  1. Thank you! 🏴‍☠️🍻👍😉😀 Thank you! 👍😉🍻🏴‍☠️
  2. Thank you! 🍻🏴‍☠️👍😉
  3. For example, I've rebuilt this one many times and it's so common that you could replace two or three with one battery. When I make an instruction, I usually rebuild it and correct these errors.
  4. There is nothing wrong with that. The top plates are assembled in such a way that the whole thing can be lifted up as one. If it bothers you that I left the other landmarks there, I'm sorry. It doesn't look silly to me, it makes sense, but I've written that before. I don't think it spoils the experience, but it does for you, then I can't help it. I've built a base that if you move it, it won't splinter just because the elements can't overlap. I've used square tiles for water before, and then that was the problem. That's why I have the rounded plates. I like it better anyway. But who likes what 😉
  5. Thank you! 😉👍🍻🏴‍☠️ The water is two layers because I couldn't get it to be rounded and held together by something like a plate or rock, whatever. It's not the only time I've had this issue, but I'll take a picture of the bottom tomorrow if I remember and then I think you'll understand. Yes, it could be more colorful, but then that would be the problem. I think at guard camp,at was either the first entry it was a problem for someone that used too much color. You can't please everyone, but I scaled it back and that's why I had those colors. I always think about the bottom of the cliff, how it could be dark and where the water doesn't reach it could be light, but since I can't do it the way I imagine it, I prefer to keep it light grey
  6. First of all thank you, I'm glad you like it. 😉😀🍻🏴‍☠️ Maybe brown would be ideal, but I'm a child of the era when there were only yellow figures. I liked that independence much better, but there is charm in the more colorful characters of today. In hindsight I saw an entry that had dark green vegetation and yes, it would look better with that. But I'm using the palette of the bricklink designer program at the moment, where the elements, colours and figures are limited. I'm not going to change the bottom row of rocks. Anyway, I've only tried this technique, but I'd already do it differently actually. If I could have done the rock laid out like this, believe me it would have been really nice. When I started taking the render pics, I remembered that I originally wanted to put something green everywhere, but then I wanted to have a round number of elements and so I could fit it in.
  7. Thank you! 😉👍🏴‍☠️🍻😀
  8. Thank you! 😉👍🏴‍☠️🍻 I also have a bigger moc. You can also see my very first digital moc, lighthouse fortress or my 19000+ piece temple on my insta account. However, if you want to see a bigger one in the current contest, I may not have time or ideas for that. Especially if I am looking for something that no one else has made in this contest. But I can promise that if I win with an entry, I will share the instructions for the winning entry for free with anyone who wants it 😉 .
  9. Thank you! 😉👍😎🍻🏴‍☠️
  10. Hello! I'm running out of sets (especially since there's more than one that someone else has already made and I don't think I could create a better one) that I'd like to revisit, but this one is still here. And this is the 6246 Crocodile Cage remake. I increased the set dimensions a bit to get the detail I had in my head. I added one more native, because I think there's plenty of room for it in this area. The top of the set is modular and there are also some movable parts, like the rock that hides a golden trophy or the secret door at the back of the cave. In the cave are the skeletons of a couple of stranded pirates and the skulls of two natives who died in battle. Instagram Flickr
  11. Do you have anything concrete, because you haven't written anything so far, and I'm wondering what the problem is, whether or not I should ignore this competition. Have you contacted the organiser about this? What did he say?
  12. The two layers of water are necessary because the tiles of the right size for the floor area were not available in this colour. So with the bottom layer and the plates underneath, I can make sure that the elements don't splatter during the actual construction. I like this solution anyway, which is why I use it so much. It will be the same for the project I'm working on now. And I promise, I will have a project where I solve the shore with a non-slope 😉
  13. Thank you! Yes, it is a bit big compared to the original, which also had no cannon, no more figures, no crocodile. That's why I didn't do it either. There was a boat in the original, but I left it out because it wouldn't have fit in the water, and if I put it next to it, it would have been a problem. I also thought about the cannon, but that didn't fit either, except on the pier, but I didn't like that. You can't remove the top of the rock any better because it's built on a cast-in formal rock element and it's designed that way. I took the complete rock wall off for the picture, but I'll see how this could be done in real life, but it will certainly increase the number of elements. I think about this every time I build a rock face, switching to DBG where sea water is supposed to touch it. But then I just don't like it that way. So it always stays LBG. I couldn't squeeze more things onto the island, so even sometimes it feels crowded.
  14. I didn't want to write for someone else's project at all, because I'm competing too, but this turned out great! This set could not have been done any better. I love it! 👍😉🏴‍☠️🍻
  15. Thank you very much! 😉🏴‍☠️🍻👍
  16. Hello! This time I reworked the 6254 Rocky Reef set for the Classic Pirates tournament. There are two pirates and a skeleton in the set. The island and the cave were once inhabited by natives, but the pirates felt it would be a great island to hide their treasure and took over the place. The only traces of the ancient inhabitants are the small totem detail left at the back of the cave and the skeleton in the cave. Of course, what pirates would they be if they didn't have a little place to hide an emerald right now. The roof of the cave can also be removed for playability, and there is a small jetty on the island, if you bring supplies for the two pirates by boat, you can untie it. Instagram Flickr
  17. Thank you very much! 👍😎🏴‍☠️🍻
  18. Thank you! 👍😎🏴‍☠️🍻 I thought about a simpler way to cover it, but I didn't like it, it was too retro for me.
  19. Thank you! 😉👍🏴‍☠️🍻
  20. Thank you very much! 😀🏴‍☠️😎🍻👍 I try to use only items that are obtainable if someone ever builds one of these MOCs. That's why the base of the cannon is red, because you can currently buy it on the lego site when it's in stock. I made the wall that way on purpose, so it wouldn't be so boring, to have some different building technique. It might not be the best, but I like it. Nah this element of the MOC was totally born out of necessity. I didn't want to put a treasure chest in the set at first, but then again, what kind of kalo "farmhouse" is it without treasure? I also don't like it when it's so tiled, but here as I built it up in layers to cover the chest, I liked it more and more. I also did it with slope at the end, but I really didn't like that. That's why it stayed that way in the end.
  21. Thank you very much! 😉🏴‍☠️👍🍻 Yes, it was included because of the original set and because several people have already indicated that they don't recognize the previous sets. If nothing else, this is now easily identifiable from the black wall. To which you might as well say that the garrison has been burnt to a cinder and that's all that's left. The black wall and the palm leaf roof. 😎 Otherwise, dbg might be better instead of black.
  22. Thank you! 😉👍🍻🏴‍☠️ Yellow is a substitute for straw, not bedding. Which I do with tan in general, but it wouldn't work here because of the colour of the sand. The cannon is just like that. And I think lego would release one just like that, just include the remaining two wheels in the package. I used light green everywhere on purpose, because before I only used plain green. I like to have a variety of vegetation colors. Next project will be plain green again, mixed with very minimal light green.
  23. Thank you very much! I was also wondering about the design of the island, whether it will be good or not? But so far the problem was that I was using too many elements, so now I limited the number of elements and the beach is the result. I don't think I will change the fire, because I like it and it is simple but good. I'm also not varying the sand layer colour because then there would be more elements or it would be a problem that it doesn't look like a factory set (I don't think the sabre island set is what the competition is advertised as either). I was actually wondering what goes into the pot, just putting it in. But maybe that wasn't exactly a good choice either 😀.
  24. Thank you! 😉👍🏴‍☠️🍻 Thank you! I hadn't thought of that. But I will use that idea next time. 😉🏴‍☠️🍻
