  1. Nah - I think it could easily be a two-pack of Aang and Katara (or maybe Zuko). A five-pack at this point doesn't make sense, since Toph won't be around until next season (unless I missed something). Still, my brain is telling me that it probably won't be ATLA... Even though my heart really wants it to be!
  2. I think a part of it is also that Lego is trying to do less highly desired, hard-to-get minifigs only available at certain times and places (like the Comic-Con Figures and May 4th Polybags). I have a vague memory that someone from Lego might have even directly stated that? I could be misremembering though. Now, that obviously isn't an all-inclusive statement or anything - rarity sells and all, and some minifigs stay exclusive to their multi-hundred dollar sets - but there are probably more instances of minifigs like Omega, Rex, and even the goat, available to the masses in more sets at a cheaper price down the line. It even has the snowball effect of keeping the prices of these minifigs down on the aftermarket - I don't know if that is Lego's intention or not, but it is an interesting consequence. I personally love the shift, intentional or not. It makes it a lot more affordable to get those minifigs in either their mass-produced retail sets at MSRP, or somewhere on the aftermarket, which equates to more sales on Lego's end (and increases brand loyalty/less of a desire to get offbrand substitutes, like I may need to do for Zeb). Eh, I'm probably just overthinking the whole situation... As long as I can find Fives for a fair price on Bricklink, I'm good.
  3. Plus the fact that some people will want 2+ copies of the set in order to make the hallway wider and/or longer, which could lead to even more Fives floating around Bricklink. As someone who just wants Fives and doesn't want to buy the whole set, that's a welcome scenario that I could see happen.
  4. I doubt that this movie will be a part of the "The LEGO Movie" franchise - IE, no tie-ins with Emmett, Will Arnett Batman, etc. I think it's just a film that happens to use Lego as a stylistic choice to tell the story. So, I doubt there will be many parallels with any of the Warner Bros Lego movies - including any kind of a minifig series. Heck, the poster even has printing under the arms of the minifigure - something that doesn't exist on any standard minifig. That's arguably more evidence that there might not be any real bricks made to release with the movie.
  5. That could also be the case... But even then, I don't know if Lego has done many DVD-exclusive minifigs for the past 5+ years (only a few in some books, I think?). Maybe a polybag, with no exclusive parts that could also be a retail set? I've got no idea...
  6. I mean, I don't think it can be ruled out entirely, but at the same time... What would those minifigs even be? Just Williams in 12 different outfits? That would ben even more niche than the DBF or 2012 Olympics series. I'll admit that I don't know much about the guy (and I subsequently don't care about the movie at all), but I just don't see how a 12-minifig series would work there. A one-off Icons set (or something like that) would probably make more sense. (And it very well could be that nothing comes from it - other Lego media exists without direct tie-in sets, like some of the Star Wars and Marvel shorts on Disney+) I still think it will be either Fortnite or Animal Crossing - but I probably won't worry about any more speculation until we hear something more concrete.
  7. I'll drink some copium with the rest of y'all and hope that Buffalo is ATLA, with the "girl-centric" hint meaning that one of the sets will be based on the Kyoshi Warriors (with the other set being Appa). Scatter the Gaang between both sets (something like Suki/Sokka/Zuko/Aang with Kyoshi, and Katara/Aang/Momo/Zhao with Appa) to increase sales, and boom, easy win for everyone. And the live-action actors looks pretty close to the cartoon in most cases, so it could appeal to both crowds. And it's not like Lego has never been behind in releasing sets for a popular IP - just look at Animal Crossing. That being said, I could easily see them being random IPs that few of us have much care for, a-la Gabby's Dollhouse.
  8. Got my two full boxes from Minifig Madness today. All of them had the larger codes, and I was able to find six full sets without issue. Good luck to y'all looking for Basil! I got lucky and was able to find him at Walmart, in the very back of the bin with only a few boxes left.
