Why does the universe hate De'kra so? Not only is his luck in battle terrible, but now he can't get items that might make him useful. I don't think that he defiled some shrine before he joined Heroica, so why does the cosmos punish him?

De'kra clicked in agreement, as the part headed towards the Questing Outfitter's Shop. The shade wondered silent if the establishment would be currently under elf control, or if the original shop owners would still have power over their store. The elves after all might not want rare and possible dangerous items to be given to every traveler. -

De'kra wasn't sure why the ranger wanted to buy windows, since the team had no home to put them in. And it would only slow the group down if they carried windows on their journey. And what was "laid ease?" The shade decided not to ask about this thugh, as perhaps another hero would reveal its meaning by its reply. -

De'kra shrugs and clicks, "I no know might I have enough gold for anything, but worth try. Other members might have gold, and might heroes and I find something group need, heroes and I might pool together all gold." -

De'kra bows to the elf archer, and waits to see were Tomas heads off to. The shade wonders briefly if the Lion Knights are real, or if the elves are using rumors and tricks to expand their territory. They now control two villages, not counting their native lands, and with both the Mopags and the houses distracted, they might be making a bid for power. De'kra eventualy rejects this idea, as the elves won't let a group sent by a house anywhere near them if this was true. If the heroes learned the truth, the houses might react. He never says any of this outloud, since elves are all around him. -

De'kra nods at the ranger, totally missing his disgust. "I think of something," the shade clicked, "Many elves in R'kilf; city worth. Maybe Brobric overrun by the Lion Knights, or it least damaged from Lion Knights. Most elves fled from Brobric to R'kilf to regroup, while only few remain to protect old home. That why elves fight Lion Knights, elf home decimated by knights. What other heroes think? Elf guide no have to comment might he no want to." -
I flood my house a lot, I actually have a house encircled with water two blocks deep. I can only reach it with tunnels now. This I the number of times I have died by lava worries me. Regardless, thank you.

If the others find it odd that the shade spawned a slug, De'kra didn't notice. He was just glad that he now had a defense against amnesia the next time he died, which with his record was a distinct possibility. -
How do you talk in multiplayer? I don't feel comfortable playing on servers unless I know I can explain myself if I mess up big time.

De'kra dipped his head in thanks to Tomas, and pocketed the coin. "What you think Lion Knight like? What need heroes and I prepare for when heroes and I meet knights?" -

As they readied to move on, De'kra began to make violent tremors in his body. A shrieking sound can be heard from within him, as the shade begins reaches into a gap in his clothes. With a great ripping sound De'kra scraps something off of his chest, which falls to the ground. Slowly the tiny chunk condenses into a small slug like creature, which squirms into the shade's pocket. OOC: and thus De'kra got a "pet" -

De'kra watches as the foes collapse, filled with relief that he not only had survived the fight, but had managed to help. As the shade stood victorious his body began to churn and bubble, mostly obscured by his clothes. The Shade's eyes beamed, glad that he can now relax. The shade turned to the group and clicked, "Heroes and I best continue on, but not forget it. Heroes and I have to keep elf safe in order to enter Brobric, might heroes and I enter side quest he might enter knock out. But when heroes and I finished in Brobric, which shouldrememberthis knowledge. -
Great find, Surge's shoulder plates look just weird to me though. Wait, does Breez have rocket boots? Was that there the whole time, and did I only just notice it? Evo still looks as great as ever. On the matter of Nathan Evo, every time I hear his full name I think of that evil X-Man geneticist. And while looking at his metallic arm I can easily associate him with Cable. And somehow his eyes, chest symbol, and the prior connections put me in the mind of Nate Grey. Anyone else seeing these links, or am I just imagining them?

Why couldn't a gender neutral robot love another gender neutral robot? Even with "gender" I am pretty sure Breez and Evo couldn't "make" robots any more efficiently than two genderless robots. If you are saying that humans can only associate with characters with a human gender, then doesn't that severly limit the empathy and symphony that humanity can give?

There is no deadline; a new character was created only in the past day.

De'kra nods, and clicks, "elf has eight health, swordsman deals seven. Might elf take hit he will have one health left. Might it occur, elf take no action next time? Might I take too great damage, I take no action." -

De'kra clicks, "I attack crossbow man from front, but not might leader have better plan for I. I judgement in battle not good, I submit to leader stategy might he have one." The shade begins to encircle the hired "gun," ready to strike. -
Hooray, I just found Wildfire on BZPower. That takes me back, it was the reason I joined the forum in the first place. Just to comment on that story. It was last commented on in December of 2010, so it takes a bit to find(unless you just use the search option I never knew existed). But man, even after all this time it still is impressive and dark. Dark Mirror had nothing on this. Shameless advertising aside, why do the robots have genders anyway? Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the need to classify robots as male or female.

De'kra snarls at the stars, as they burn into him. The celestial orbs bring no physical pain, but instead they cause a rage. The shade sleeps with his bedroll underneath a log, to escape the agony of the stars. Even as he hid he could feel the stars taunting him, mocking him. -
The voice in the sky is answered by a dark stranger that while quest six was "failed" on purpose, the reports are not going to list that. After all, if the Town Watch learned of the Questers' true actions, the three heroes would be in trouble. Thus the reports would leave the deal out. And since De'kra only read the reports, he can't know about the real plan of the Quest six group. You know what, I will just call the group from quest six the Foxes, as the fox is kin to the wolf and like in myths of foxes the trio tricked and outwitted their opponents.

De'kra waits for the leader to make the decision, all the while staring at the ground. The shade would tremble every so often, disturbed that his memories had vanished after losing one fight. What if he later went on a quest with a bunch of level one heroes, and lost his memories? He might slaughter the bunch of them. Worst of all the group say a glimpse into his thoughts, the fear he feels towards the land of Uland. It is so...strange yet so familiar. It is an uncanny valley, and the mixture of similarity and difference terrifies him. He has learned to accept the island and trust the heroes, but the feelings never fade. That sun knew why the felt this way, always mocking him. The shade silently promised himself that he would reach level six, to stop this from happening again. -
I can log in, but I can'y manage my account or post in a topic. Still, it is good to look at all those contests that expired months ago.

Hooray; BZPower has returned! However from the looks of it you can't post yet.

De'kra rushes in, as the group was stopping briefly in Eubric before resuming their quest. The shade glanced through the records of quest five and quest six, reading up on the missions of other heroes. De'kra signed with relief that quest six had failed, now if his group lost they would not be the first failed quest in their generation. Personally he suspected it was the cleric's fault, if he remembered correctly that cleric had been infected by the Rome Ant Icism disease, and so was probably too distracted to fight well. Sadly he could find nothing on the new memory. With a shrug De'kra headed back to the group, at the least caught up on quests 1 through 6.

De'kra looks down and clicks, "Sorry, I remember now. I had see three peasants dead and blood in heroes' swords, without I memories it scary. Not to mention you all had look, odd in I eyes. Like people not look like you. It...confusing. I apologize Makuta, you no wrong make...I need level six." The shade scampered off towards the library, a spark of memory awakened. A short time later De'kra returned, armed with knowledge on the quest five and the official reports of quest six. "Heroes and I go might leader want," he clicked, "I finish here."
