Not a fan of Snyder tbh. I think that he did a phenomenal job on Wonder Woman and Watchmen. Not much else. I also find it ironic that one of the films that the Snyder-bros praise the most (Not DC I know) Is Dawn of The Dead. Which was written by James Gunn. The man that many of those people hate for being the new writer for DC movies. @Lego Nostalgia I do agree that Henry Cavill was mistreated by WB. I also despise them for keeping Ezra Miller on board.

What’s most likely to be the next battlepack? I’m worried that Lego’s going to make another clone one. Hopefully it’s something with amassable units (So no specific Clone Legion or faction’s special forces). Preferably imperial or rebel tbh. Or both.

Agreed. I don’t see how any of the Jedi will be allowed to survive the Sith Lord. RIP Jecki, Sol and Yord. They were decent characters.

I wouldn’t trust what Lifebricks has to say. He’s essentially Mandr but dialled to 11. He’s not got any rumours under his belt that turned out to be real. Though it could explain why Jar Jar supposedly was going to have blue armour. It was the Mon Cal all along.

I only need the DCU to deliver on Superman, Lanterns and Brave and The Bold. I will be content if they are able to do those decently. It’s about time GL became a household name in Superhero Movies, they deserve it. (More than Aquaman) Imagine if Lego refuses to make sets for Superman in 2025 but the film turns out to be a huge box office success. They’d probably have a melt down over there. Trying to use Superman to promote the Batman sets.

I feel like either the DS Trooper or Crewman from the ISD could show up in a magazine. Maybe a Praetorian Guard. And then maybe Lando from the Skiff. (I don’t think they’ve made a magazine with Lando yet.) We should be getting 1HY 2025 set numbers and prices soon, correct? I can’t wait for us to go rampant on some detective work (with a dash of speculation). Anyone else?

I just don’t like the look of the Droid factory set. (Though I feel like Lego’s trolling the TCW fans with that name, hilarious.) X-Wing and Tie have good builds but mediocre figures. Except for L3-G0. Now where is Jedi Bob?!!!

Fair enough. Though if it’s good writing you want, I’d highly recommend Rogue One and Andor. Andor specifically is phenomenally well written with some brilliant acting. (Andy Serkis, Fiona Shaw and Stellan Skarsgård.) At some points it stops feeling like Star Wars because of how grounded it gets. Not a single Jedi in sight in Andor. You’re going to crash the stock market?

Kyle Rayner, Donna Troy, Wally West, Mara Jade, Captain Pellaeon and Captain Keeli are the figures that I’d die for right now. MARA JADE!!! WHY DISNEY, WHY?! WE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN HER BY NOW IF YOU’D JUST LET HER STAY IN CANON!! MARA JADE!!!! And back to sanity. Are Lego done with the big Location sets after Yavin’s apparent failure? If so that’s a shame. I was rather hoping for an Endor bunker in that style. Or Mount Tantiss (Legends based so we can get Mara Jade) Why must the buildable character and mech sets live but the big playsets with a good amount of figures die out?!

Exactly. Just buy the sets that you actually want. Not all out of a sense of being a completionist. Just out of interest, what is your favourite Star Wars movie/ trilogy? I’ll happily give you some set recommendations if you’d like them. I hate to be that guy, but it’s spelt “Padawan” “It’s treason then.” I’m joking of course, you’re entitled to your own opinion. I respect you guys. But I’m more of a Tim-Cass (Sandsmark), Kon-Cass (Cain), Dick-Babs (better than Dick-Fire) and Trayner kinda guy. And while on the subject, Spider-Man x Black Cat is the best move for Peter if he isn’t allowed to have MJ back. (All my homies hate Paul) No one can match the power of Morb Adam. But once again, Gregor will just survive and surprise attack Tarre. If there’s one thing a Clone Commando would be the most effective at compared to other clones… it’s killing Mandalorian Jedi.

May I additionally suggest Mara Jade? Or maybe even Mara Jade? Is Mara Jade our equivalent of the DC thread’s Luigi’s Pizzeria? Are we stupid? Anyway… Legends fans are eating better than usual this year. (No Mara Jade though 🥲) So I suppose that we should be thankful. Hopefully we get some more Legends inspired sets in the near future (Tie Crawler and Republic Commando shuttle please)

Oh no, don’t get me wrong, I love all those characters. I was just bringing Turtle’s attention to how flawed his argument is. As seeing that most of those could blatantly be called “Woke.” I do no such thing, they are all good characters. (New 52 Batwoman run and Wayne Family Adventures are peak fiction) First of all. I will take on no such task. As that would mean that I’m intentionally looking for flaws in one of my favourite DC characters. I will perform no such treachery. Secondly, come at me nerf-herder! This is my champion. You can blow me up in a borderline nuclear explosion, you can shoot me in the head without my helmet, you can maroon me on a desert planet to rot. But I’ll kriffing survive somehow and come back to take names and kick your megablocks. Don’t make me call up the almighty Meebur Gascon to divine smite you.

The scalpers got their hands on most of the BD-1 figures after the ISD pics dropped. The prices have turned astronomical. That’s why I’m thankful that a friend of mine traded me his blue BD unit. (He hadn’t played the games) It will suffice as it is a skin in the game. I’m also thankful that I already have 2015 Endor Leia’s poncho. Cal, when I get him, will feel more complete (well, one of his possible customisation options at least)

But yes a Clone Commando probably couldn’t kill a dog because he would be subdued by their cuteness and also because the Dog is too powerful. I took a look. And geez. Turtle started his villain arc far before I realised. @legoturtle I bring to your attention to: Jace Fox Batman, Signal, Bluebird, Batwoman, Tim Drake, Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown. All are what you probably perceive as “woke” members of the Batfamily. Yet where are half of them in sets? Your argument is flawed. That’s not even accounting for wider DC characters. Jo Mullein, Jon Kent, Yara Flor, John Stewart, Cyborg, Jessica Cruz, Vixen, Kaldur… the list goes on and on. Lego just doesn’t care as much about DC as Marvel. I feel like the reuse of only one figure in the Batman mech whilst the venom mech had two reused figures clarified that. Deal with it. It’s time you faced the truth.
