That mystery torso is so familiar to me. It reminds me of how Ron dresses in the later films, but I can't quite place it. It kind of makes me think of Stranger Things as well. I'm actually kind of glad to get a Moaning Myrtle in this color scheme. I like the CMF version, but it's a little too blue to me. Neville's sweater is a bit meh to me, I think I might like the older version better, but maybe it'll grow on me. Getting another Tonks so soon is interesting, but I'm happy to have the variation. I'm a little surprised it took so long to get a decent version of her. -

I believe it's Marie from the Aristocats. -
They made sets for Multiverse of Madness, which is graphic in most of the same ways, I would even argue it's more graphic than Stranger Things.
-
I don't foresee an issue, they would just release it in the adult line of sets. And they wouldn't adapt a gory moment into a set anyhow. Lego just released Brickheadz and keychains for the franchise, if they had a problem with the show they'd have surely cut ties by now.

I really hope they make more sets. Stranger Things 4 is pretty amazing. I'd love to get Creel house in Lego form (and Starcourt Mall and the Lab). A CMF would be great too. There's just so much set potential here. Given that the theme made a slight return this year gives me some hope they have something else planned.

I'm a little disappointed they didn't make a new hair mold for Lady Tremaine. They get so close with these designs, but never quite stick the landing. Oh well. I think Cinderella's Castle looks okay, I like the new roof piece with the windows. The Frozen set is pretty lackluster, seems like they phoned that one in. -
I would have preferred Peach as a brick built character, but I'm still okay with what they went with. I like the castle, I just wish it were more complete. The price is too much for me though, I'll probably wait for a sale.

I believe those are two different sweaters, just similar looking. In POA it was a hoodie with similar colored lines (with black lines running through the colored lines). -

I was hoping to see a new raptor in the scale as the current Dilophosaurus, but I'm surprised it happened in a lineup that includes the old larger version. So strange. Regardless, I'm very happy to finally have a raptor more in scale with minifigures. -

I really love the T-Rex design. Makes me wish we got more brickbuilt dinos. I'm really happy to finally get the vehicles. It took way too long. It is odd that they didn't give Lex mid legs. It's also strange that both Lex and Tim's shirt designs under the mud don't actually match the previous versions. Makes me wonder if that means we'll get a new 'clean' version of the characters. -
What a shock. The obviously fake thing was fake. Gasp.

Just wanted to drop this here. It's Count Olaf's house from the Netflix show 'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events'. You can support it here if you like: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/5e6b823d-2b8e-4e1b-aaed-556083d59341 -
I didn't see anything in the lawsuit about shutting his mouth (but i could have missed that), but they did offer the set. If I had to guess, they probably rescinded the offer because it might look like an admission of guilt. In general, I think Lego is in the right in this case. Netflix was responsible for clearing the clothing used in the show and didn't get permission to use it in the show, so I don't see how that's Legos fault. Also, I think the claim of ip infringement is pretty weak. Most of the items on the jacket are different on the minifigure, just in the same relative position. Really the only unique design transferred from the jacket is half a modified Ying Yang symbol. So I don't see this guy winning this lawsuit.

Lego does plenty of market research. If they felt that it wouldn't make for a viable set, it wouldn't exist. Clearly the designer was backed by Lego. And it makes sense that it got made considering the large push from Lego to put out adult only sets. They're testing the waters to expand their potential customer base. As for the lawsuit, I can't say I'm overly concerned. This situation is hardly unique. They'll either pay out a licensing fee for the designs or they'll try to fight it. Considering that the design in the set is Legofied, there's a chance the lawsuit won't get very far.

So weird, they're already using Mei's torso in another set (the galactic mission set that just leaked). -

Oh wow, didn't even notice that in the pictures. That's surprising to see introduced in a Friends set. Pretty cool.- 136 replies

Percy turned out pretty good. I'm happy to see them filling out the roster with new characters they've never done before. I can't say I mind him being released in a book either. Due to his lack of screen presence/importance, they'd probably have just made him out of recycled pieces if he were featured in a set. I'm also relieved they didn't take up a space in a CMF with him.
-
In fairness they do pretty much gloss over it in the movie.
-
With clearer pictures out it sort of looks like the Time Turner is a gold ring on a gold stud. It's still hard to tell though. Kinda looks like they might be using CMF Hermione's face print.
-
I think everyone is focusing way too much on the clock. This set is the hospital wing first and foremost. The clock is only included as a play feature to turn back time when Hermione uses the Time Turner (though it also looks like it can be used to recreate the scene where Harry stares through the glass). This is not meant to be a clocktower replacement. I mean it's literally one of the 6 buildable parts of this set, while 3 depict the infirmary and 2 the roof. And given the modular nature of the set you could just take the clock off and put it on the same level as the infirmary parts as in the movies it's depicted as being on the same level (visible down the hall when Dumbledore opens the doors even). So with one modification it's pretty much accurate to the films. I get that ultimately, these new Hogwarts sets look incomplete or inaccurate on the exterior, but I think the design idea with the new sets is to focus on the interiors. Which in fairness, the interiors in many of the old sets were pretty much afterthoughts in comparison to the well designed exterior. So I'm okay with getting sets that more faithfully recreate the inside since we already have the outside.

Pictures are out. The sets are better than I expected! Trellawney's design is even better than the CMF version. Pomfrey's new hairpiece is awesome too. It's too blurry to tell, but it looks like the time turner might be a separate piece. It's no longer printed on Hermione's torso.
-
That's from the clock tower set from a couple of years ago.
-
It's in one of the smaller sets too. If they focus on POA and GOF next year, it could be used in a Shrieking Shack set possibly (being that it's one of the few sets that hasn't been remade yet).

Not sure I get what the thought behind the design was. Was a special piece to store just the upper half of a minidoll seriously what the customers were clamoring for?
