  1. IC: De'kra softly clicked, "Dark only evil as wielder, light only as kind as master. Example; some followers of Ennoc slaughter innocent Orcs. Following "god" of light not stop followers from exist as Karzahni-spawn. And I know people of dark who not evil; one hero here. Not here now, she on quest. Other dark user back home, I think. He was not good person, but spared lives and did when it come to it try save universe from his master. He had harm many people and was bad, but he die try to save his people and I universe. I prefer he over some "good" villagers back home. Light and Dark, like a sword or shield; ultimately just tools. It user that decide what to do. No excuse for evil but own decision."
  2. De'kra watched as some of the combatants returned to the hall, and began to talk among themselves. The shade recognized Dak among them, talking to yet another Rogue. The rogue population seemed kind of large in the Hall, although De'kra only knew two of them really. As he listened to the two rogues, De'kra heard the word "prison." Immediately he seemed more intense, though only in subtly ways like eye movements.
  3. Who says Rogues are weak in the Arena? The first victor of the Heroica Arena was a rogue afterall. I just thought of a plan for the heroes of Quest 17. If the Elves attack by river, their Ranger could just cast Summon Bigger Fish.
  4. IC: De'kra returned to the hall, his mind refreshed from the battle. It was good to battle like that, in a fight where no one will die and with no real ramifications from the outcome. Although this still didn't push him towards another quest of death, De'kra knew he had to go soon. Those villagers had kept going, so he should too. The shade glanced at the list of Quests for the first time in ages, and cautiously signed up for Quest 20: Missing Minerals. Now he could only wait to see if he would be accepted.
  5. Of course, just not yet.
  6. I would like to thank Brickdoctor, because if Quest 4 hadn't been so epic (and long), I won't have had the chance to fight in ten battles (I died in one), and thus I couldn't have leveled up to level ten, gotten my Prongcanis Dagger, and gotten the money to upgrade it to have lightning powers.
  7. De'kra's blade darted like a bolt of lightning, diving not once but twice into Sarick's body. Sparks danced across the Naga, and the scent of burnt flesh hung around him. De'kra watched as Sarick fell, his long body flat on the ground. As the cleric healed the two fighters, De'kra helped Sarick to his...feet? "Good train-fight," he clicked in his rapid high-pitch voice, "You strong and you ice blasts. Maybe you and I train-fight again sometime? Probably you and I should wait some time to recover though."
  8. iC: De'kra winces from the hit, but it doesn't damper his spirits too much. This fight feels different than those he had on Quest 4. This isn't a vicious fight of life and death, this is just training, both fighters are willing, neither have anything to lose, there is no quilt to feel from this. De'kra attacks once more from the back row, his dagger at the ready.
  9. De'kra leapt to the side from Sarick's attack, avoiding much of the ice blast. This dodge failed to spare the shade from the whole attack, but he was more than well enough to keep going. "What no kill you make you stronger," he clicked as he used the momentum from his leap to bury his dagger into Sarick's chest. The shade watched as sparks danced around the Naga, frying his flesh. The round finished, De'kra retreated to the back row, and prepared to attack Sarick with his dagger once more. The shade felt a slight rush, a mild one but one all the same. He had almost defeated an opponent in one try, and this one was far stronger than that Lion Knight. Something about this, a one on one duel, felt kind of good. Like he had fought like this before...
  10. De'kra decides to attack from the front row with his electrically enhanced dagger, and hopes that he doesn't die in the first round. He might be bad in combat, but he doesn't think he is instant kill bad.
  11. De'kra arrived at the arena. He had accepted the Naga's challenge, though he was unsure as to how much of a chance he had. Sure his level was higher, but his luck in battle was terrible. Still, there were no losses for losing this fight. De'kra began to remove his potions and such, leaving him with his Cloak of the Blue Assassin, his electric Prongcanis Dagger, and his Shadeaux Dagger. The shade waited to see how the match was to start, as he had never done a duel before. Or had he...
  12. De'kra noticed two heroes talking, and listened in. Some of the phrases were odd in their speech, like these "Dark Arts." What did that mean? Perhaps it was referring to artwork that using large amounts of dark colors, like black. What else could it refer to? Suddenly De'kra saw the more reptilian of the two approach him. After hearing the snake's chalenge, De'kra clicked, "Not bad idea, I need something to enact. I warn you though, I combat skills have big limit, odd are you win. I might not good test of skills honestly. But I will train-fight and you."
  13. To be fair, some species of Earth Monkeys are capable of concept of self and crafting tools, both old world and new world. And that isn't even going into their kin the apes. Of the apes Chimapnzees can plan ahead, plot revenge, lie, craft and use spears, have a form of currency(meat), understand English if exposed at a young enough age, go to war, and have been using stone tools for at least four thousand years. A group of heroes could totally underestimate them and get slaughtered. And there is even a species of ape that has the weaponry to destroy the earth multiple times, has been to the moon, and invented Legoes. Primates are clearly the most dangerous foe you can encounter.
