  1. I absolutely love the story, despite its brevity, because the concept is absolutely good. My only criticism is probably the cannon on the boat. I would have used a smaller built cannon (you can see ideas on youtube), as it takes up a significant amount of the cargo space.
  2. First of all, thank you so much for liking it, it's always nice to hear that or see the likes that others like what I build. You may be right, it didn't occur to me that Steve might take his clothes off for a swim, but then again, he got so excited that he found a gold bar that he didn't care if his clothes got wet because the gold had to be hidden 😂. The building is already larger than in the original 1795 set. But I thought that was enough. Thank you very much! 😉👍🏴‍☠️🍻 Thank you very much to you too! 😉🏴‍☠️🍻 The yellow wall is a clear reference to the old 1795 Imperial Cannon set. Look for it, look at pictures of it and see why it has the yellow wall. Back then, the style of military buildings was to mix saga and white. Just like the new Eldorado set. Have a good one Captain! 😉🍻🏴‍☠️
  3. I'm looking at this entry and I'm wondering how I would have done it differently, but I have to say I don't think so. It's all very well thought out. I would probably have built it to the proportions of the minifig statue (90398 in studio). A huge congratulations to your little girl, very creative, very clever! 😉👍🏴‍☠️
  4. Thank you for writing your opinion. I chose this colour for the palm tree and the vegetation because I really like it. More beautiful in person than in pictures. Unfortunately, I'm not good at photo retouching. You might be right about the yellow wall, although I think that just shows how bad a state the place was left in. The cannon was left there because they left in a hurry and even that was not worth taking. They were facing a brutal enemy they had never encountered before. That is why escape was a higher priority than the cannon. Glad you like the MOC 😎😉🍻🏴‍☠️
  5. Steve's Hideout (UPDATE) [ENG] This set was originally a redesigned version of the 1795 Imperial Cannon. Then I saw this Classic Pirates challenge and thought I'd enter with the peace of mind of the underdog. I slightly modified the set to fit the callout. I hope you guys like it and vote for it. There is, of course, a golden rod hidden on this island. Story: Steve has been a merchant ship captain for many many years. He has always been reliable and has been the most punctual transporter despite the weather obstacles. He knew the sea perfectly. He survived huge storms, avoided many battles. But today, a new and brutal enemy had struck, and so she could not escape her doom. On one occasion he was on a detour route to port when his ship was shrouded in fog. Knowing the sea, he sailed on and only belatedly realised that this fog was in fact the remnants of a gigantic battle. The multitude of shipwrecks indicated that this was a gigantic battle. The silhouette of a ship was silhouetted in the fog, but before he could identify it, the ship had opened fire. His swift ship tried to dodge, but he had no chance. The incoming cannonballs tore the small ship apart mercilessly. Another volley of shells brought in the fatal shot and the ship was swamped. The only survivor was the captain. For days he was tossed about at sea among the remains of the battle. He pulled himself up on a large piece of wood and left his life in the drift. His great good fortune was to be cast towards a small island. He knew the place. It used to be a small outpost for imperial soldiers. It had been abandoned for a long time, and its condition showed. But his luck had not deserted the captain here, for the remains of the battle were drifting nearby, and he was able to get some rum, food, and weapons. He even found the flag of his ship, which he pinned to the remains of the building to mark this as his territory. Maybe one day a ship will come by and rescue him so he can sail the seas again as he once did. [HUN] Ez a készlet eredetileg a 1795-ös Imperial Cannon újragondolt változata. Tökéletesen ismerte a tengert. A becsapódó ágyúgolyók könyörtelenül megtépázták a kis hajót. Yes, I know Steve's outfit has changed, but I have other plans for this version, which is why I was forced to do this. But that doesn't stop him from being Steve!
  6. In fact, I didn't see it on instagram, but in a facebook group where the original creator was not identified. However, I did not say a word about the idea being mine. I saw a picture and tried to make it based on that. The original was better, of course. What you linked is not the original either, just saying. Because the one I saw had no instructions and a pirate figure behind it. So I guess we still don't know who the original creator is. Now that I've watched this tutorial, mine wasn't designed that way, and it would have been really nice to see that, to see me building my own version by recognizing the elements and experimenting.