  9. Sorry if that was a misattribution! I was just going off of a post on Reddit r/legoleak, so that may have gotten lost in the transition. Again, my apologies! ...Unless if you're trying to imply that there's more (or less) minifigs than just those three ? Outside of the Hestu and Koroks also from the original survey, of course.
  10. ... I should have thought about that one. That would actually make perfect sense for Wave 2!
  11. Are you trying to say that Animal Crossing (the second highest selling game on the Switch, at over 43 million copies) and Fortnite (one of the most popular free-to-play games on any platform) aren't "huge properties with a big fan base and a large number of collectables sold already"? I think your last point is moot anyways. Aside from the fact that Animal Crossing and Fortnite have both had figurines sold in the form of Amiibo, Funko Pops, Shokugan, Hasbro, etc... How many "collectables" of Simpsons, Muppets, or Looney Toons were sold, let alone sales numbers Lego would have had access to, in order to greenlight any of those series?
  12. The first Simpsons minifig series released in May 2014 - the only other Simpsons stuff to release before it was the Simpsons house, which released February 2014. So, it has happened before. Heck, the two Marvel series have had figures in them that didn't even have their connecting shows released before their minifig series released.
  13. Both of those sound a bit small for the museum or Town Hall... I don't have any huge guesses for what they could be. It probably depends on if the line will be inspired by New Horizons, older titles, or tease whatever new Animal Crossing game comes next. With as many unique critters as are in Animal Crossing, I think they would try to not do a ton of repeats outside of main characters, even if they are from polybags. I could be wrong, though.
  14. I might be one of those people who would need to get in on that, haha. The most I might be able to spring for a set like this would be around $100... Maybe $150, if it also has Navi, Hestu, and several Koroks like in the leaked photo from last year. I don't think I would be able to spring for any $200+ Zelda sets unless if it was some kind of massive Hyrule castle, loaded with minifigs for Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, and several enemies. $300 is just too much, sorry... In all seriousness, though, I really do hope that a smaller, cheaper line comes shortly, especially now that several new molds have been produced and "paid for." Just having the tree would be like just having a UCS X-Wing being the only Star Wars set, with no smaller X-wing on the market for people with smaller budgets/space. Both of them have their own audiences, and I don't even think it would even hurt each other's sales significantly, especially if the larger set has exclusive/detailed minifigs and the cheaper set has more common, less detailed minifigs. You can't tell me a $35 set with Link raiding a bokoblin camp, or a $50 small dungeon room with a Darknut, wouldn't fly off shelves. Ah, well...
  15. A few other details about the Zelda set from TandNbricks: Cost: $300 Includes a new shield element The "2 in 1" means that one version of the tree will be from Breath of the Wild, with the other from Ocarina of Time. Comes with a Zelda logo Minifigs: Link in a green outfit with medium legs (based on OoT) Link and Zelda in blue outfits with normal legs (based on BotW) Man... That price really takes it out of my range then. It's especially annoying, since I feel like that price could have been lowered if the tree wasn't 2 in 1 and had (what I assume to be) a buildable logo on the side. Ah, well, I'll just have to look at this one from a distance...
  16. Oh, gosh... I'm so torn. On the one hand... OMG, it's actually happening! I'm super glad that this set is finally being made. Based on the quality of the Animal Crossing minifigs, I'm sure that whatever the finalized minifigs are will be fantastic. Hopefully this will also lead to some other sets! On the other hand... Golly, $250 (assuming the 2500 part count is correct) is a big chunk of change just for a tree. My childhood Zelda was Twilight Princess, so I don't have any strong attachment towards the Deku Tree (I only know about the character from BoTW/TotK - I have yet to play Ocarina of Time). If this was a smaller $100 diorama or playset, then it might be in my price range, whether it was tree-centric or not.. $250 though? That's a bit much. Again, hopefully some smaller sets can come from this once the Link/fairy/sword/whatever molds are made, because I don't think I will be able to get any Lego Legend of Zelda stuff (I can only imagine what the minifigs will go for on Bricklink). I do wonder what will happen with Donald though... I think this set got the most "meh" reception, so I don't think a ton of people would be sad if it got scrapped. It could very well jsut be released later this year, though.