  14. While I like the idea of anything connected to Bionicle (except the Hordika, the only good thing in 2005 was Time Trap), I will point that this Seventh class doesn't have to be a starter. One of the six heroes in the Heroica board games is a Druid, however in this game the Druids are an advanced class instead of a basic. So this new class might already be covered by the advanced classes we already have.
  15. De'kra glances in shock at another hero walking through the halls. It had been a while since he seen anyone, so long that he had time to dream. Dreams were so wonderful, except of course under the stars. But in darkness, De'kra's dreams were the most wondrous things he ever saw. Of course he forgot what they were about as soon as he woke up, but the joy didn't fade. Still, it would be good to see other heroes even if it would mean less times to satisfy his desire to dream.
  16. IC: De'kra watches as the rogue Dak leaves, and wonders what he meant by spirit. Sometimes he heard people in the Tavern talk about spirits, though by their tone it seemed like they were referring to consumable materials. Regardless, he might have to look into this "spirit" possibility.
  17. IC: De'kra shook his head and replied, "No, I not really even shade. I no know what I am, I name, I home, or most of I past. I call I shade because I shadow of I former self. I call I De'kra because in I first tongue it might mean Shadowed Whispers, refer to I memories. I no know if I norm or abnormality, because I no know I race. Some things of aoi and Dastan Empire seem familar though."
  18. IC: De'kra shook his head, "Not like I. I see people fall in Quest 4, they bodies remain. When I die, I...go away. I mind and I body leave world to scary place. Scary place, shred I mind. I forgot everything when I body return to this world. I forgot language, people, concepts, only know First Tongue and terror. I see only strangers talk weirdly, not fellow heroes. I almost attack them. I not sure how I got memory back, I no trust it to return. I have plan to help remember might I die again, but it might not work. I might lose memories again, and might I be high level, I might kill young heroes. And even if I plan work to give back memories, I no want to see scary place again." Softly he added, "I use I fear of death as cover, so listener no notice. I think I hear listener too, not sure where though." OOC: it is important to know that De'kra's deaths are unique, and if there is an official afterlife/lives for Olegaia, De'kra desn't share it.
  19. IC: De'kra's eyes seemed to burn as he clicked, "I will no die. Never again! Never again..." Then he softly whispered, "Wait, people not suppose listen to other people conversations? I...was not aware of that. It like personal property thing all over again."
  20. De'kra sighed and replied, "What past equals prologue. Past always relevant, no matter how old it is. Orcish Invasion was 250 years ago, but it still affect mindset of Eubric towards Orcs. People who forget past doom to repeat mistakes of old. Might people forget the cause of the war, another war just like it will emerge. And sometimes ramifications of past rear head hundreds of years later. Knowledge better than any sword, sword only react, but knowledge prepares."
  21. De'kra shook his head and replied, "I not go sit in self pity, but I have to remember that I cause deaths. Might I ignore I major place in war, I might make same mistakes again. And as I say, bad things happen when one disassociates self from mistakes and from people. I...don't remember all details, but g-powerful person forgot to care for his people, and in turn thousand years of evil conquer civilizations. It important to not make consume of mistakes, but never forget mistakes or ramifications of mistakes."
  22. Yes, but not the alien Oversoul movie, I mean the Anime-esque western animation with tints of Steampunk as the plot progresses. Not the movie version of said show either, that movie doesn't exist. I have no movie version! This is actually the second time I referanced it here, and there will be other times. So much time used watching it. Momo and Appa OTP! ...Its late where I am and I'm sleepy. Don't blame me for the craziness I spew when tired.
  23. No, Zuko is the blue spirit, didn't you see the thirteenth episode of season 1?
  24. De'kra shook his head and stated, "It not so simple. Guide not force heroes and I to kill three Elves and start war, heroes and I made that decision. I made strong case for kill Elves, base on knowledge heroes and I learn in Quest. I start war. I no forget that. If I forget that I cause war, I might disassociate I from deaths made by war. And I know what happen when people disassociate, it...bad. Plus heroes in Quest 17 not undo war, instead heroes help Crownies/Lion Knights to win war for Knights. Heroes not sent to end fighting, but to win war."
  25. IC: De'kra paused and pondered the figure's words. "But...heroes and I fail Quest," he said, "Not officially, heroes and I complete all objectives, but heroes and I create a massive war in north. Many will die because of war, war that need not happen. Records might say heroes and I win, but in truth heroes and I lost. On other note, how you learn of Igroup? Were you villager in one of the villages heroes and I visit?"
