  1. L7 Dragons Keep Lord Dragonator turned to exit the throne room and almost skewered himself on a sword blade. Gah! Oh, hello. Hmmm, we really need to increase security around here, these men have excellent hearing! It's good to have you with me Thaddius. Would you be willing to accompany me down to the where the Ankorians are being held? Excellent. The pair left the throne room and made their way down to the entrance hall, where Majiko was waiting. That was fast. Yes, that Grim was very insistent. Well, your here now. Once I have gone to deal with the Ankorian scum, you and I need to discuss a few... matters... in relation to that project I have Adym working on. Ah, right. I shall await your return then. Thank you, my friend. There shall be many celebrations tonight! Lord Dragonator left the foyer, and made his way out into the sunshine. There, he met up with a small contingent of Royal Guards who were to escort him down to the city wall. Dragonator mounted his black war-horse and they set off, with a pair of Dragons flanking him. Thaddius rode out on Drayn, and a Captain from the Central Squadron rode on Blazewing. They rode down to the Eastern Gate, where the prisoners were being held in the camp outside...
  2. Oh dear, done already? Well, I guess we can lock up then. Since we have finished so early, I will try not to make this night so long. Yoy people make this so difficult for me, don't you? The end votes are as follows: General Marcus (Batbrick): 8 Lord Savril (Hinckley): 1 It was only a few hours after breakfast, but the keep had already made up there minds. General Marcus, on whom such a great conflict of facts had centred around, was condemned to death. He too would now be taken to the dungeons to be dealt with... quietly. Having finished the serious business, the people went out into the large gardens that surrounded the keep to get some fresh air. A game of stones was set up, and many a wager was set on the outcome between the dragon and the dragon lord. Meanwhile, large tables were set up and food was brought out. It was the largest feast the people had eaten since Ernest the chef had died. Nobody wanted to know who had cooked it; it looked to good to spoil. Eventually, the light began to fade and the people made there ways back indoors for some quiet drinking before bed, as well as a couple of social games of cards. Truly, things almost seemed normal, if it were not for the ever present knowledge that some among them were traitors... This thread may now be locked. Thanks once again for taking part, I'll aim to have the next day up and running in a few days. And here I was thinking I might be able to get some work done on the EBRP, yet alone real-life work! You have a real life? Shut it. As a general notice, I am going to be away from home for a week starting next Monday; hopefully this will not disrupt the game-play too much. Could I please have all night actions sent to me NOW. Thanks. Now, go get building, with such a short day I expect to see lots of great entries for the building contest!
  3. Dovchenko, could you please not edit your replies? You just deleted a line of words and replaced them, which is against the rules. This is your warning, don't make me have to talk to you again. For the benefit of the rest of the players, Dovchenko's first statement originally read: Followed be the devil smiley and the rest of the post. I probably didn't get the wording quite right, but it is as close as I can remember.
  4. Oh dear, despite all your words, the people of this keep are being very hasty today. The current votes are as follows: General Marcus (Batbrick): 6 Lord Savril (Hinckley): 1 To be consistent, a majority vote of 7 is required to condemn any one person. Vote wisely people...
  5. What what what? I don't know a thing! That would be the game master. You know, all these different personalities of yours are really starting to get confusing. Well, your one of them, so that's confusing enough for me. How can I be another one of your personalities when I'm standing here talking to you? Exactly. I always get my revenge... :skull: You can't expect me to feed you every little piece of information can you? Perhaps I wasn't standing right next to the action, and so didn't here it. Anyway, there is no 'limping' or 'scratches to the face' because nothing that would cause that happened. Night actions don't just follow a simple formula of hit someone, make a loud noise, and then turn up late because of it. No, just because nobody was late and half the castle wasn't limping doesn't mean nothing happened in the night. There, happy now? You know my Lord, it is very funny sitting here and watching these guys squabbling. I know, it is hilarious to know that they keep going after the wrong person, other than that Lord Ash, that is. At this rate everyone's going to be dead before they discover anything! What, so you do know who the traitors are? Um, no?... Your a funny one my Lord. Especially well done on side-tracking the entire keep from looking into the all the stuff they said they would in the first day. Me? That wasn't me, that was, um, all that business with people dying! Yeah, whatever. You know, they still haven't got a smidgen closer to discovering the events surrounding the death of the king? Hmmm, yes, they might have found out a few more traitors if they had looked into that a bit more. Well, too late now. Hey, why is everyone silent and listening to us? I don't know, the nosy louts. Don't mind us people, keep talking about killing more people, we were just reminiscing on all the stuff that's happened. Were we? Well, lets go back a little further and talk about that mountain exploration trip we went on a few years back. I remember you didn't want to go at first, but that didn't stop us. We left in the early hours of a Saturday morning if I recall correctly, and set of towards the north with a weeks supplies, looking forward to the coming adventure and everything else that... As Majiko kept talking, he did not notice that Lord Dragonator had fallen asleep. It would probably be a few hours before he realised it anyway...
