  1. Because this remake of the original set didn't include a tower. So I never thought about that possibility.
  2. I don't really understand what the problem is. It's a basic construction technique to display the coast. I like this kind of solution. But we are not all the same. However, I would be interested to know how you would have solved it. Maybe that would have been better.
  3. What is the problem? Because I don't understand what you wrote this for.
  4. I was referring to the early pirates legos, anything else would be an explanation. I was clearly only thinking of it as a flag design. A) Originally it was really supposed to be the darbs of the boat, but I don't like this detail as much as I did when I left it in. There should be other ways to make them not so big. Or I could say that these are the lifeboats. But that's just a weak solution
  5. Thank you very much! 🍻🏴‍☠️👍😉
  6. The Child - Steve's childhood [HUN] Legújabb MOC-om egy másik kihívásra készült eredetileg. [ENG] My latest MOC was originally created for another challenge. There the number of pieces was very limited, so the MOC was not as elaborate as in this case. Of course, I had to compromise to fit the 200 piece limit, but I think I was able to keep this new MOC elaborate enough. In Story, I just wanted to include it in the current challenge as "This is Steve as a kid". I don't think more needs to be said about him than that, as everything else is apparent.
  7. How did you make this rock monstrosity? Can you show me pictures of the technique? I would be very interested to see how it is built. Very nice entry! And the shark is a very good gag. 👍😉
  8. Thank you for liking it. There is a hiding place on the boat. There is a gold bar hidden under the big chest. And the smuggled goods don't necessarily have to be hidden in a secret compartment, there's no room for that here. So just openly supplying the legal stuff you need. But otherwise, it moves in such a small area that the risk of being caught is minimal. Good boy, Steve! 😂
Ezzel a kis csónakkal járta a környéket. Nem ment nagy távokra. A terve az volt, hogy seftelni fog az árukkal amíg nem találkozik egy régi cimborájával vagy nem tud lopni vagy venni egy bárkát, hogy tovább állhasson. [ENG] After Steve survived the big battle and found a place to settle down, he was determined to get the attention of a ship and return him to civilisation. Every day, he sailed the sea in his little raft, so that if he saw a ship, he would have a chance to get in its way or signal it somehow. One day luck smiled on him and a small fishing boat picked him up. From there he was taken to Porto Brick, where he left in a small sailing boat a short time later. But he grew fond of his little hideaway, so he returned there from time to time in this little boat to land his contraband. He used this little boat to travel around the area. He didn't go very far. His plan was to seft with the goods until he could meet an old mate or steal or buy a barge to keep him going.
  10. Thank you very much! You were not hard on me. The point of this critique is to highlight possible flaws from another perspective. Since I made it from scratch, I've seen the grades and I don't necessarily see the error. Plus I'm always biased against new projects and it's even harder to see what needs to change. You may have been right if you felt the previous one was a mess, because it only took me a couple of hours to make. I have tried to improve this set and I can see from your reaction that I have. I didn't want to put the pictures up there, so it wouldn't look like "that's not what I called it back then". But that's why I wrote that it's updated up there, so that anyone looking at it might take the time to scroll down to see what's changed.
  11. Then you won't like CFE either, because the small island is just as full. I made it a little bigger, but I still managed to fill it up. I replaced the roof structure because some people said it didn't protect Steve enough from the inclement weather. So I had the tarpaulin over the cannon sheeted and a larger piece of one of the sails from a ship that had sunk in battle was put on. I also rebuilt the pier to make it more disjointed, and so by lifting one of the planks, the gold bar was accessible. But it is true that there is no other hiding place. Just the two barrels with the food in them. The windows are so ruined now that they don't all have this lattice element. That was to show the dilapidated state of the guardhouse. For me, I wanted to use a leftover piece of a ship, not only because I already had one (Barracuda Bay), but because the original stock wasn't large.
  12. Thank you for your criticism. You have written so much that I will only be able to respond tomorrow. What I can tell you is that a CFE (community feedback edition) of this set is already in the works. At the moment the render images are ready.
  13. The background to the story is in Steve's Hideout.
  14. Okay, I'll look at it that way. But it may end up as you wrote, that I just remove both.
  15. I'll see how to do it, but I'll definitely improve it. Hopefully in the right direction 😉
  16. I think that the deterioration of the building is pretty well shown by the fact that not all the walls are still there, that what is there is fragmented. But as you described, a hole would really throw it. I'm already working on an improved version and I'll try to include this in it. The door is also a good point, I'll think about how it could be improved.
  17. This is one of the mistakes in the set. It was originally supposed to be a shipwreck. Now I could say boats but if they were boats I would have used a different element. So those were left as battle damage.
  18. I thought about this solution for the cannon, but in the end I preferred the fire, because I liked it better. I don't like the white water splash. It would look somehow foreign on the diorama. Plus the splash brick is not in white I think. Thank you very much for your review! 👍😉🏴‍☠️🍻
  19. Thank you very much! 🍻🏴‍☠️😉😎
  20. Thank you for your comments. I don't feel crammed in this little diorama, but I'll take it if it is for you. I'd say you can find details that you like even after looking at them several times. Yes, I've thought about how to incorporate Steve's figure, but the proportions are not necessarily right. And showing Him, in any form, would have made it worse. However, there was a version of this set where he was just standing in the middle as a minifigure where the board is now. You know, like you do with UCS sets. But in the end I didn't like it. You're right about the sail, because it might have been better with just white and the familiar coat of arms logo, but that hadn't occurred to me before. Maybe the cannon is a bit much for a merchant ship, but I wanted to show the atmosphere of a fierce battle. As well as the crowdedness. As I answered above, I like it that way because there are always new little things to discover in the set. It's definitely nice to get feedback on one of my MOCs, thanks to you for that too. I'm glad you like it. 😉🍻🏴‍☠️
  21. Steve's Doom [ENG] I've previously described Steve's miserable fate as a castaway who settled into a deserted outpost (Steve's Hideout). This MOC shows him heroically fighting off his attacker.
  22. Thank you very much! 😉🍻🏴‍☠️👍
  23. I thought about adding more yolks. In fact, when I made the first prototype, I did it with the new eldorado set wall technique, which has more yellow. But I didn't want to deviate that much from the original. 😉
  24. I did not say that there should not be a cannon on board, but that a cannon of that size takes up too much space.