  7. Thank you! 😉👍🏴‍☠️🍻 Everything is expensive these days unfortunately, but I see what you mean. Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge of parts prices to put these mocs together for the cheapest price accordingly. I wrote above about the green jacket ones and why they became that. But I understand if you don't like them. It's a forced pitch for me too actually. The thing is, this boating entrance feature was also left out of the design, and that's why it wasn't included. Also, because the skull was too big and I think it would have been net idiotic if it had rotated. Thank you! 😉🏴‍☠️👍🍻 The arch was not originally red. But when I made the windows red, to give a little reference to the 3 in 1 pirate ship, or the pub that could be built from it, I changed it to red. That was probably a mistake, but I might fix that later.
  8. Thanks! 😉 I don't use this kind of flag. I'll have a custom flag with another pattern and render a new picture of it. 👍😉
  9. Yes, I've been ignoring this because I didn't want to limit myself with the elements, but I could see this wouldn't be a bad thing to launch in a Bricklink Designer promram. That's why I decided to do this. But I'm going to make one improvement in it, by replacing the flags with unique ones. That might be allowed by the Designer program.
  10. Thank you! 😉🏴‍☠️🍻 Just a quick reply. Soldiers are like this and pirates are like this because this project was made with the Bricklink Designer Program palette, so that I might enter it in the next stage if it comes to that. But I'm not sure if all the elements will match them, but we'll see. So this palette is extremely limited in colour, elements, accessories. That's why the pirates are like that and that's why there's no hats on anybody, because for example there's no pirate hats in it, just plain black. The hats, the caps are not what I would like, that's why I put hair on everybody. You're right about needing a different kind of flag for the soldiers but since that is also totally limited to a plain white one, I didn't want to put that in.
  11. Thank you very much! 😉🏴‍☠️🍻👍😎 I knew I was missing something. So far it's been about every entry. The crane is missing here, although I have to say it would look silly if it were here. That would have required building one side differently. But I left out the rotating rock on purpose. With a head that size, even Schwarzenegger wouldn't move it, let alone a drunken pirate 😂. Yes, you can't sail in here. I originally had this idea in my head, but the first skulls turned out so lame that I started a bigger, nicer version based on a MOC I found online. I copied the nose part and built the rest myself. So it got too big, with a large number of elements, that I didn't want the cave to be big enough to fit a boat.
  12. Hello! I thought again about set 6279. It was one of the first islands where pirates used to keep their assembled treasures. It got its name from the skull carved into the rock (and painted white for some mysterious reason). They are in a fever over a small boat that has gone astray, even the captain stumbles out of his abode, albeit in a slightly illuminated state. There are two cavern "doors" leading into the rock, and the skull itself can be removed for playability. The set is modular and the roof of the building is removable, and the rest of the residence can be removed in two sections to reach into the cave from above. 3 cannons protect the island. True, these are not big cannons, but they can be effective enough. Some may notice that only yellow flowers cover the island, where there are flowers. There is a very simple reason for this. Yellow is the captain's favourite colour, and he has systematically wiped out all the other colours of flowers, leaving only the yellow ones. In addition to the treasures, a skeleton of a man who was once one of the captain's men is hanging at the front of the cave. But unfortunately he got greedy and encouraged his companions to mutiny. The captain quickly put an end to this mutiny and had this man executed and hanged. Since then, no one has attempted such a thing. You can also go to the top of the cliff where the only woman is currently standing. She's the one spying through the telescope at sea for the enemy. She signals with her pistol in her hand if she sees an intruder. Flickr Instagram
  13. Thank you! 😉🏴‍☠️👍🍻 Finally someone who isn't crying about double layer water 😂😂😂. Well, there were no walls in the original one and to be honest I didn't plan on it either, though not for that reason. I see this island as just a little hideaway, a little resting place for pirates. It's not in the set, but I imagine it shouldn't have walls because pirate ships are constantly circling not far from the island. By the way, this little island was inspired by such small islands in the Assassins Creed Black Flag game, and there were no walls or defensive traps there either, it's not the Predator movie 😂😂. I think it's a bit crowded and I don't think it would have fit much more. Well a very high percentage of mocs are too good for an official set. As is the 2000+ piece sabre island in the promo, I think from SleeplessKnight. I ignore this because for me not only the initial pirate sets but also the ones released in the last ore are too simple and cheesy. Now here is this challenge and you can show me how I would imagine it. And since Lego has gotten into this 18+ line, I think they could easily release even a more complex set like this. See Barracuda Bay or the current Eldorado Fortress. Of course, it's my own fault that I now like to build in such a way that if the soldier needs to go up to the tower, he doesn't have to teleport, but can go up the stairs or ladder. And this approach only increases the number of pieces. But I like it that way 😉🏴‍☠️. Thank you! 