  1. Welcome to the Action Figures Forum. Things can get pretty crazy in here.
  2. Wondering the same thing. Masks can't be made from more than one element. I figure it's possible to just use certain aspect of the element (for instance, stone includes different minerals, etc.). Depending on the combination, you can get different powers. Or maybe the Mask of Creation gives them power? Could be why Ekimu's masks are more valued. But yeah, weird. Very curious to know the mask making process.
  3. Ah, another Illinoisan like myself. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  4. Agreed. My biggest issue with Lewa was his weapons. You don't hold axes that close to the head. So, yeah. I just leave him in his adrenaline mode. Also, connecting the axe heads to the legs is another option. Doesn't look to bad, to be honest.
  5. And here I just got all the sets. Mmmm... Not really impressed with the polybag. Gold is overused, I agree. The cardboard stand is neat, but I really wish they didn't put the Lego and Bionicle logos on it. Just kinda ruins the look...
  6. Y'know what? Skull Scorpio isn't that bad. Yeah, posability isn't worth crap, but I think he looks pretty cool. I think it's LOSS syndrome. The figure's pretty terrible, but all the problems are excused due to an incredibly addicting function. I just love making that tail snap. I don't know, he's just a really goofy looking... Thing, and that appeals to me somewhat. Despite that, I still want to make an alternate model out of him. Try to pull off a G2 (undead) Kahu.
  7. 2006. Was the first time in a while it felt fresh while still harkening back to the "golden era." Yeah, okay, Mata Nui was more light-hearted than Voya Nui's dark tone, but the whole "mysterious island" bit is what appealed to me. Plus, it was more organic than Metru Nui's cityscape. The sets were great, too. Loved the creativity and oftentimes goofiness of the Matoran, the Piraka were creative (first time to use that build. They got to use if before it got old) especially with their spines and other gimmicks, and not to mention the titans. I don't know, 2006 was just a fun year.
  8. Went to the Lego Store today and nabbed the whole lineup. So far only opened Slicer, and he's pretty sweet. Not sure how I feel about three arms going in the same direction though... Regardless, he really shines in the color department. Almost literally. Love those trans bones. The new parts are pretty slick, and I think the torso armor is probably my new favorite piece. Love its shaping. So yeah. Skull Slicer is a cool dude. I was pretty indifferent upon seeing pictures, but he turned out pretty sweet.
  9. Miia from that new Monster Girls show. I would date a snake woman. So. More shows I'm watching. Aforementioned Monster Girls show, which is a goofy, ecchi delight. I've gotten good chuckles out of it. If you want something weird, Game of Laplace. Very strange story. Very strange characters. But I find it interesting, so I continue to watch it. This most recent episode was downright depressing, though... But by far, Blood Blockade Battlefront. Watched the dub, which was fantastic. Due to the delayed final episode, the dub is now caught up with the sub, so you can watch your preference. It's just... An amazing show. Great characters and humor with awesome action scenes. I really don't want to say much, but it's just... Go watch it. It's my second favorite anime just under Kyousougiga.
  10. Never seen that before. The poster's neat, but the week planner is kinda the goofiest thing I've seen as a promotion. I don't think we've ever gotten something like that.

  12. , baboons,
  13. Also, the event where The MoUP was knocked from Makuta's face and the shockwave afterward is now called the "great cataclysm." Hm... Now where have I heard that before... Oh, and we have a new sport called Hammer Flush, which was hosted in the arena. I want to know more.
  14. Oh man. Skull Grinder's pretty terrifying. Cool videos, but just makes me want the animations to come out that much sooner.
  15. flock
  16. Woah. Seeing that Crystal Beast makes me realize how useful that torso would be on the Toa. The chest armor just feels too high when using the regular torso, but the extra module in length makes it the perfect size.
  17. Waist articulation... Gimme....
  18. fiercely.

  21. Definitely the day one purchase set. Thanks for the review, VBBN! Though I think I'm gonna swap Nilkuu's and Ekimu's eyes giving them more accurate eye colors to their animation models. And maybe lower Kulta's torso armor a module. Looks like he's being strangled by his chest.
  22. For some reason I read "foot" as "reboot" and made me realize how much I miss Hero Factory... Anyway, hopes for 2016... I really don't want an environment-specific theme. Just seems too restrictive. I like the diversity of the regions and the characters who live there, so that way there's something for everyone. And as MakutaOfWar said, more Okoto exploration. The idea of Ekimu becoming a Toa-sized figure I do not want. I want a super-powerful short guy. His height is part of his charm. Also, I still like the idea of upgraded Toa with completely trans bones. That'd be a heck of a lot of recolors, but it would be sweet. Ekimu already looks great with all of his bones (minus torso) and trans, and I'd like to see that applied to the Toa.
  23. I think my biggest problem with the alphabet is that there're thick and thin lines. For instance, "H" has thin lines that end in large, open blocks. Seems like it'd be harder to write in this alphabet when compared to G1's which was just a bunch of lines and open circles. That being said, we've had circles, hexagons, and triangles. Nice to see squares added to the mix.
