  1. ... Ah... Damn I hate it when these things backfire... Wait, I meant: I knew exactly what it should be like from the start. I just wanted to see how you would react to it. Yes. That's right. You will regret this day when my dragons come for you...
  2. These are beautiful troops! Nice work with th paint job on the helmets, it looks clean and professional to me! The decals just make these awesome,I love seeing detail on the arms and legs where it is not normally seen. Very rarely do TLC do this, but it looks great when the do! Do you have any pictures of the backs, and are there any back decals?
  3. OK OK, take a breather mate, we need to clear the air. As the game moderator I will make this decision final. We shall go with Shadows idea in which you must know both the character and the username to vote. However this will not apply to night actions. If your not happy with this, then go play somewhere else, and may you be eaten by a dragon! Happy now? I won't change what I said in the other thread, as otherwise we will be going in circles. You two will just have to learn to agree and accept these rules. God, I sound like an Admin now (no offence meant Hinckley ), just get on with the game! EDIT: Oh yes, and I wouldn't go threatening my megablocks if I were you, your process of elimination and deductive reasoning doesn't stand a chance against the combined might of a whole family of dragons!
  4. Right, I've finally got round to making my next post. Sorry I haven't been posting as much as I would have liked, but I've been a bit busy with Mystery Castle. I still need to build a whole Grand Hall by next week! Right, this instalment has finally got around to answering Master Pent's letter, as well as giving some hints at Dragonator's past and some other secrets. I hope Lord Calvin gets back in time! Oh, and nice post Shadows, that was great! EDIT: Opps, I must have been typing when you made your edit. I hope you get that bit about the dragon stone. Basically the letter just explains to Master Pent what I said to Lord Calvin; that it is very precious to me, it has an enchantment, don't lose it, and please return it when finished! I'll be needing it at at later date (that's still quite a way off now though). The letter also sends my best regards and says to keep an ear out as there might be a special gathering sometime in the future... (that goes for you to Shadows ). I think Lord Calvin and has army should head back with the stone, it is to important to lose in an ambush, and you never know who will be waiting for you on your journey. (take that as a hint that you might be attacked randomly ). He could however leave one delegate behind if he so desires, just to keep in contact. It could be a soldier that you want to make a new character for, or maybe Karen or Lee. Or maybe not at all! Have a think about it.
  5. In which case I would just give them away for you. Actually, I do see where your coming from. In fact, I think that's exactly what I was trying to say to start with. This discussion has just become so confusing. You know, I like this idea better, lets just change back to that shall we and forget this whole conversation ever happened. Right so: You may vote for a player, but not a character unless you know which player that character is. Does that make sense? I hope so...
  6. M10 Dromindur; The Ravine That was some good fighting Calvin. Thanks Dragonator, it has been an honour fighting with you. Could you... come round the back please? Yeah sure. Dragonator led the confused Calvin round the back of the tavern into a secluded courtyard. He then went on to express his love for him and- Now hang on, that's just to far Staudie! Your fired! But I just wanted to have some fun... Not funny! I've only been in the job a few minutes... Next! M10 Dromindur; The Ravine That was some good fighting Calvin. Thanks Dragonator, it has been an honour fighting with you. I have something to give you concerning that letter. Oh yes, in the midst of the fighting I had almost forgotten about that and the treaty! Yes, well the treaty has been accepted by all the kingdoms, including Morcia I would say. But this is a different matter. Dragonator led Calvin inside, and from his pocket pulled out a small pouch. This is a dragon stone, one of five. They are a great secret to the world, and only a few people know of their existence. This is the Stone of Knowledge. I am giving it to you to take back to Master Pent, as he requested in your letter. I only do this because I know that without it your kingdom will surely fall. But this is a great risk on my part, and so I am trusting you not to lose it. If it were to fall into the wrong hands, then there is no talling