  1. No, you can't take a break, I won't let you! Please?... But seriously, everyone needs a bit of time out, even someone who has been building an awesome story that I really don't want to see stop. And that is not just because it has me in it. Batbrick, I have really enjoyed watching and voting in your IA. It has been tremendous fun, and a great experience. Looking at those MOCs, it is clear you have vastly improved over the course of the series, with that amazing Death Roller being the height of your work, in my opinion. But I want to see more! For me, I voted positives for everything. This has been well thought out, easy to follow, with some awesome characters (especially that evil Genocidal Homicidal Maniac of a Lord, I want his autograph), and amazing scenery. Not to mention all those brick-built creatures! It was a tough choice to make on that voting option, for what I want to see more of, as I want to see more of everything, but i was the brick-built creatures that won. Every time I saw a new IA instalment, I would always look for the brick-built creatures, as they are always unique and nicely built. Keep making those! But keep making everything else as well. The scenery has all been well thought out, I would quite like to see these mountains and some places there... Right, so I've had a habit of writing to much in response to these in the past, so I'll try and wrap up quickly now. I think we, the EB community, should be saying a big thank you to you, for providing us with these quality MOCs and an awesome story line. Here it is: Thank You!! I look forward to all the future instalments and season 2. -ator
  2. Cool, thanks Lamamnda2! They look awesome! So many choices! I am noticing that some of your capes and flags (namely that classic dragon pattern flag) are disappearing. I presume this is because you are selling them. Will you be listing more? I sure hope so... EDIT: Well, I've put in an order now anyway, I can always make another one when you put new stuff up as shipping doesn't cost that much for flat elements. Thanks for making these, I look forward to my order!
  3. Lord Kenneth is there, on the far left. See look, he's waving at you! EDIT: Never mind, that's Lord Calvin. Yes I think my next banner will have a few more characters from other people. Altough this one did have a few; myself, iamded, you, and inertia. I just somehow overlooked Shadows. But he will be there in the next one. I look forward o seeing your banner WhiteFang, it is always fun to see what others come up with. Ah yes, the spears. They are made by the one and only BrickForge, makers of custom weapons, armour and animals (which are fantastic! ) that are specifically compatible with Lego. They do a really good job of it too! Ah, Lord Calvin left his robe inside, he didn't want it to get in the way. Actually it is on it's way to me in a bricklink order, as all my other capes are being used. I look forward to seeing your other characters!
  4. Thanks for the great review WhiteFang! I don't own any of these sets, although I do see them on TradeMe quite often (TradeMe being a NZ auction site). Perhaps I might get them some day. These sets all have nice, simple designs, which is good. Lego used to make a lot of little sets like these, I'm glad they're starting to make more (what with the new impulse sets). A good, in-depth review.
  5. You know I like many had doubt's about these sets when they were first mentioned, but I've decided I want the whole line now! This set is the créme de la créme. Just beautifully stunning! That is a great review svelte_corps, you have gone into fantastic detail and description of all the elements. Really it is this review that has persuaded me to buy this set. I blame you! The minifigs are great, the vehicles are better, and the truck and interior is awesome! The few minor draw backs are far outweighed by the attention to detail and the many unique and cool elements used in this set. And printed pieces! That is even better! Great job, you have obviously put a tremendous effort in making this review, and I for one definitely appreciate it! I am looking forward to these sets being available in New Zealand!