  17. I'll add my support for either a Fortnite or Animal Crossing series. I'd probably get a full set of either one.
  18. Glad you were able to find one as well! And that is my plan currently - I have little affinity for Friends stuff (especially the older sets), and based on pricing a few things out on Bricklink, I should easily be able to make that $80 back, if not more. The "budget" for the GWP might have only allowed for one new print - if that is the case, I think it would have been just as odd to get a new shield with a plain torso. That, and in some ways, it makes more sense to have several new shields in the set featuring a shield-smith. I could very well be wrong, though. I guess I also didn't think about the faction choice potential clashing - I'm a Fantasy Era/Crown Knights guy, so I don't think twice about dragons or magical elements in my setups. My only true prediction for knights in Medieval Town Square (since I assume there will at least be a few): someone will not be happy with the choice.
  19. Interestingly, that seems to mostly line up with my earlier theory of four sets of three: Sub out one of your duplicate Vampire Knights in the first box for a Train Boy, and it works.
  20. The Lion Knight Castle isn't currently set to retire until the end of 2025 (according to the leaks). So, I think the earliest some kind of new D2C Castle set would be early-to-mid-2026 or so. That would parallel the retirement and release of the Blacksmith and the Medieval Town Square in a way. As far as animals and minifigs for Medieval Town Square goes... Honestly, a new horse color is one of the last things that is on my list. I've already got several, and I'd much rather use that budget on a recolor of a different animal/new peasant torso. I'd much rather get, for example, a grey sheep or brown goat over a new color of horse personally (though I would love the new horse with printing that has horse blinds, like the one in Mill Village Raid). I'm also hopeful that a majority of the budget goes towards new peasant prints and not much goes towards knights - maybe reuse the one from Majesto, and possibly one other one, but I don't need any few factions or anything like that. Let the peasants be the stars of the set! Other animals and knights can potentially come in other sets - this might be peasant's one and only time to shine for the next decade. As an aside, I was favored by the Lego gods recently and was actually able to find a copy of Mill Village Raid on Marketplace, plus about 20 other Creator/Friends sets, for only $80 where my brother lives. I'll have to wait to see it myself until March, but it at least has the buildings, the horse, the pig, and one goat (no idea about the second goat or any minifigs, my brother didn't check). I'll happy add that to my Village once I can get my hands on it! I'm tempted, but don't think I can afford it sadly. I'll probably keep an eye out on all of the preorders on that day and see how quickly it goes, and if it looks like it might sell out as fast as Castle in the Forest, I might try to get a preorder in. I'll play it by ear, though.
  21. Ooh... These ones sound exciting! I probably won't get any sets, but hopefully I can get some of these from Pick a Brick around November or something. Especially the tiger... the going price on Bricklink for those in crazy!
  22. I'm pretty sure the X-Mansion is still on the slate.
  23. I find it very odd that so many people are being so doom-and-gloom about Medieval Town Square. The two most controversial "classic Remake" sets - Eldorado Fortress and the Majesto GWP - were more or less recreations of their original versions, even sharing names with them. If the set was called "Guarded Inn" or something along those lines, then sure, I could see some people having issues. As far as I'm concerned, though, those early leaks make the set look sufficiently large, the minifig descriptions sounded promising, and we've only got a month or so to wait until we get to know for sure what it looks like. Sure, maybe the animal count will be a little under what most people are predicting, but I feel perfectly content with what's been teased, and feel optimistic for the set to come out.
  24. I'm not as big into Marvel stuff, but a midi-scale Helicarrier sounds like it could be cool. Also interested in what the two Battle sets will look like. I imagine the $60 one would either be Tony vs Thor in the forest (with possibly Cap and Loki), or the iconic circling shot of all 6 Avengers in the Battle of New York.
  25. He also reported that Storm was in the X-Jet, and earlier, spread debunked rumors about a $250 Fortnite Battle Bus and a Modular strip club. Not a reliable source at all.