what could happen. Hopefully it should help your kingdom, if it is not already to late. How can we ever repay you? For now, consider it a loan for your services in this most recent battle. But I will expect it back once you have finished with it. I have placed- It has an enchantment placed on it. If it is used in any way against dragons, or if the holder wishes it, then it will immediately return to me. However it must still be guarded as, even though no wizard could remove this enchantment, the beings you will be fighting could. Where are the other four, and what is so special about these? The other four are not here, but I know of their whereabouts. These stones contain great power; together, they could break the world if the wielder so desired. This is why it is so important that you do not lose this stone! How do you know all this Dragonator? Who are you? You could say that I am a 'keeper' of sorts. So does that mean that you are- Hush, do not say anything you would regret. I do not wish to reveal myself just yet. All in due time. Right. I will leave on my way at once to take this to Master Pent. Excellent. I will have a small letter ready for you to give to him... Dragonator sat down and quickly wrote out a short letter to master pent. As he sealed it, a small puff of smoke blew up from the seal. What was that? It basically means that if anyone except Master Pent opens it then it will immediately burst into flame, so no peeking. Oh... With that the pair went outside, and Lord Calvin went over to talk with his fellow companions. General Marcus approached Dragonator. What do you plan to do now my Lord? We have a kingdom to save. Let the troops know. Tomorrow, we march for the capital. *insert dramatic music etc*
  7. Right, a quick update to the rules everyone, mainly because some people are getting a little confused (yes that's you shadows, not me, not at all!) Please use the following formula when voting: Vote: <username> (<character>) There is no need to update your previous votes, but from now it should be done like that. This means that to vote for someone you must now both their username and character. Please not that this only applies to daytime voting; night actions only require a username. Now, get back to the game!
  8. Well... ah...hmmm...hey look, a flying Staudie! *runs away quickly* I'll just go put that in the other thread now shall I... Just so nobody gets confused, we wouldn't want that... Wait! No! Your wrong! Haha! HAHAHA!!! It should say Vote: <username> (<character>)!!!! AHAHAHA!!!!! Ahem.
  9. No no no no no no! You need to know which player is playing which character before you vote! Right, try this. There is a player on EB called Dragons-are-awesome. He is playing the character called Bob. Nobody know this. This means dragon-slayer, another character, cannot vote for him, as he does not know his character. Nor can Dragons-are-awesome vote for Ragnir, another character, as he does not know who is playing that character. For dragon-slayer to be able to vote for Dragons-are-awesome, he must first find out what character he is playing, or vice versa. Therefore when Dragons-are-awesome finds out that dragon-slayer is playing the character of Mark the dragonslayer, he can vote for him, but dragon-slayer cannot vote back. So basically, to vote for someone, you have to be able to say Vote: dragon-slayer (Mark the dragonslayer). You cannot just say Vote: dragon-slayer or Vote: Mark the dragonslayer, as you need to know who he is playing/who is playing the character. Get it? That is what I've been saying all along... I think... You know I'm just as cnfused as you are, but lets go with that shall we.
  10. (OOC: Now I'm confused. Think of it this way. The characters are not pawns of users, you are the character, just with a different name. Therefore as nobody can remember who anyone else is until they are found out, you must vote for a player, either because they are acting suspicious or because you know they're character and think them guilty due to evidence or something. The idea is that you can easily blame the deed on a character, but to condemn that character you must know who the player is. This discussion is becoming confusing, if you wish to argue it further, please do so by PM. ) Majiko decided to have a look for some food since Mike hadn't got him any yet. Cook! Where's the cook? I saw him around earlier. I want some breakfast! What with this whole commotion I didn't get anything! And I'm hungry!!
  11. Bignette is just a fancy way of saying any size you want. It could be a circle, a triangle, a dodecahedron... anything! As there is no size limit then you can have whatever you like hanging over the edges.
