What next? Stone warriors? Not sure what I want as far as villains go, but I would like to see some cultural influences. Samurai are always cool. I'm just glad that the summer has a villain team and not just more beasts.

Been playing Lego Batman 3. But just recently finished Transistor and Valiant Hearts. Both are fantastic. Highly recommend playing both of them (I may actually play them again once I'm done with Batman, they were so good).

If you ask me, a spider that farts webs is a lot less cooler than one that spits them from its mouth. For fantasy spiders, anyway. Especially because that allows the spider to directly face its opponent without having to turn around to fire a web.

And there's the possibility that the gold/trans blend masks are non-canon and will have no significance at all. And they're there just because. But where's the fun in that.

Ironic that Gali's the only one who doesn't get a trans mask of any kind.

Love that boat. And just noticed that it has two rapid shooters that are joined together on one gear (turning one knob fires both rapid shooters at once). That's going to be fun.... And an easy way to lose studs.

Looks pretty sweet. Love all the promo booklets, and the map looks wonderful. Seems like it's a mix of realistic and cartoony that we haven't seen before. Too bad I'm in the US. I have to wait another month.

They all look great. Super happy with the Steampunk guys (Steam Team?). Especially the one with exhaust pipes for arms.

Now all we need is a Trickster minifig in the DC Superheroes lineup.

Intentional or not (most probably not, due to reasons you expressed), I still like how it turned out. Grinder sports the gappy torso better than anyone before.

Just wondering; have you ever thought about getting the pieces to re-make some of these MOCs? Maybe not the ones as massive as the dragon, but your Hero figures?

On the armor discussion: I feel that if a skeleton has armor, there should be a lot of empty space. Part of the reason why I really like what they did with Grinder. His chest and torso armor is extended out which leaves a lot open inside: the void that's left when tissue and inside squishy bits are gone. Anywho, the more I look at them, the more I like them. There's a nice variety among the sets, and they definitely look... Skeletal.

Grievous... Thank you Lego. Honestly, he's the only one I'm really interested in. Vader's in second, and Jango/Boba/Whoeverit'llbe is a maybe. The rest I really don't care about. Assuming Grievous is a large set, I'm even more excited. There's just more that can be done at a larger scale (most notably his arms splitting in half. *crosses fingers*)

I'm looking at Grinder and Warrior's masks side-by side and notice zero difference aside from color.

My biggest issue with Warrior having the same mask as Grinder is because I feel the big bad of the wave should have something unique. It just takes something away from him when a foot soldier uses the same mask as the leader. Not a huge issue, but still. You may argue about Fire Lord having the same helmet as Drilldozer, but that was a flip mask. the faces were still different.

Yay pictures! Warrior: Easily my least favorite. Fact that he re-uses the same mask as the main villain is also quite a disappointment (you'd think the main baddie would have an exclusive mask). On the other sets, I don't mind the orange, but here with the light blue... Eugh. Slicer: Doesn't look too bad, but also isn't the best. Don't mind the Skull Spider Mask, and the chest printing looks cool too. Scorpio. Liking him a bit more. The tail also seems to have a "pull trigger-tail snaps" function that I can totally dig. Not as bad as I was expecting. Basher: Looks good. Already voiced my opinion. Grinder: Definitely my fave. Ekimu looks good, and Grinder looks properly evil. Interesting shoulders as well. I think I'll end up getting Grinder, Basher, and probably Slicer or Scorpio. The others can wait.

lol. I love the divide in opinions. One post loves him, the next hates him. I love him, personally. That mask is absolutely gorgeous. I'm getting a Metallo vibe off of it, and that it wonderful. I also love the hints of Skull Spider on it as well with the forehead plating. Very cool. The new torso shell is also looking sweet as are the new bones. And there's definitely some sort of function with all that technic on his back. Also, grey/silver torso bone. I don't think we've gotten one of those before. Not much to say about Ekimu. Looks good, I guess.

Atamaii on Youtube said in the comments section of his Ninjago coverage that he'd be doing a video on Bionicle. Just gotta wait a little longer.

Yeah, the boat is a little shorter than I expected (needs to be about a third longer, if you ask me), but it's still nice. Can't really make out much, so not much to discuss.

I don't know how exclusive sets work when it comes to leaks/reveals, but is it possible that we could see another set or two that has the gold/trans blended masks for Tahu and Gali? I'll be bummed if we never see those released.

General Grievous or bust. Seriously, he'd probably be the best figure to make using Constraction. Super excited to hear this. Wasn't too into the Chima Ultrabuilds (or superheroes, for that matter), but Star Wars and Constraction sounds like it'll make a beautiful baby.

Thing is, the GWP Tahu mask is completely Trans Orange. These are all gold/trans blend. So... Still missing Tahu and Gali's masks. I guess the GWP mask could be a placeholder until we (potentially) get an actual blended one.

They look fantastic. Even Scorpio (though the tail is still obnoxiously large). And the blended masks are sweet, though I'm sad there aren't any for Gali or Tahu...

Been a while since I came to a Ninjago topic... But I just had to say that the summer sets look fan-flippin'-tastic. I'm not to keen on the "Snake Cultists" sets from this wave, so I doubt I'll get any of those. But wave 2... Oh man... Two super cool dragons, an updated Destiny's Bounty, and a pair of Mechs? Count me in.
