Classes are already limited, once you choose a basic class you can never change it, and you will only have five advanced classes to choose from. Although I like the idea of dual classing your class, like a ranger/ranger combo, which would give you six. Of course you can't have a ranger/ranger or a rogue/rogue, it would be pointless and silly to do so. But I still like the idea of something for people who reach level fifteen but don't want to hybridize their class.

This is true as well.

Truer words have never been spoken. But honestly, I think the source of Bartholomew's epicness is just this feeling you get around him. You get this sense that he could make a great story, one with plot twists and epic battles. Like he could make a globe trotting adventure, where the entire adventure is a lie and the protagonists are being used. A story where heroes must protect the last line of defense against attackers, a battle where the protagonists can affect their fate by making their own weapons of war. You just get that feeling whenever Barthholomew posts, and it is hard to separate that feeling from him. Like how whenever Boomingham talks some people think of Wren, though no one knows why since those two aren't connected at all. Or when Ellaria speaks you feel like you are in the presence of a powerful creator who could destroy you should you vex them, and it's best to act nice so that you don't get smited.

Fair enough, I guess for my part I forgot that. Well, I haven't forgotten the struggles QM face enough to try to run a quest, I would crack in an instant. I do not have the resolve you QM's all face, nor the desire to test it. I am already spread thin through my other Roleplaying, I would break if I even attempted this, not to mention my lack of dice knowledge. I could never be a quest master. I might loan quest ideas to someone else though... But none the less I apologize for being impatient, though I have since calmed down. A good 92 minutes of MST3K works wonders, after I stop laughing and can breathe again. Oh The Final Sacrifice, will you ever stop being hilarious?

I can't, as at the moment I have assimilated all knowledge in regards to my many series of preference. (I have already read all the books I like)

Believe me I don't like soaps either, but we have to do something to pass the time. If we don't I might get so bored that I end up spamming the rules and discussion topic with totally random comments, instead of my usual seemingly random comments. The randomness will infect the other players, and it will spread into their posts all over Eurobricks. People reading those posts will become corrupted by the irrationality, and their posts will become random. Soon enough the entire site will descend into utter chaos, and anarchy will consume as all! See what I mean? Only the first sentence had anything to do with Heroica. And already I am planning the opener for a hip television series staring De'kra, Zane, Radar, Ryo, Hybris, Arthur, and Cinna as they fight the Order. of Greedy. Evil. Legends. and try to clear their names for a crime they did not commit. Three of those characters aren't even in Heroica. We (I) need something to do, or boredom will claim us all.

Agreed. Not to be rude or anything, but if De'kra is to catch up the rest of the Quest 4 heroes he is going to need opportunities to catch up. Maybe we should force some drama? Arthur suggested that Dak's amnesia might be a result of Abraxas possessing him, so we could use that idea to past time. Maybe this could also explain his earlier split personality. That is, if Dak's puppeteer agrees.

Althior was a mild mannered Mage, until he was bitten by a radioactive goatee! From that day on he was Goatee-Man, with the fantastic power to give people facial hair! Now he fights evil with his sidekick Zit-Lad! But seriously, I agree on the romance thing. This is one reason why I made De'kra incapable of love, so that his development would be ruled by more original things.

It looks like the "heroes" of Quest 15 are taking a dip in the evil side of the alignment pool. I will never look at Rangers that same way again.

De'kra is a little epic... But on a serious note, why isn't Cronk epic? Or Bartholomew? Or En Sabah Nur? Or Tomas? Or Skrall? Edit: Never mind, you edited your post. Still, En Sabuh Nur not only made a secret deal behind the backs of the Town Watch and the Hall, but he also won an impossible battle. Quest 10 was a bloodbath that every other battle pales in comparison to. And he won. He is epic incarnate. (I need that die!) Also, Bartholomew has an eyepatch. Either he is an evil universe version of some other Bartholomew, or he is just awesome. Tomas also is the first Cleric as far as I know to reach level fifteen, and Skrall's name pleases De'kra. (plus he is an ogre who fights with a bow)

Shush, we aren't supposed to notice that. It's like how we aren't supposed to acknowledge that De'kra is a Jawa with a witch hat. Sure we all know it, but we don't talk about.
-
That is plausible, but the texture and color matches his facial hair quite well. And I doubt he would go to the trouble of using fake facial hair, since that would fall off frequently in combat. Thus I conclude that in all likelihood he does possess hair. Dear gosh have I joined a discussion about hair? How bored am I? I need Quest 20 to speed up now!
-
No you can see strands of black hair sticking out from beneath his hat.
-
Rogues can use bows, and we kick butt with them too. We just don't it around other heroes because we want you to underestimate us.