  12. People one and people all, the doctor approaches! Perhaps now he can answer your questions. (sdpirate has now confirmed, give him as much of a hard time as you like ) (OOC: Mr. Shadows, the idea is that if you vote for a character but don't know his username, then how are you going to convict him? Voting is to be done against the player, not the character. This way you do not need to know the player's character to vote for him, however if you want to vote for a character then you have to find out who he/she is played by. You may vote for a player based on evidence against their character, but not on a character without knowing the player. I bet I've confused you even more now. ) Current voting: stash2sixx (Mike): 2 sdpirate (Damien): 5 Audience: 1 Hinckley's face: 1
  13. Majiko decided to answer some questions. Ah, yes, that could serve a problem. Our friend Damien, who you wont know as sdpirate, is no longer playing for some reason. cannot be found anywhere in the keep. You may keep voting for him however, even though he isn't here. That is his punishment... Not going to happen laddie! The cellar keeper has spoken, though Damien has not. Can you see who it is?... Now now, be nice, those are my fans out there! (OOC: It is preferred if you can vote by username, however the character name will be accepted if the username is unknown. Of course, the person with that character name might at that point want to give themselves away in the interests of defending themselves.) Voting so far is as follows: Stash2sixx (Mike): 1 sdpirate [who isn't even playing...] (Damien): 2 Audience: 1
  14. Thanks for the review Batbrick, that is a nice set! I might even be tempted to get it, and I don't own a single other Batman set! Shock horror! Then again, I would like to get a set with your sigfig in it... I'm a little busy writing an English Exam right now, so I'll keep this short. The figures are nice, as are the vehicles, so this could be a set for me! I could use that Penguin suit... I like the little brick-built penguins, although Killer is much nicer, and cuddlier! I guess green is just better. Oh yes, and I'm glad it comes with two fedoras! Where are they exactly...
  15. At this Majiko started up again. What what what? Don't talk to me about no ailments, I ain't good at those. Why don't you have a chat with the doctor or Lady Suzanne, they could both give you something for your head Lord Savril. Although the doctor seems to be absent at the moment anyway... Majiko then turned to stash2sixx. Mike, get me a class of something strong will you, and a little muffin or something to tide me over to lunch. And ask chef what he's making, I'm dying to know!
  16. Batbrick, that is simply amazing! I love old temples! And I love this one! It looks exactly like your classic spooky temple of whatever, with all the gold and foliage and idols and hidden traps and gold and... *breath* ...gold and skulls and awesome rock sculptures and funny crystal dudes and... wow! The idol looks nice on its pedestal, and the rest of the interior looks very grand and templey (that's a new word by the way ). I love that dark tan baseplate! I need to get mine out of its box and start building! Your use of foliage is very nice, and a particularly good use of pieces for the vines, that is very creative, I would never have thought of it! (well done TheBrickster! ) The roof looks great with its tiered effect, and the little shrine at the top makes all the difference! Back to the bottom, the stairs look well built and the skeleton heads add a degree of spookiness to the MOC. The various bits of treasure that are scattered all over the place is also a nice touch; you have used this baseplate to it's maximum potential! The statues that are hanging down look great, as does the small bits of vine that add interest to the walls. I don't want to go on too long, so I'll just say again well done! This is an amazing piece of work and you should be proud! I am proud for you! Really just amazing! Now I need to go build something to match it. (I don't think I'm up to it, I mean look at that beast! It's just... wow!... ) EDIT: Although my one criticism is that there is an absence of dragons. All old temples need dragons!
  17. (OOC: For those of you interested, here are some quick pictures I took of all the characters: Hope that offers some insight. I won't tell you who's who... for now. ) Grim started up and looked at the crazy Hinckley person leaning over him. Stop bugging me! That's peer pressure you know, ganging up on a poor old wizard to answer your questions. Beware of those who try to mislead you, Stick by your instincts, Trust only your judgement, And yours alone. The doctor, pray tell, has not yet confirmed, so his absence is for obvious reason. Kill him if you like. He sat back down and was heard to mutter: Woman and their bloody herbs...
  18. I have both. The left version came in such sets as the divers line, in which we see the sharks swimming conveniently over green seaweed. I also have the right version, which as well as being seen in pirates and earlier sets, was also in the old Aquazone and Aquashark sets (not sure if those theme names are quite right, but you get the idea anyway ). So yes, it was definitely a mold change. What's wrong with your sharks, do you like chopping animals' heads off?
