  1. I'm currently thinking about using the Pink Power Batgirl's cape - assuming the color is right - which should be fairly inexpensive. Otherwise, Lockheart's cape could also potentially work... Though that one is a lot more expensive.
  2. Man... Orion looks a little worse in the high quality image over the low-quality one - and he's about the only one I was really excited for. I'm not a fan of the hair, the club looks too smooth and almost looks like a water balloon or bag, and I don't like his goofy grin at all. What a shame... Other than that... I think they mostly look okay. It's not really something that appeals to me overall, but I can see why other people would be excited. Retro Space Woman might now be my favorite (though that gun is a disgrace and I'll be giving her a cape), and I kind of like Nurse PIXAL and the UFO Costume Guy. But, for the most part, it's a miss for me.
  3. I just got caught up on X-Men 97' - and, golly, they have NAILED it. More emotion and real-world parallels then just about anything coming out of Marvel for years. If the quality continues for the other episodes, this could be one of my favorite series of TV since ATLA. X-Mansion set info (or at least the minifig lineup) WHEN?!?!
  4. Dang - those are some nice looking critters! Hopefully the prices for them won't be too expensive... I imagine the red panda and baby gorilla will be in the $2-3 range, with the tiger being around $7-10ish. Hopefully the adult gorilla won't be too expensive... Maybe $6-8 for the body, and $2-4 for each arm? I think that should be in line roughly with what's out on Pick a Brick with other roughly similar critters.
  5. That could have been the case - I honestly didn't look at it too in depth after I learned that the parts I really wanted were cancelled, and therefore just cancelled the whole thing.
  6. Saw looks weirdly green to me - though, I guess he has greener armor in some iterations. I guess I had in my head that it would be closer to black, though that could also just be me Mandela-ing what he should look like.
  7. I would've thought so, but it showed that I needed to pay $5 for shipping.
  8. I just got a refund for the sheep, piglets, and calf I ordered as well. Only thing left from my order is the adult cows - but it dropped it below the shipping threshhold, so I'll cancel it. Darn...
  9. No small sets this time? The smallest part count is 1933 pieces! I was hoping that the Snack Shack and the Mushroom House were a sign of things to come, but I guess not... I would have loved a Viking Ship. I do find it interesting that most of these ones come from designers that have already had successful submissions. Maybe it's just a sign that they're really good designers, and Lego knows they can work with them? Overall, though, I feel like this is retreading a lot of ground that has already been seen. A big boat. A train. Castles. And so on. I might be able to spring for one of the Castle sets, but I feel a lot less excited for this wave than I have for previous ones.
  10. You're correct - it got four. And, if you count polybags, lots of other Marvel movies also got four sets, including the first and second Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man 3, and Civil War. Same for Batman v Superman.
  11. Oh, yeah, duh... I forgot about the space series coming out soon, and thought these were back-to-back. Either way, hopefully that mold can get reused and recolored into black and/or grey.
  12. What is it with CMFs leaking months in advance nowadays? We'll have images of whatever is coming in January by July, at this rate! I don't play DnD, but, wow, these look fantastic! Lots of great details, and it should be easy to swap parts to get them all yellow. I'll be getting at least one full set, though I might try to find a couple of the halfling with antlers - He's probably me favorite of the bunch, along with the bard and the witch in the bottom right. Also - is that a new wing piece for not-Eris? If so, it's a shame that piece couldn't have been used for the Harpy... Hopefully it will get recolors in a lot of other sets soon!
  13. I'm usually not one to advocate for polybag-exclusive minifigs... But, in this case, I would be okay if Maple stayed exclusive to the polybag. There's only two more sets slated for the rest of the year, and there's hundreds of other villagers that could be made. I could maybe see Nook or Isabelle reappearing with some other outfit, but I think two Maples is too much, with as many villagers (let alone NPCs) as there are still to go.
  14. Thanks for the heads-up! I wonder if it's a "clearance" sale, like with some of the torsos a few months ago. I'll have to get some once I get home - especially a few sheep, if I can!
  15. Well, I suppose that they wanted to montinize it somehow (especially beyond just skins), but this is really lame. Then again, I fell off of Lego Fortnite fairly quickly and this won't really affect me, so I can't complain too much. I still find it bizarre that we still don't have any official word on real life sets, though...
  16. Which reminds me... Why did we never get a Peni Parker? Sure, there were never official tie-in sets for INSV, but after that came out we very quickly got the other main spiders-folk in other sets. It always felt odd that she never got made - especially since she would make for a great mech set, which Lego loves!