Tonight on a very special episode of Heroica Hall... ...so on another note, I decided to join Heroica for a number of reasons. Bszpower was still down, and I needed a place to find Bionicle MOCs and speculation. This brought be to Eurobricks, though I didn't join at first because I wanted to test the water. (a lot more gets past the censors than Bzpower) While I looked through steam punk creations and Biomicle inventions, I came upon Heroica. After reading a bit of the first three quests I became interested, and joined Eurobricks in order to play. My original character was going to be a bat, but that was rejected by virtue of not being humanoid. (prejudice bipeds) So instead I came up with a new character, and thus the legend of De'kra was born. And I am much happier with him than I would be with a bat. (although I still would like a bat sidekick for De'kra)

Here are De'kra's thoughts on the situation with Ellaria. ...really this isn't surprising with his theories on Roam Ant Icism.

I edited my last post to put in a reply to Arthur. I believe the best way to describe it is Drama Bomb. Pay close attention to fifth part (if you count the first line) De'kra mentions something that "saves" him.

It has been some time since I visited this topic, but I have a question. I am a fan of the steampunk genre, and have been for some time. Recently I discovered the existence of Heart of Steel, which sounded great in theory. However I am currently unaware of how well it is written. Since I have an opportunity to acquire this series, I would like to know if this is a good purchase. What are your thoughts of the series?

Heroica RPG - Quest #20: Missing Minerals!
Tanma replied to UsernameMDM's topic in The Heroica Archive
IC: De'kra slinks back into the shadows, watching the group from a distance. But even as he shadowed them from the safety of darkness, De'kra felt better than he had in a while. The figure felt stronger now, his mind less clouded. De'kra wasn't sure if it was thanks to his ally's growth or another factor, but there was a difference. But as De'kra moved on he failed to notice the ripples in the air that trailed him. Edit: IC: De'kra noticed a reply from Arthur, and after some thought wrote; -
Heroica RPG - Quest #20: Missing Minerals!
Tanma replied to UsernameMDM's topic in The Heroica Archive
IC: Since they have some time, De'kra decides to write Arthur once more. Upon writing this De'kra clicked, "New heroes and I head to left? I hear once that left usually lead to goal. I not sure why though." -
There is one character who might know on this isle of woe. In the Halls of Heroica, in the lands of Uland; only one hero remains from that quest long ago. A hero of flame and shadow, a hero who solved many a fix. The hero they call Nyx. So yeah, she is the last active hero from Quest 0 and thus the only one who might know. Of course there is a chance that the Veterans made her promise to keep the truth a secret. But that makes me wonder what happened to the others of Quest 0. Maybe they got a little too chatty...

Agreed, this will make it much easier to find old topics. Not to mention the nice banners for the links. Just curious, is it possible to link the test quest there?

Heroica RPG - Quest #20: Missing Minerals!
Tanma replied to UsernameMDM's topic in The Heroica Archive
IC: As De'kra dreamed to himself, hissing began to sound from his clothes. It was a reptilian hiss, slippery and cold. De'kra stirred at the sound, and felt at a patch of his clothes. After he had identified the source of the sound the shade returned to dream. His experission didn't change, since he lacked a mouth and his eyes couldn't blink, but there was an air of pleasure about him. -
Wow, I got something right, kind of. Still, the small part I got right will only encourage my conspiracy theorizing. On another note De'kra has his own NPC as well, but he isn't from De'kra's past. Well he is, but he isn't. It's...complicated. Regardless the NPC knows about what De'kra is, but only De'kra knows his past, though he has forgotten most of it. We saw the NPC for a brief second in Quest 4, when they had taken a break in Heroica. Edit; On the matter of Quest 15, I believe that there has not been such a hard fight since the mirror battle of Quest 10. Synthetic enemies are apparently extremely strong, especially in a certain QM's hands.