  19. (OOC: It is up to the players as to whether they wish to reveal who they are. To start with, nobody knows anyone else. However it is likely that as the game progresses your character will be discovered by another player, or it my be revealed some other way. It is for you to decide whether you want to let other people know who you are right from the start. There are obvious advantages and disadvantages to taking either option, so choose wisely people. Remember, people may know your character, but this does not mean they know your 'side' or 'role'.) Majiko was slowly drifting off into sleep in the corner, unnoticed by the other people...
  20. I've just got back from seeing Cats by Andrew Lloyd Webber. It was a very good production with some awesome choreography and inventive use of levels and staging. Although one persons mike didn't work during his duet, but he covered it very well. A great performance! Right now I'm working on an English exam that's due on Tuesday, and I've barely started! There's nothing like leaving things to the last minute! I blame EB, if it weren't for you, I'd have plenty of time to get things done. Instead I spend hours writing character descriptions and making up plots for this Mystery Castle game! Who's idea was that anyway? Oh right, mine...
  21. IMPORTANT: If you are not a participant in the game, then please do not post in the game. These threads are reserved for players only. It is now the morning after the kings death, and the people of the castle are assembled in the grand hall. Lord Dragonator (pictured below) is not at all happy. People of Dragons Keep, a terrible thing has occurred. Last night the king died under suspicious circumstances; I believe that there are traitors amongst us. It is up to you to discover who they are before it is too late. I will await your decision each day as to who you think should be executed. Nobody will leave the castle until either the traitors are caught and all killed, or until those of you who are loyal are defeated. Good luck to you all, and remember, trust nobody. Dragonator turned and ascended the grand stairs, leaving the people of the keep in the hall to begin their discussions. Also left in the hall was Majiko the Wizard. It appears that he knows what is going on, but will only occasionally help you, since he is crazy and all. It is up to you to solve the mystery and catch the traitors. The scene of the kings death is shown below: Please note that the fact he has a skull for a face is merely to show that he is dead. If you have any questions then feel free to send me a PM. The setting and rules for this game can be found in this thread. Please ensure that you have read them carefully and fully before you begin posting in the game. As a reminder the players and characters are as follows: Characters: (in no particular order) Lord Dragonator (non player) Majiko the Wizard (non player) Lord Martin Mike (a servant) Ernest the Chef General Marcus Michael (a soldier in the royal guard) Lord Savril Lord Ash Lord Gary Lady Suzanne Grim (head of the royal guard) General Spencer Mary (a maid) Paul (the cellar keeper) Daniel (a young squire) Rotrigous (kings advisor) Calvin (a local fisherman) Kyle (the castle torturer/executioner) Lieutenant Byron (of the royal guard) Friar Brown Damien (a doctor and herbalist) Fred (a soldier in the royal guard) Players: (in no particular order) 1. And if you don't post, I might just be forced to have a little fun... ( ) Good luck to you all, and may the best team win! EDIT: And remember, don't edit your posts. And stick to all the other rules. And... ah I'll shut up now and let you get on with it. *signal fades...*
  22. I'm sorry to hear that you've been hurt. Don't worry about it, nobody would target an injured man. Or would they... The game will start within the hour people. sdpirate still has not confirmed, so we will simply start without him. If he shows no interest in confirming by the end of the first day, then his role will be given to one of the many eager people wh really do want to be involved. As it is I've already had to send him a reminder via dragon-mail. Be on the look out for Mystery Castle - Day 1 *dramatic music is again heard in the backround, then cut off violently with excessive squawking* Trust Aluvar to ruin my moment. I'll be back soon.
  23. Excellent! Now we only await sdpirate...
  24. You know I couldn't have put it better myself. Thanks for confirming guys, we are now just waiting on sdpirate and AgentRick57. Guys, if you don't confirm then I'll assume your not playing and give your roles to two other people who do want to play, so please confirm ASAP!
  25. That is quite a big difference for it to be a moulding error. It looks more like a new piece. The new bit is exactly the same width as the normal nose piece, and it finishes in a perfect flat end, so to me it seems like TLC has once again decided to change the moulds for some reason. I'm not entirely sure whether I like it, it seems to ruin the smoothness of the older style. However I'll wait until I see a real one before I start judging it.
