  1. I prefer re-using and recoloring molds. That's always been the point of Lego to me. See what you can make out of a bunch of rectangular bricks. And the same can be said for CCBS: see what you can out of a bunch of bones and shells. As for new molds, I feel they should be used when necessary or to add a certain effect. I mean, I like new molds for a freshness factor, but I also like to see what can be done with pre-existing parts. Just my two cents.
  2. Thanks! I looked around, and that's what it seems to be. If Bionicle Dimensions does happen, then I'm positive they'd have IFB Hero-type minifigs for the Toa. As for a small model, maybe a mask stand/shrine? With a golden mask?
  3. Lego Dimensions? Bionicle playsets, yo. Playsets. It'd be nice if that game released single-pack minifigs or small sets (don't know if that's the plan or if it's going to be full-scale sets. Haven't looked into it much). That way, getting a Bionicle Minifig (a la IFB Heroes)would probably be more likely. Just a small set that has a Mini-Toa and maybe an accessory.
  4. They look awesome! The Frostions are probably my favorite max (barrel chest!). Also, anyone know when the next series is coming out? Feels like it's been a while...
  5. I don't believe that was mentioned. There were some leaks that said we were going to get console games, but those turned out to be fake. Maybe you're confusing those two?
  6. Icarax, by far. So much nostalgia for that figure. Ever since I saw the product shots of him, I was eagerly awaiting his release. And he didn't disappoint. I should think about making a CCBS Icarax for nostalgia's sake.
  7. There are other smaller islands in the Water region. But yeah. Doubting this is canon. But seems like it'd be a nice post-final battle scene/party. Everyone relaxing and chillin' on the beach.
  8. Heh. Pretty cute. Everyone hanging out on the beach. Also love the inclusion of Lewa's Nuva symbol.
  9. Neat to see the origins of the mask. But I wish the video covered the design process for the entire figure.
  10. I'm still hoping the MOUP has molded in flames coming out of the top. And the mask is a black and trans red blend a la the Protector masks.
  11. I second that. Definitely Princess Mononoke without a doubt. I recently re-watched it. Must not have realize how great it was on my first viewing. Such a fantastic movie, and may be my favorite Ghibli movie.
  12. Agreed on Onua both as a set and for parts. Picked up two extra when they were on sale at Target just to MoC with.
  13. Since it was on sale for $25-ish at Target, I got the Drillex set. Not too bad. I know some people criticize the design, but I think it works. It has a very angular, almost Tumbler-esque aesthetic going on, and I just love it. My only complaint is that I really don't like the drill. I feel it (and the whole front end) just sticks a bit too far out from the core of the vehicle. I would have preferred if it was a shorter, yet bulky vehicle. That being said, the function is quite nice. I always love to see what Lego can pull off with gears.
  14. Really liking the last two (the first just seems to be the old Ancient City concept art, but reversed and nighttime. Still cool, though). I love seeing environment concepts even more-so than character concept art.
  15. Well poo. Whatever. I'll still consider it canon. Like I said before, it seems to follow what we already have seen fairly closely (no glaring discrepancies).
  16. Oh no. Cannot unsee. Bionicle G2 is secretly Doo Heads. EDIT: In terms of whether or not it's official, I took a look at some shots of the city from the Animations. By the looks of it, everything is correctly placed. The bridge leads to a large structure (in the animations, it's the protector mask building), and the northwestern building is the Mask Makers' forge (also in the correct position. In other words, if it's not official, everything is so nicely placed that it might as well be.
  17. I don't mind trans orange. But that's probably because I'm a sucker for fluorescent parts.
  18. If it means more tracks like Derezzed, I'm all for Daft Punk. Otherwise, Joseph Trapanese (guy who scored Tron Uprising) would make a good replacement. Speaking of which, apparently DisneyTM never confirmed that Tron Uprising was cancelled. Hoping Ascension will be incentive to start up a Season 2 (probably wishful thinking, but a guy can dream).
  19. Simple. Make an account, then once the contest is over, delete it. I had to get a Twitter account for school. I was going to delete that account, but now I'll just keep it a bit longer until the contest is over.
  20. That's what I think'll happen. If you submit a red face and win for that week, you'll get Tahu. If your red face wins as an overall winner, you'll get the gold Mask of Fire. So creative! It's a one-eyed smiley face! That's it, no point in entering. This is clearly going to be the winner.
  21. The Facebook page has the rules. So, long story short, you find a mask/face-like image in an object, take a picture of it, and submit it to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. The catch seems to be that it needs to correspond to one of the six elements... But judging by the video, that can be something as simple as color. And there's no limit to how many pictures we can take. That's always cool. Definitely be entering this one. Of course, now that I'm on the lookout, I won't find anything. :P
  22. Wow! That sounds like a cool contest! As someone who loves finding faces in objects, this is right up my alley.
  23. I have all the sets. Once summer rolls around, Skull Grinder will be a day one purchase. After that, it'll be Basher. The rest I haven't decided, but I'll be sure to pick them up eventually.
  24. Double post, Wheee! So The Rolling Girls wrapped up yesterday. A fantastic anime, in my opinion (just look at my banner and avatar), if a tad short. But it did what it needed to do and told its story, so its 12 episode run was perfectly fine in the end. It was a relatively simple story, but it shows that things don't need complex plotlines to be good. What it did have were loveable characters, awesome music, bright colors, and crazy, sparkly fight scenes. It was a ride. I highly recommend checking this one out. I'm kinda sad that it apparently didn't get very good ratings, because this is easily one of my favorite shows.