  6. Right, as a quick update for you all, I'll be taking thisto be displayed in the Toyworld at Coastlands on the Kapiti Coast sometime on Monday afternoon. It'll be there for around two weeks, so if your at all interested, stop by and take a look. The store owner, Steve, is a mate of mine and a Lego AFOL, so if he's there he would be worth having a chat too. He also has all the latest news about when sets will be coming to NZ (including things like Green Grocer etc.). Also on a related note, the second instalment of photo's is up in the EB RP thread, so go check it out now! This lot is the start of the battle, so it will be a bit more interesting than last time. I'm going to need to take the rest of them tomorrow, after that I won't be able to for obvious reasons, so they will be put up over the next few days. Here's a teaser: Enjoy! -ator
  7. M10 Dromidur; The Ravine The Battle Begins... (Part 1) The small defending force stood ready for the coming fight. Three dragon knight's made their way across the bridge to stand before the doors of the tower, awaiting the enemy assault. At the front of the bridge stood four spearmen from the Red Valiant force, with Lord Calvin standing behind, armed with his Shadow Spear. Two archers were in place to his left and his bannerman stood behind. Tyrius and another dwarf stood behind the bannerman, with General Marcus and Lord Dragonator, armed with a large black shield and a Lord's sword, standing at the rear. All in all it was a small party, but the terrain could be too their advantage if it was to be used well. We're doomed! Now Marcus that is not the way to talk. We can hold this bridge until reinforcements arrive. But my Lord, we are heavily outnumbered! Yes, but we are fighting on a bridge, that will restrict the numbers that can come through. That may be, but half the weapons these men are using are not suited to close combat. That is so, let us go talk with Lord Calvin. The pair moved up to talk with Lord Calvin, while the dwarfs went and stood eagerly in a spot with a good view. At the other end of the bridge, the three dragon knights could be seen approaching the doorway. Loud thuds could be heard coming from the other side. Dragonator and Marcus approached Calvin. Calvin, we have a problem. This bridge is very narrow and is not suited so well to spears and larger weapons. You have a good point Dragonator, we shall have to be cautious. I have been thinking that we shall let them take the brunt of the attack, to slow them down, and then bring in some swordsmen. Can your bannerman run to the southern gate and ask for a small squad of swordsmen? Then we shall send these spearmen down there, as they will have a better effect there than here. Yes a good idea, he shall go at once. The bannerman left with the message, leaving the three standing alone. Your weapon also seems much to long to be used effectively at the moment. Come join us down the rear, and we shall await our chance. Yes, I shall do that. Excellent. Marcus, have the men stand ready. Men, the enemy is nigh upon us! Stand ready! The small company of men stood ready, both anxious and excited about the upcoming battle. Suddenly, a loud crash was heard, and the doors of the tower splintered and fell forwards, revealing a scorpion knight. The dragon knight's charged into the fray. Tyrius then approached Dragonator. Lord Dragonator, me and my fellows are ready to fight! Let us at them! Your turn will come soon enough, friend. Be patient, you will get your share of battle very soon. Umm, Dragonator, where is Majiko and Adym? Well, Adym is inside stuffing his face and Majiko is recovering himself a bit more before he comes out to help. They should be here soon, in plenty of time for the battle. Don't you worry. Now would be a good time to get your spearmen in a good position. Oh right. Spearmen, defensive formation! At the other end of the bridge, first blood was drawn, however casualties were falling on both sides. ( Get it? ) Up on the tower, a pair of Ankorian crossbowmen made their ways to a good position. Looking down over the parapet, they had a very good position to fire from, as well as a nice view of the entertainment. To be continued... Meanwhile... M10; 5 miles west of Dromindur I say, who is that galloping towards us at high speed? Must be someone from the cavalry, an infantry man wouldn't know how to handle a horse at speed. It looks like one of Lord Dragonator's messengers to me... Yeah, that's what I said. The messenger arrived and jumped down from his horse. My Lords, the city is under attack! Supreme Councillor Dragonator requests your men back at once to defend the city. Even now Ankoria's scorpion knights will be attacking! Right, now is not the time for us to be backtalking each other like usual, it is time for us to act professional gentlemen! Yeah whatever. Good. Men! Drop those crates where they are! Grap yourselves a weapon each, quickly now, we are going to make record time back to the city. A battle is taking place, and we are missing it! You townsfolk follow up behind with those carts and crates, at your own pace. Move out! The soldiers scrambled for weapons and, after getting into a very quick and rough formation, started jogging back to the city.
  8. I just made another Bricklink order for 100 ants, among other things, from Precious Princess Palace. Good prices on parts etc, and shipping isn't to bad this time either. I wonder what I might be planning?
  9. Oh I can do you Shadows, in fact your standing here staring at me menacingly by my computer... Complete with your brown epaulettes. and cape. Opps. I had forgotten about you being in the RP (as yourself that is). Ah well, you'll definitely be in version 3. As well as Aluvar, if I can find a second torso.