  6. Right everyone, Day 6 is now up, so get posting! I have been talking with Ragnir, and we have decided to extend the deadline for the building challenge to the end of Day 7. This gives you all one more week, so use it wisely. We want to see as many entries as possible!
  7. Me, annoying? Never! Thanks once again for entering, the game and I miss your input! We still have the RP game though, so not all is lost.
  8. IMPORTANT: If you are not a participant in the game, then please do not post in the game. These threads are reserved for players only. Compared with the previous night, things were rather dull in the keep. The majority of the court retired to their rooms for an early night, with the exception of Kyle, who had some… business to attend too. During the day, the people of the keep had had a lot of difficulty deciding on whom to believe, try to find out what evidence was truth, and what was lies. IN the end, after much debate and the revelation of some very interesting ‘facts’, the people voted for General Spencer (iamded), after he admitted to killing a loyalist, Mike, earlier in the week. The military, having been founded on very strong traditions, takes treason very seriously. And so it was the task of beheading the once great General fell to Kyle. The true question was, had the people made the right decision? No matter whether they had or not, General Spencer was a lost man. In the depths of the castle, Kyle executed the General. And so it was that his life ended. Now, the people of the castle were eager to see if this was their mysterious killer, the terrible traitor. The people gathered in the hall in front of a depressed Kyle. Unfortunately, it had fallen to him to break the news to them. General Spencer, the one they had voted to death, was a loyalist. The people stood in a state of shock. They had been so certain. So, if it was not he, then who was it really… *insert dramatic/suspense building music* Thanks once again for choosing to play. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. If you need to review the rules, then these can be found in the introduction thread (link in my signature). Flatfoot Thompson As a general update, Ragnir has asked that the entries for the building challenge be in as soon as possible. He thanks you in advance. It has been decided that the deadline shall be extended to the end of Day 7; this gives you precisely one week more time, so build something good! Now, have fun, and crack that mystery!
  9. You know, I've never listened to one of these, so it was a fun experience for me. Perhaps I'll listen to a few more some time. Anyway, it was a nice talk, good to hear some of the up-coming things such as this Classic-Town! I'm looking forward to that! I just wish I had the space to set up an awesome town layout... Ah Hinckley, even in a serious radio interview, we still see some of your classic charm pulling through. Very well done indeed!
  10. I myself always use a brick-separator, however I think your idea with the guitar pick is very clever; I would never have thought of it!
  11. Yay, our first entry is in! Yes, well done WhiteFang! I am glad you decided to take part. You have set a great standard for the rest of the participants to follow. I hope some of the other 'dead' people also enter, that way we will have a few more entries. The more the merrier! Now, about the deadline, it is supposed to be at the end of Day 6, which is 5 days away (Day 6 will be up very soon). However, if some of you need more time, then I would be happy to extend the deadline to the end of Day 7. After all, we want as many entries as possible, so I don't want anyone missing out. Of course, if you are all fine with the deadline, then it will end at the end of Day 6 as planned. I look forward to all your great entries; this is sure to be great fun!
  12. I think this is on my list of things to get. It is funny, for NZ, the price of the book is $43.99, and then the price of shipping is $50! That's not cool. Is the limited edition version only available to Europeans? It isn't on S@H for New Zealand... Or am I missing something, can I order that one somewhere else?
  13. Out of interest, how much did you pay? Thanks for those answers by the way badger, very helpful. I'm just sad I couldn't make it to the event. Maybe some other year, when I can afford an overseas holiday.
  14. That would be the adventure thread. For future reference, it is pinned at the top of the history forum. Label is EBRP Adventure Thread. Have fun posting, and we look forward to your story!
  15. Well, try your best to get something in. It doesn't have to be fancy, just something that reflects what you think of the game so far, or what you have enjoyed, something like that. It doesn't take long to make a vignette, you should easily get something worthy done in less than an hour. Well, keep those entries coming! We haven't had any yet... It looks like Ragnir's going to be on a rampage during day 7...
