LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
CloneCommando99 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
With the knowledge of the death trooper helmet coming back into production, I’m sure Lego will want to capitalise on it. Therefore I feel that Death Troopers will show up in one of the Andor Season 2 sets. I am eagerly praying for a Tie Reaper. But a Tie Avenger would be great as well. -
Animated Movie: Arthur Christmas (highly recommend watching it, my favourite iteration of Santa’s elves) Live Action Movie: Either Home Alone or Love Actually. Song: Jingle Bell Rock I third this. Back when I was doing my GCSEs, a factor in why Truman authorised the use a second nuke on Nagasaki was not only to make the Japanese surrender faster. It was a message to Stalin that the US didn’t just have one bomb, they had an arsenal. And they weren’t afraid to use it if the USSR overstepped their claim. Aslume 2: Electric Boogaloo

I like the empire because of aesthetics. I also think of them as more akin to the Romans than the Nazis (though they almost do certainly have lots of Nazi aspects). Mostly because of the emphasis on conscription and garrisons. Damn it. Now I want a Jo Jo Rabbit type Star Wars movie with a stormtrooper cadet going through the academy accompanied by his imaginary but whimsical version of palpatine.

Counterpoint: the Republic are the side in the Clone Wars that have Anakin, R2D2, Saw Gerrera and Chopper. Empire? Separatists? Republic? Don’t make me laugh. If you need me, I’ll be taking the 7th Fleet to the glorious Chiss Ascendancy. (Thrawn, Pellaeon, Vanto and Faro be fighting the good fight (almost))

Yeah. If anything the CG gunship is the most minifigure scale one we’ve gotten IMO. At least it is as far as the troop bay is concerned. -

£59.99. Wait a couple of months. It’ll go down to £50-45. Same. Around mid February is around where we usually get news. I’m intrigued about the P1 Clone Pilot and 2nd Andor sets and hope for a Endor Bunker. ARC-170 looks very good. Albeit a bit overpriced, just not as horrendously as Ahsoka’s Interceptor. I think I’ll wait for the May 4th discounts for this one. -

The new book nook sub theme would actually work really well for Duel of The Fates and a ISD bridge IMO. -

Don’t you worry. If they’re bringing back the death trooper helmet mould, it probably means that Dedra will get some normal DT guards. Unless the 2 stormtroopers in the U-Wing turns out to be true. Then normal DTs would lend themselves into being in the other Andor set. Which also potentially suggests a new Krennic Minifig? -

ISD Bridge. With as many differently ranked officers and personnel as possible. (Ideally I’d have it from a bunch of mediums: Grand Admiral Sloane/ Thrawn, Admiral Versio/ Ozzel, Captain Pellaeon/ Needa, Lieutenant Hammerly/ Lyste, Governor Adelhard/ Pryce, a stormtrooper or two and as many crewmen as possible.) “200,000 units are at the ready with a million more well on the way” (£49.99): Lama Su, Obi Wan, Nala Se and 200,000 units of clone troopers. -

I can think of a few. Captain Enoch, Kit Fisto, Mara Jade, Commander Wolffe, Dedra Meero, Mara Jade, Captain Keeli, Prune-face, Glup Shitto, Jesse, Doctor Aphra, Commander Bacara, Mara Jade, Captain Pellaeon, Director Krennic, Grand Moff Tarkin, any and all unmade clone troopers, Imperial Jump Troopers, Mara Jade, Warlord Zsinj, Jacen Solo, Jains Solo, Commander Pyre, ET, Black Krissantan and maybe even Mara Jade? -
Not a hot take imo. WW1 is a case study in the flaws of capitalism, autocratic regimes and having a lack of foresight (well at least the Treaty of Versailles is) Speaking of the aftermath of WW1 I’d like to point out my own hot take. Aftermath of WW1 America: “We won the war lads. You’re going to need to make a League of Nations to prevent this from happening again.” Britain and France: “That sounds like a great idea! You’re going to be joining right? You’re the only superpower left that still has the resources and economy to make this work and provide the league with a strong backbone to prevent any international debacles.” America: “yeah… about that” *America leaves chat* Britain and France with their already shot economies: “oh well, what’s the worst that could happen?” Manchuria Crisis, Munich Pustch, Mussolini, Spanish Flu, Spanish Civil War, rise of Soviet Union, Vilna, Abyssinia Crisis, Remilitarisation of the Rhineland…: “allow us to introduce ourselves.” *America briefly rejoins the chat, introduces Wall Street Crash and subsequent Great Depression in 1929 and leaves again* Hitler now able to capitalise on a economically desperate Germany (with a proportional representation system no less): “it’s free real estate” Britain and France: gulp I love a good historical discussion. Next can we talk about how Charles I absolutely had it coming?

Could the clone pilot set be a republic attack shuttle? -
I found it whilst I was raiding the archives of the ministry of silly walks. A forbidden incantation of the dark arts used by an ancient order of knights. These knights were feared by even King Arthur himself and the rest of the round table. I have only one thing to say. To you who worship the sinister forces of blacktron. Ni