  10. Happy Birthday Sinner, have a good one, and let us know what you get! Now, go eat cake!
  11. What, I thought you used Emperor Palpatine's Torso? Oh right, never mind, you changed it... Umm, could I offer you a free holiday to the sunny shores of my Kingdom in the north-west? OK, I'm sorry, I've said it, now stop glaring! Please, I'm dressed in black, it gets pretty hot in here! (for future reference, could I use your old face, I have that one )
  12. A yes, well, umm... The reason for that is that I don't have Aluvar's torso or face... Sorry! EDIT: No, wait a minute, I meant to say is, can't you see him? He's there, I can see him! Yes, see, right... there! *Points* Now quick, I better get out of here while he's distracted...
  13. I have made another banner, this time featuring more characters. Tell me what you think, which of the two do you like better?
  14. No need to get violent! I think we should all accept and respect each others opinions people. Unless of course those opinoins happen to clash with my view of dragons, in which case you should definitely walk carefully. As for your last statement, I find it hard to believe that a tiny dumb troll might even attempt to eat a dragon (no matter how amusing tat would look ). That is pretty funny! But that is not something to even joke about pal. Getting off-topic? I think this is very on-topic really, as we are discussing why a certain somebody won't let me be represented by the dragons. However if you insist I will say again: DRAGONS!!! Thanks for listening, -ator
  15. That is a very nice banner, well done, and don't I look handsome! Now, I would like to have a quick discussion on what is meant by 'dragon rights'. Now, what I have always been fighting for (and this may or may not differ with what the rest of you think), is for dragons to be treated with the honour and respect they deserve from an inferior race; namely humans. Dragons being creatures of their own wills, have their own communities, and rumoured cities (please don't ask me, I'm not allowed to say much about these ), far from the cities and palaces of what humans call 'civilized society'. As dragons do like to share their knowledge and just have fun with people, they do on occasion interact with humans, mainly only those they like. This is where my argument comes in. Dragons do not deserve rights, they deserve our lives to be committed to fulfilling their every wish. OH course, they do not expect humans to go that far, but they do expect to be treated with honour and respect. Was it humans that were present at the creation of time. We would like to think so, but in reality no, it was the great, noble, wise dragons that from the depths of time were present at the creation. This is why when I see someone saying something offensive or just plain rude to dragons, I often become a little touchy. I understand that it is often because of ignorance, so I see it as my duty to be the educator. Nice pictures WhiteFang, that's the sort of thing I like to see. It is clear you have a true understanding of dragons. By the way, for those of you who don't know, the dragons WhiteFang has pictured are called Draco Migrus (literally 'small dragons'). The are one of three breeds of dragons, the other two being Draco Creber (the ones seen in the new castle line, literally means 'thick dragons' (thick being bodily not mentally)), and Draco Famen (literally meaning articulate dragons, these being brick-built, with an example being the ones een in the Viking line). These are the only three breeds seen in the Lego universe, if you wanted me to go on to other dragons then I could type for hours! Anyway, that was the fact of the day. (I would go on but there is an emoticon limit...) -ator
  16. No no, that is completely the opposite of what I am trying to tell you! Now you are suggesting that dragons are something to be owned, like a catapult or a battering ram. Not so my friend, not so. Dragons are a race in their own right, they owe no allegiance to either the crownies, the skellies, or even the dragon knights! You see, each of these groups is a group of humans; dragons, even though they are incleded on one or the other side in the Lego sets, are a race all of their own. They are part of no faction. This is why I find it so hurtful when you say that they are 'owned' by a particular faction; more like enslaved. Dragons are not a dumb item like a horse or a cow that can be owned, they are wise and noble creatures far beyond the understanding of any mortal human. They cannot be grouped with any faction of castle, whether it be dragon knights or crownies, as they are not human and do not belong to a human faction. They are different from trolls, who are sworn to a particular 'faction' of their own, but dragons are free creatures with no ties to any group of humans or other. Yes they will occasionally make alliances with a group, such as the dragon knights, but this does not mean that they 'belong' to that faction. Does that make things a bit clearer for you? I hope in future that you do not make the mistake of grouping dragons with a faction or as a dumb item like a catapult. If it comes down to that, we could all start talking about how we 'own' men in certain factions, and we all know that it is impossible to own a person (unless they are a slave of course ). In the MODERN castle line as you have called, dragons are most certainly not represented by any faction, they are a group in their own right that is either allied with a certain side for their own reasons, or enslaved by evil means. Yes the Dragon Knights are the most 'dragon-like' of the old castle factions, but that is only because they love and care for their fellow friends the dragons, and so the dragons are happy to talk, play, and when the occasion arises, fight with the dragon knights. I hope you now have a clearer understanding of dragons. I can forgive you for your ignorance, as your comments were most likely entirely stemmed by not knowing how dragons should truly be treated, but now that you know I will not accept any sort of insult towards them. [/sermon]
  17. I just made an impulse buy of 10 bronze Greek armour sets from BrickForge, as well as a few other weapons etc. I also got a couple of black and brown cows a few days ago.