  16. Gah! The price has gone up to $799.99 in New Zealand! That's an increase from $439.99. That's got to be the largest mark-up/rip-off I have ever seen! I knew I should have pre-ordered it already. Stupid of me not too, really. I am hugely disappointed in how this has turned out. I was looking forward to ordering this when I had a little more cash available, it was at a fairly good price before. Now, it is just a blatant rip-off. They almost doubled the price! I cannot express in words how angry I am (well I can actually, but you certainly don't want to hear it...). I certainly have some very blunt questions now. Really, very disappointing for me, I probably won't be able to get this set at all now. Do they think we're made of money? Grrr, I'm going to be in a bad mood for he rest of the day...
  17. Only a little... (Ragnir, remind me not to mess with WhiteFang, ever.) I haven't thought it all out yet, but there will be some interesting twists in this succession. You'll all get to know some annoying nobles, and perhaps even see the influence of an evil force... (*insert dramatic music + lightning*) Oh yes, there will definitely be some mention of that. I just quickly explained some earlier history before, but that will come into it as well. Eventually. I don't suppose anybody knows the date, or can I create a calender too?
  18. Opps, missed you WhiteFang, sorry. Thanks for your kind words. I think my kingdom has some great stuff heading it's way, as well as some bad. Let's just say this succession isn't likely to go all that well, as Lord Dragonator well knows. There is always more than one meaning in every action... Well yes, it is called the Dragon Masters Kingdom at the moment. The Kingdom of Dragons I referred to is actually a translation of the original name from the old tongue for the once mighty kingdom that ruled the entire land from sea to sea. This was well before humans arrived of course, and is now only remembered by the more eccentric of scholars, such as Cyprox the Wise of Hamenwear. After the arrival of the humans in the land (we don't yet have a name for the continent, do we? Perhaps that needs some thinking about...), the war of 100 years ensured, which eventually resulted in the dragons being forced into their central nesting grounds and the capital city of Dratos (now called Dragons Keep). After this, the humans set up the Agaetian Empire, which eventually included the area known now as the Dragon Masters Kingdom, but which at the time was mainly just the dragons last point of refuge. Their great cities were destroyed, and the ugly, backwards buildings of the humans replaced them. The dragons were forced back into their Sacred Valley and other such hiding places, until a later time of greater friendliness between the races. Of course, the old empire no longer exists, and has since been replaced by the kingdoms we know today (not immediately of course, there have been all sorts of kingdoms in between, with different territories conquered and various small states etc being in place at one time), but that is all a story for another day. Sorry for the history lesson, I got a little carried away. It was very short anyway, I just quickly skimmed over some main points. Perhaps I'll include something like that in the summary that I'll be writing, and then link to a full history at a later date, divided into the proper sections. We will see how far my enthusiasm can carry me. I have a very good idea of what the summary will look like; don't worry, it will include all the main points that you have meticulously laid out in the other summaries, and I'll eventually edit in links to the other information as I get around to it. Do not fear, I am a perfectionist, and every minute detail will be thoroughly covered. (Man, what am I getting myself into here?... ) Oh, and you may call me Lord Dragonator, I like that better anyway. You just had to geta comment in somewhere, didn't you? Oh course, now bow before your king. I'll deal with you shortly you stuck up prick! Don't think your going to have this easy. No, you always liked it hard. You did not just say that! EDIT: Oh yes, and sorry for the double post, but I thought I had better answer WhiteFang.
  19. Oh come on, it's only been one day!! Some people are much to eager. I haven't even received all the night actions, yet alone built the scenery! Ah well, all in a days work I guess. I'll get there eventually, don't you worry. But remember, if I start the day earlier, then It'll cut into your building time for the challenge!