😉🏴‍☠️👍🍻 I still have a few more ideas I'd like to submit, when I'm done I'll be happy to take some pictures of them all together. 😉
  14. At first I didn't understand what grey flowers you were talking about, but then I realised that you meant the flower that is white. 😉🏴‍☠️
  15. Ah, I see! I thought modern referred to having a modern look, like the Barracuda. But then if it could be any pirate kit, I didn't say so. Thanks for the reply! 👍😉🏴‍☠️
  16. Not to tease you, but the rules say you can process classic sets up to 97. This is a 2015 set. So is this now a regular entry? " Briefing 1. Design a new Classic-Style set Imagine you're a designer working for the LEGO Group and you've been tasked with designing a brand new classic-style LEGO Pirate set. The emphasis is building a creation that could pass as an official LEGO set. The design could be pure classic 1989-1997 style or modern like Barracuda Bay. But remember! Official LEGO sets have a more limited part count than MOCs and the onus is to convince everyone your creation is an official set."
  17. Thank you! 👍😉🏴‍☠️🍻
  18. Thank you! 😉👍🏴‍☠️🍻 I guess you noticed that these small docks are not designed for boats at all. In fact, if you've seen a movie of this kind back in the day, you'll know that these small islands are not docked by big ships, but by boats. And so it makes sense. But you may have missed the fishing rod on the side of the little jetty. Because that's what the angler uses most of the time. So I also disagree that Lego wouldn't release something like that, because for example they did now, if you look at the new Eldorado Fortress taken apart, it will have two docks. You know one of the things about building a moc is to use elements that no one else would think of or consider appropriate. Such is the case with this horn. In this color, it's part of the rock that has been shaped over the years into this shape by the rising waves. But to give an example. The armrests on the chairs in the not-too-old Rivendell are made of sausage. No, there's no secret there any more. 😀
  19. There are no more pieces of the sunken ship because it would not have fit, and it was swept away by the current. The description also said that the soldiers would deliver pay to the pirates for certain jobs. There are situations where they don't want to confront the enemy directly, so they hire the pirates to do a job.
  20. Honestly I don't want to be the one who's tying the knot, but how is it now? One is a gwp set, but I don't see any modifications on it from the picture. But even if there is it is minimal. I think it would be fair if you didn't put a gwp in, but figured out something new on your own. Obviously this shouldn't be a problem as you did the other parts, but this gwp is very not ok in my opinion.
  21. Hello! This time I combined two classic sets, Pirate Treasure 1873 and Smuggler's Shanty 6258. This is a small island where life goes on and there are traces of greed and a few skeletons to show for it. There are also several hiding places to stash your loot, gold bars and gold coins. Soldiers about to dock bring the pirates their pay for a job well done. On the island there is a fisherman who sells his wares, a tavern of course, a shelter for the captain, a defensive cannon to keep out intruders, at least until the pirates escape. But are there still drunks lying on the beach who can't understand how the rum ran out again? And let's not forget the old man pushing his wages on the little cart, waving to the barman that he'll soon be able to pour another batch of wine. Flickr Instagram
  22. You don't need wheels because it's a dilapidated garrison in a bad state. It's exactly the sort of cannon that would fit.
  23. Thank you! 🏴‍☠️👍🍻 I've tried to explain why there are two layers of water several times, I won't do it again. There are two, you have to accept it and that's it 😀. In the next entry it's done differently, although there are still two layers. I don't like this new solution so much, but I am forced to build it this way.
  24. Thank you! 👍😉🏴‍☠️ That's the point, there's a lot of foliage and it covers the little one in the cave. If it were visible, they would rob nutless pirate so badly that all he would have left is that one hidden gold bar. 😀
  25. But this set is not about shipwrecks. Even the original I would say is the remains of a small garrison, rather than a shipwreck with pieces of a ship. The walls will stay black, that's for sure! 😉😎