  18. That looks very slick in dark grey, nice job! It looks a bit more like a camouflage vehicle now.
  19. Hi everyone, For those of you who have been hanging out for the bronze greek armour sets by BrickForge, they have a few back in stock! Isn't that great! Hopefully they still come with the red plumes, although they are supposed to have been discontinued I think... Anyway, the approximate number left is only 30, so get in quick if you want a few. I just bought 10, so there should technically only be 20 left. Enjoy! PS For those who requested a while ago that I do a BrickForge review, this will probably be postponed until their next wave of weapons comes out. Until then, enjoy, and I hope some of you get the weapons you desire. EDIT: You know, I just thought that this would probably fit better in the Buy/Sell/Trade/Finds Forum, if some kindly Mod would move this that would be very much appreciated.
  20. This is an awesome diorama SirNadroj! Your ant collection is surprising for someone who doesn't like them that much. The layout is superb with a nice placement of figures and ants. You know it is crazy how in the film the ants can make a little pyrimad and climb up each other to reach Irina Spalko! Can they really do that? Anyway, this scene looks really nice, meeting your usual high standard and giving us something new and unique each time. The anthill with the man being dragged in is awesome! The jeep is a very nice representation too. Great work, well done!
  21. Oh no you didn't! What are you trying to say? That dragons are not worthy enough even to have vote now? That they are so inferior that they should be repressed and not counted at all? EVIL!! Just pure EVIL I tell you all!!!! Firstly a few little points. You say dragons are not a separate race, and I find this very confusing. If they are the same race as both humans (alive) and undead (dead), then what are they exactly? You make no sense. They are more than just a separate race, they are a separate species! Why is it that nobody can grasp this! Why are my friends the dragons always the first to be tossed aside? Now, if we accept they are an entirely different species, let us move on to the next point. You have said that a dragons vote (or someone voting for a dragon) doesn't count. This makes me angry. Not only are you suppressing the rights of us to vote for who we truly and most deeply represent, but you are saying that dragons are too worthless to vote! How do you think that makes them feel, hearing that! Have some humanity! Dragons are far wiser and superior to any other creature of this Earth, if their vote doesn't count, then nobodies vote should! They may not be able to log on here and tell you, but as their official representative in a world gone mad, I feel it my duty to tell you instead. So everyone, the moral is, think before you post a comment that is extremely hurtful to dragons, especially when there is any chance whatsoever of me treading the topic. You have been warned. Ah, this sounds much better, glad you are happy to include us dragon fans in future. I guess that might start to make up for the fact that they were excluded from the start. Now, get back to the discussion! Dragon Rights ON! -ator
  22. Those new capes are beautiful! The long ones look really nice, I especially like the design with the white background. Do you think you might make some Dragon Masters versions' of the awesome shoulder capes? I know, I'm such a nuisance. If you think you might then I would love to see what they look like, but if not, then I should make an order some time soon. I also love those new-shaped flags, especially the dragon one.
  23. A nice idea for a poll. I don't have 'display' as such at the moment due to the lack of space, but I voted for a combination, as when I did have table space I had a town set up with official sets and one or two MOCs. Someday I'm going to build a big city scene with lots of MOC buildings. That's a while away though.
  24. A great interview, the pictures and speech bubbles worked a charm! Again some good humour, and an interesting guest. Nice job.
  25. Those new cape extensions look awesome Lamanda2! I might even be tempted to branch out into some other factions! I think I'm addicted now... Oh, and thanks for listening to the request, I look forward to seeing them! I can already think of some uses for them.
