Voodoo Heads looks like it would have rocked. That walking ball and chain guy is nightmare fuel.

Nice one. I'm kinda sad that, despite how much I've looked I simply can't find any faces anywhere. :/

My current head canon says they were an ancient race, Pre-Protector species. They lived in the Ancient City until some stuff happened (war?) and they were wiped out. Only to be awakened from their endless slumber to retake what was once rightfully theirs!

You got it! Guess it wasn't as obscure as I thought. I really should watch that movie again. It's been a while.
-
Makes you happy we're getting what we're getting. Although I wouldn't mind owning that Space Wars Beelzebub robot. I kinda like the scale. And he even comes with a cape!
-
Alright, my go. Might be a bit too obscure. Not sure how well known this movie is...
-
Summer Wars, dude. Summer Wars. (oddly enough, I actually posted a shot of the same movie earlier in the topic) I'll wait to post a new screenshot until we get confirmation you were right with the previous guess ;)

I'm underwhelmed, though I did expect him to essentially be a Cody recolor. Sand blue is neat to see, but coming in such little amounts (by the looks of it) is disappointing. I think I'll save all my money for Grievous.
-
Oh man. Cody does look nice. Shame about the emptiness on the back of the legs, though. But I think the main highlight for me is the new shoulder armor. Loving the simplistic beauty of that piece.
-
Assuming these rumors are true (judging by the leg armor drawing looking exactly like the SW shin piece, I'd say there may be some merit to this), I look forward to them. Of course, they were in the early prelim stage, so I'm sure they'll quite different than what was seen. But a tan and purple guy with guns for hands? That sounds cool.

Yep. Totally sold on Grievous (as if I wasn't already). Seems like some interesting construction going on in the body. Color me hyped!
-
Another fantastic addition to the Nixel mechs! Makes me want to build some of my own.
-
Yeah, Grievous definitely needs his cape. Welp! Time to put my sewing skills to good use.
-
Not sure how good the shin guards would look for Bionicle. Just seems too Star Wars-y to me.

That is some sick concept art. Jungle and Earth Regions are easily my favs.

Oh wow. I was so focused on grievous that I didn't even notice Obi Wan's shoulder armor. Please bring that to Bionicle. Please. ... Hmm.... Y'know that shoulder armor might be pretty useful for female characters... It's got some nice curvature to it.

Grievous is perfection. Love it. If I'm getting any SW constraction, it's him.

Out of curiosity, what didn't you like?

From a story perspective, Ekimu is quite similar to Mata Nui. Ekimu is the important good guy and a big part of the Okotan society. His brother is Makuta (who later betrayed him). And then he was knocked out and put into a coma. Mata Nui: also an important good guy in Matoran society who had a (sort of?) brother named Makuta who betrayed him. And then he was knocked out and put into a coma. The basics are the same, and Ekimu is much more like Mata Nui than Takanuva. And that Mata Nui comparison seems to be what Lego was going for with G2. I was more thinking Ekimu would act as the character who has a lot of power and will join the team as a seventh member. Not necessarily going through the "young character becoming the hero" arc. Which I guess isn't very Takanuva-y at all, is it? :P

Hm. Interesting. The MoC looks pretty cool. Love how they used capes for Makuta's wings. As much as I'd love a G2 Takanuva, I can't help but shake the feeling that Ekimu will fill that role. Yeah, he seems like he's already the "Mata Nui" of G2, but being a physical character that can interact with the team and potentially be the 7th member sorta gives me Takanuva vibes.

Where/when was this? Also, I'm not looking too deep into the "baby Protector". I guarantee he/she won't play any large role in the future. I just don't see it happening.

In terms of the spiders' motives, it's possible they all work for (either directly or indirectly) Makuta. Figuring he wants the Golden Masks, then he'd send out his army of Spiders to get them for him. Also, the fact that Ekimu can speak to the Toa through their Gold Masks doesn't make it out of the question that Makuta could be doing the same with the Skull Spiders, or to a lesser extent, LOSS.

All I want is an episode-long battle between Ekimu and Skull Grinder. Then I'll be happy.

It's my dream to see a CCBS version of the Toa Mata foot. I love that design.

We got Bionicle back. If that's not Lego showing the fans love, I don't know what is.