  17. Crazy how, in just a day and a half, all of these sets are on a 60 day backorder from lego.com! I'm sure that stinks for people who want to get their hands on them (I'm a part of that, at least for the Fauna/Isabelle set), but I hope that it also shows Lego just how popular and profitable this theme can be. Keep them coming, Lego! As far as who we get next... Hard to say! I think trying to guess based on the personality types won't work, though - they weren't exactly evenly spread for the first wave, and other themes (like D&D or Star Wars imperial officers) don't have all of their "variants" covered as a priority, either. I also imagine that we will continue to get new molds in addition to reused ones, so we're not necessarily locked to just getting cubs/squirrels/rabbits/deer/cats in the next wave. Heck, Julian is probably a one-off mold anyways, since the other horses don't have his signature horn! I'm also not sure what the two August sets will be, at 292 and 550 pieces. I think the bigger one will be with Able Sisters or the Museum, to be a companion to Tom Nook's. The smaller 292 piece set could be anything, though. Just give me a January minifigure series for Animal Crossing, and I'll be estatic!
  18. Isabelle's House Visit is already on backorder. Everything else seems to be going strong though! I decided to get the Isabelle's House Visit and Bunnie's Outdoor Activities. I imagine that these could sell out quick, and between some cashback, a gift card, and the two GWP's, it was just enough to convince me to get them now. Edit: The Julian set is now on Backorder as well. Edit 2: The Bunnie is the next set to be on Backorder. They seem to be selling pretty well! Edit 3: Kapp'n's on Backorder now! Only the Tom Nook/Rosie set is readily available. The only other new set that's on backorder is the Tantive IV. Hopefully this is a sign of the theme doing well, and it'll get more support in future waves!
  19. If anyone's getting on right now to get the Medieval Town Square, Student Beans is giving codes for the Blacktron Cruiser (free with $190 Purchase). For the USA region, at least.
  20. $50/45 Euros on Friends, Animal Crossing, Creator, City or Dreamzzz to get both of the polybag (The Friends polybag is 30635) Additionally, there's a second GWP, a mini flower shop, that can be earned with $200/170 Euros, any category. Both of these will go from the 1st to the 10th, depending on stock.
  21. Just a few days until these release! I'm feeling pretty excited. Part of me is tempted to get the Isabelle/Fauna set and the Bunnie set on release day from Lego.com, which (if the rumors are true) would be enough to hit the threshold to get a free Maple polybag (and a Friends bag). The Isabelle/Fauna set feels like the best "bang for your buck" set in the wave for me, and I like the Bunnie set the most out of the smaller sets. I'm not really interested in the Julian set (maybe I'll get the minifig if I can find him cheap), and I'm not quite feeling the Marshall/Kapp'n set (Either a sale, or maybe get the minifigs separate). I do like the Tom Nook/Rosie set, but it also feels expensive compared to the others... Maybe I can find it on a sale, or do some trades with my Bricks & Minifigs to bring down the price a bit. Anyone else have any "buying plans" for these?
  22. With the program now closed, neither General Store nor Parisian Street maxed out their sales. General Store sold a respectable 78.044 percent (leaving about 6,600 sets "unsold"), with Parisian Street at only 58.18 percent sold (12,500 "unsold"). I honestly think that most sales came from the first few days, and definitely not many after the first week. Interesting to look at, and I'm curious to see what will be chosen in Wave 5!
  23. I just got through The Brothers Brick review. It has comparison shots with the old MMV and the Blacksmith, if that would help anyone figure out the scale. The MMV is certainly older, but it still somehow feels only a little smaller than the MTS to me? Seeing that sticker sheet is rough, though. I'm willing to admit that some things would have been stickers regardless, but if a piece can reasonable by reused in other sets, or is used multiple times in a set, I think there's an arguments for it to be printed. If the shutters, letters, and the tax collector book were printed, I could probably accept the rest, but not having those printed feels a little penny-pinching from Lego to me. Overall... I'd say it's a fine set. Probably an 8 out of 10, maybe a 7 - by no means a slam dunk, and I'm still going to wait for a GWP/sale to get it. But, it's at least still on my radar!
  24. I also noticed that Captain Rex's shoulder cape is also on there (though out of stock). I wonder if that was a mistake, or if it will actually be added?
  25. Teases usually come a day or two before reveal, so I think a reveal Tuesday or Wednesday would make sense. I am surprised this is getting teased (and potentially revealed) this month, though. I feel like it's announcement is going to overshadow the Medieval Town Square, since they fill a similar medieval niche for a lot of people. I probably would have waited until after MTS released to show this off... But Lego does reveals at odd times! (See: Animal Crossing)
