Thanks for bringing that up. Yeah, the Protector names are pretty much on par with those in terms of ridiculousness. Honestly, I really don't see much problem with them now. They're really starting to grow on me. Especially Vizuna. It's such a cool name. Feels good to have names to memorize again.

Bingzak is the best name in Bionicle since Tiribomba. So. Names. That's cool. PoE being female is great. Though I can't help but think Korgoth of Barbaria every time I see her name. The others are cool. I don't think they sound too weird.

If the MoUP doesn't have a trans red blend, I'll be disappointed. I think it'd look look sweet as a black mask with trans red flame detailing.

lol. Look at those dinosaur feet on Basher. And that head. He looks so goofy! Grinder's massive chin, aside. Man I love the animations' art style.

I don't know what to believe anymore. :P They both have their pros and cons. G1's building system (technic, G1 Bionicle. Whatever. I'm calling it G1 to make things easy) I feel possesses more connection points and I find it easier to build with. Of course, that could also be because I'm more used to it. However, when I build, I often like to thread tubes through pinholes to have things coming off at weird angles. Considering G1's parts had more pinholes in more of its parts, I find it to be much easier to do zany things like that. Though that's just one technique I enjoy, so personal preference deal there. HOWEVER. Textures can pose a problem as expressed before in the topic. Also, I find it harder to build larger-scaled figures with G1's parts. But that may be because I have limited parts selection. CCBS is... More fun, I'd say. I enjoy seeing what crazy skeletons I can make and then dressing them up with cladding. Larger scale figures also come together much more quickly I find. I just need to make a hollow skeleton and cover the gaps. Boom. That all being said, I enjoy using them both in tandem. So... I guess I just look at it all as... Lego. They're all pieces. I can't say I prefer one over the other because they're not different systems. They're just parts. And I can use whatever I darn well please. Eh. Just my two cents.

Y'know people have said that the sets have been selling well, but I haven't realized until just today. I was at the Lego Store, and one of the workers said something about not having them anymore (I don't know if they're not carrying them, or what he said exactly. Anyway...) because they've been having such a hard time keeping the shelves stocked. Apparently they're selling out faster than they can restock. So yeah, it'd be really sad not to see a wave 2 considering the huge success of the line.

Well, I went to the Lego Store. Got the Portal Hideout and Ultrasonic Jet. The Ocean HQ was out of stock, but they said they'd be getting more in on Tuesday. For whatever that's worth because I'm not making the trip. I guess I'll order it from legoshop.

The mask looks cool, but... Maybe not $40 cool. It'll take more (or less, in this case) to convince me.

Whoa. The torso armor is smaller than I thought. Probably just looks that way since it doesn't have the whole chest area. That and the hollowness since it is a ribcage. Either way, that piece is looking cool. Can't wait to have it in hand.

Wasn't too sure on the yellow guy until I realized he was a guitar. Still, not sure about this wave. They seem to be bit... Cobbled together. Not as neat and tidy as previous releases.

Hm. I did just get my paycheck today... I may just have to blow it on the sets and get 'em. I've seen them at TRU, and I may be going shopping this weekend...

That mask... I may have to buy one once someone inevitably sells theirs. The Trans Neon Green Miru was one of my favorite masks back in the day. It'd be nice to have this as a sort of homage to that. (aka, nostalgia's forcing me to want this)

I figured that was the case. Besides, What would be the point of hunting down Ekimu's body if the Protectors were the same ones who put him to rest. Shouldn't they know where they put him if that was the case? In regards to the 'endless sleep' I figure that since magic is a thing in G2, I'll blame any unexplained thing on magic until we potentially get an explanation. How did Ekimu survive this long? Magic.

Seems like we won't be learning much about Okoto. Only this strange land called "Okto" and the elemental heroes the "To a." Sounds like a ripoff. In all seriousness, glad to hear there'll be more info in regards to the society and culture.

Oh my, yes. We need G2 Umbra. Which is strange considering I never really cared for the character. But this MoC is still awesome.

I hope they stick around for a while here in the states. I don't know when the next time'll be when I get the chance to pick 'em up. Seriously. This was a great theme. I expected it to end, but not like this. I wonder what happened...?

Holy cow. That's impressive. Love the sculpting in the waist/hips/upper legs. It just looks so smooth and cohesive. And the stow-away extra set of arms is a neat touch.

In regards to the 'simplified names' discussion, I don't see why they can't just go the Toa naming route. Like, a unique name followed by a title. Though I suppose "Ekimu the Mask Maker vs Kulta the Skull Grinder" would be quite the mouthful. Anywho, more stuff I'd like to see: Protector-sized sets. Maybe some villains in that size. Even better if they could be army builders.

G2 Bohrok Concepts -- Feel free to join in!
Kalhiki replied to CabooseBM's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Curse you Aanch. Making me want things I can't have... But the one thing I've always wanted with Bohrok: head articulation. I always love the side to side looking motion they had in the animations and was sad they couldn't pull that off in the sets. Though the head launch function was pretty boss, so I can't really complain.
