They certainly look compatible; the picture on the box shows a very similar connecting system. They look quite good with the tile-style sleepers; not sure about their being one-wide though as it means that you end up with four one-wide sleepers and then one two-wide where the track sections join.

That makes sense - I wasn't aware that Lego car size inflation had got to that level! Would be great to see the Kei car model next to another one in the same scale.

Takes me right back to my childhood that! The only thing that irks me a little is that there's no way for the yellow truck to get on and off of the quay... you could always take the ramp out of the middle and replace it with a grey brick sea-wall, and add the ramp to the corner baseplate on the left end of the docks.

It's good, but I do feel like the Copen should be 4-wide amongst all of the 6-wide supercars!

If I'm understanding the requirement correctly, you want a MILS plate half? Why not make an L using an 8 x 24 baseplate and an 8 x 16, and then use tiles on sideways SNOT bricks to make a few "pads" to balance it? (The blue bricks are 26604s)

Look, if we built this large wooden badger...

Fantastic! How did you do the roof of the shrine?

I second all of the nice words! It would have been easy to make this just a technical item, hidden away somewhere (and still impressive then). But I love the way it's become a model!- 14 replies

The bungee jumper is fantastic!

Looks good! Have you considered using 13760 for the windscreen? It'd give you the split-screen of the prototype.

Yeah, I think modern power supplies generally use a linear regulator to keep the voltage steady.
-
Most voltages haven’t actually changed; eg the UK “changed” from 240V to 230V by relabelling it. In practice the voltage is allowed to be from slightly under 220V to slightly over 250V, so 240-ish is fine.

Yes, that would be the “normal” one but the detail is much finer here.

Love that digger! Can I ask what parts are used to make the corrugated panels on the container?

Is it worth considering sharing the bogies between carriages? I think that's how the real ones work?

Thanks for all the kind words!

I thought I'd have a go at a bogie bolster wagon, a generic type of old British railway wagon used for moving long things. Just like the prototype, this version has multiple mounts on the frame to allow for the bolsters to be mounted in various positions to suit the cargo.

Fantastic stuff!

Indeed. Companies collaborating with one another to deny business to another would generally be illegal. However, companies setting up a non-profit organisation dedicated to corporate responsibility and then following its guidance seems perfectly legitimate, so long as it's actually doing just that - which is what would seem to be the case here.

Part of something I'm working on for a modern layout, but which would have been originally build around the time of the pirates theme, so I thought it fit best here! It's essentially along the lines of a Martello tower, a series of small round forts built across the British Empire. Plenty of space on top for either infantry or a cannon, and space inside with firing ports in the very thick walls to protect against return gunfire from any (pirate) ships. This one was built a long time ago and ivy has taken root on the render, some of which has fallen off revealing the thick brickwork below.

[MOC] Abandoned Passenger Wagon (contains some heresy)

Love this! -
If they ever do re-do a monorail, I'd guess they'd use a re-manufacture of the old tracks, with a Technic-compatible sprocket unit. That could then work with existing components for (remote) control.

Agree with the point above about the bunker and tender seeming a bit odd - I'd move the cab back slightly (giving a longer boiler) and remove the bunker. That could also line-up the ladder with the entrances, which seem a bit awkward at the moment.
