I will do what I must.” Begone to the DC Discussion thread with you heretics! Where such blatant heresy belongs. You are followers of the Turtle now!!! Uj/ I’m joking of course. You’re allowed to have your own opinions. Even if they’re wrong. Mara Jade!!! Mara Jade!!! Mara Jade!!! -

Reporting for duty. Let’s deal with this heretic uprising. For the Glory of Mara Jade!!!! Deus Vult!!!! Tie Defender and Tie Crawler are technically Legends sets. Is that heresy I smell?!!! Heretic!!! Also you seem to be forgetting that Luke was attracted to Leia in the OT. Before the reveal that is. Heresy!!! Heresy!!! -
Live Action Movies: Superman, Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow, The Batman Part 2, Joker 2, The Brave and The Bold, Swamp Thing, Teen Titans and The Authority. Live Action TV shows: Lanterns, Peacemaker season 2, Booster Gold, Waller and an unnamed Arkham Series. Animated Movies: Jurassic League. Animated TV shows: Caped Crusader, Beast Boy, Kiteman, another season of Harley Quinn and Creature Commandos. (Young Justice season 5 hasn’t been confirmed yet.) I believe that’s about it. Please do correct me if I missed anything.

Wait seriously?! Please do post that on the DC Thread. Or the DC wish lists thread. I would love to see it. If @Mandalorianknight is a priest of this honourable religion, then that means that I’m a Paladin of the church of Mara Jade. As in I am willing to DIVINE SMITE the megablocks out of those who dare commit heresy against our beloved Mara Jade. (And I’ve only read her in the Heir to The Empire Trilogy, so that tells you how likeable she is as a character.) I’m also open to Mara Jade reading recommendations over the summer. I’m currently planning on reading the canon Thrawn Trilogy. Mara Jade!!!! Mara Jade!!!! Mara Jade!!!! Mara Jade!!!! Mara Jade!!! (Is this the Church of Mara Jade’s Hymn? Or are we stupid?) Now, ¿Dónde está Peridia? -

My Lucas. Why the Jar Jar is L0-LA that Kriffing large. A printed tile would have been better. The set itself looks fun. But just not for me. -
Bang! Crash! Kapow! There you go. You’ve got some onomatopoeias. I’ve realised a terrible truth. The most diverse in non-Batman characters wave that Lego has ever made for DC was DC Superhero Girls. We got: Wonder Woman, Katana, Bumblebee, Barry Allen, Krypto, Eclipso and Steve Trevor as well as other characters in one wave. Why?! Why Did they make tonnes of sets for DC Superhero girls but not Teen Titans?!

@legoturtle, I’m sorry to inform you that there appears to be some sort of Magic Spirit featured in the Caped Crusader trailer. So my condolences for the loss of your desired *realism.* Anyway, the plot synopsis for Lanterns has been revealed. “The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland, I’m a bit concerned about this for a few reasons: 1) If John’s going to be a new recruit and Hal’s going to be older it might mean that Hal might become Parallax in the season finale, and John once again steals Kyle’s storyline. 2) Tom King is on the writers team, he can either be excellent with GL like with Hal’s Darkseid War one shot, or terrible like the time where he made Hal say he doesn’t know what will is. 3) The show takes place on Earth, Green Lantern is primarily a cosmic hero, so why the Kriff are they not using space where the best parts of GL lore are. At the end of the day, I’m sure I’m just nitpicking. And I’m just happy to be getting GL content.

This one hurts too much. I notice you’re becoming more and more insane with each day that passes. Can’t wait for the 30th LSW Anniversary Larfleeze Figure. It should have been Mara Jade!!!! I will hold a grudge against Lego until the day I die for choosing the most boring possible variant of a character we already have instead of Mara. Mara Jade!!!! Mara Jade!!! Mara Jade!!! -

The buildable C3 P0 leaked. Damn, it actually looks pretty good. Better than last year’s Chewie. But that’s not hard. Looks good, but just not for me so I will not be buying it. -
That’s just a cover of GL: Earth One. Gunn used it in his slate presentation video last year. It’s not concept. Where is Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl?! We’ve now got images of Lois Lane. And they actually went with the Purple shirt!! The Actress looks perfect for a comic accurate Lois. Gunn definitely cooked with the casting.

I feel like, out of companies I know, Lego has the weirdest and most unorganised reveal schedule. Why can’t they actually reveal the Summer Wave! The Anniversary sets aren’t spoilers so i’m not sure what they’re waiting for if the most Spoilery sets have already been revealed. -
I’m feeling like a peasant now. Tbh I only have about 5 DC sets in total. + a few CMF characters. My measly Justice League is made up of Batman, TLBM Commissioner Gordon, GL (Simon Baz), Shazam, Metamorpho and Green Arrow. My Villains are: TLBM Mr Freeze, Joker, TLBM Penguin, Harley Quinn and Deadshot. This is why I want a cheap Superman set next year. With Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, Superman, Lex and maybe Supergirl.

HD pics of the Dark Falcon and Tie X-Wing mashup have dropped. It looks like that in this alternate universe Holochess is a videogame, not a board game. There are also 2 beds in the falcon. And indeed there is a throne and a prison cell. -

“Oh it’s beautiful.” - Director Osrson Krennic Superman looks perfect. We won lads!! He has vibrant red trunks. The Snyder-bros lost. Mister Terrific looks good as well. Though I’m not too bothered about him. Now. Where is Guy Gardner?! He better have his classic white belt. And large GL symbol on the side. (However, this might be a hot-take but I think that Guy’s outfit in Injustice was peak so I wouldn’t mind that. Anyone else?)

Apparently, according to brick clicker, Jedi Bob’s starfighter will have an inverted pattern to obi-wan’s. As in predominantly white with red accents. This is old news but I don’t remember anyone on here talking about it. -
As @THELEGOBATMAN has already stated, most of us do already. In fact for me personally DC is a secondary theme whilst Star Wars is my priority. If you are unsatisfied with DC Superheroes currently I would recommend you go to Star Wars. As, unlike DC Superheroes, it is an alive and thriving theme. It also has something for all types of fans of the franchise (except for sequel fans. I’m sure that the dozens of them are upset about that)