  20. What's that you say Ragnir? King Dragonator? No no, Lord Dragonator will still do, please. I should think so. Don't expect it to last long though, with every rise there is a fall. Yes, that's the worrying part, the guy who writes these scripts is insane... Hey! I heard that! And now I will plot your doom. Eventually. Oh great, thanks. In other news, I've got to work on the Dragon Masters write up, or should I say, the Dragon Masters Kingdom (of old called the Kingdom of Dragons, but more on that later ). I'm going to be making this fairly detailed, so bear with me. If you like, I can write the full descriptions in the character summary thread so it doesn't take up to much space in the main summary thread, and provide links to the various things. This could be a long journey, but I'm glad your all along for it. To tickle your taste buds, some of the things I'm going to work on first are: - A run down of the military, including detailed pictures of the various uniforms used throughout the kingdoms history, an in depth discussion of the various ranks and 'special' positions, as well as the different legions found in the various regions of the land and the four different sections. An top of this there will be a nice description of the different plumes and helmets used to denote rank, and how they have changed throughout the history of the kingdom (formerly an empire, but more on that later as well). Also included will be a description of weapons. After I finish all that (if I ever do ) there will probably be some other military things, such as history, including battles and famous commanders, plus anything else I think of in the meantime. There will also be xome new characters that come of this. - Cities, towns, major military outposts, landmarks etc. - The various groups, such as political groups, the aristocracy (including the various Houses and an explanation of the Alliances), religious groups, merchants/trading partners (also types of trade including major imports/exports and where they are produced, including agriculture and industry). - A solid currency After these things will eventually come a nice, long detailed history and some other things as well, such as town plans, various building descriptions (and pictures), and anything else I deem important that I have at the moment forgotten. First to do though is get a basic outline of the summary for the summary thread, which I will work on first. This will of course be updated and changed a huge amount as I go, as it will be an ever changing, ever progressing project. I'll make regular updates to the summary thread whenever I write a new section, providing links etc. What, you think I'm taking this to seriously? Well, lets just say I've taken it as a bit of a project. I wont be able to do much on it until Mystery Castle is finished, however after that I will definitely put in some serious work. I want my Kingdom to become as realistic as possible, so this is my way of starting that. It will be relaxing to have something fun to gradually work on, and I look forward to it. Of course, a lot of this will take some time, and I probably wont explain everything, however I'm sure you'll all get the gist of it from how it is explained in the game. I will eventually develope this into something beyond our fun little game, but that will not be for a long while yet. Lets say I'm aspiring to write some stories like other AFOLs such as SavatheAggie etc. Right, I've rambled enough for now, nobody is probably listening anyway. So, perhaps rather than talking about what I will do, I should go get on and do it! If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I am also very open to suggestions if you have any. Just don't even think about 'suggesting' I get rid of the dragons, otherwise they will come for you.
  21. Gah, look at the price of the thing! And with 8 days still to go... But I want it so much!! It's a truly a beautiful custom, Will has done a great job with this one. Will this be the only auction that includes the neddler, or might there be a chance of more? There were an aweful lot of these figures on display in one of those photos, so I thought that there might be more listed perhaps... Hmmm, if I had that sort of money to spend on a single minifig then I might go for it. To bad you don't have a few available on the site for a more reasonable price! Ah well, we will see, if this is the only chance I'll ever have of getting the gun, then I might still bid on it yet. EDIT: By the way, is there a reason why the shipping is more expensive? Cheers
  22. Well, true to my word, I have just got back from another shopping outing, with the Peril in Peru set at the top of the list. I ended up spending a bit more than planned, but hey, it's 20% off, so I may as well. Firstly I got 7628 Peril in Peru. I'm looking forward to building that! Next, I finally got the At-AP Walker (7671), with a 25% discount. Then came one each of the 7667 Imperial Dropship and the 7668 Rebel Scout Speeder, both at 20% off. Finally, I got another Air Mail set (7732) at 25% off and the 7725 River Ambush set at just over 20% off. All in all, not a bad haul if I must say so myself. Now I really need to let my bank card recover, it has been being used far to much recently!
  23. That's out now? I have to go get it right now!!
  24. I love you too Hinckle. What's that? The voting is over? Oh damn... Oh well, there's always tomorrow. Yeah, as long as a certain someone doesn't try to stab me in my sleep. Don't you think you've given him enough of a hard time already? Just drop it! Oh all right then. But I was starting to enjoy sitting around and skulking. ? Hehe, just kidding. Right, well it looks like I should do a voting summary. What an interesting day! First they go after one general, and then against all odds, they suddenly go after the other one! How... fun! Final voting is as follows: iamded (General Spencer): 9 Well that's a definite change from what they were saying earlier in the day. Yes, let us hope it is the right choice. I know whether it is or not, but I ain't telling. Your so cruel! And now for a word from our glorious host! Hey everyone! I'm back, and so is Ragnir. Hello. Thanks once again for playing, and I hope you are all enjoying yourselves. We appear to have finished early again, but no matter! Could I please have all night actions in ASAP! Yes, and also, don't forget about your entries for the building challenge! Right, so until next time, sleep tight! (This thread can now be locked)
  25. Haha, jelly bean marines totally on! I can't wait for that!
