  1. Eddie was right! ...Nice to see more players reaching level fifteen, hopefully De'kra will join their ranks soon.
  2. OOC: works for me IC: De'kra continues to follow the group, searching the region for any possible ambushes.
  3. OOC: as long as De'kra and Dak are hiding in the shadows behind the rest of the group, I suggest we call the Tarn and company Team Bait. IC: De'kra noticed that Dak was also sticking to the shadows, and was doing quite well despite his larger frame. As he followed after Tarn and the others, De'kra briefly wondered if Dak had as many feelings about lurking in darkness as De'kra. On one hand De'kra was fully aware of the usefulness of stealth, and in truth he enjoyed the feel of it. There was a mystery in darkness, what lay within and what it hid. Yet he also wanted transparency, to know what lurked within shadows rather than to appreciate their secrets. To know his past. But as strong as the desire to learn his past, to see that light, the urge to not actively search was it's equal. There was something, a block. Something that told him not to look, to let things lie. But the urge to not look was dying, if there was a quest to Xi or the Dastan Empire, De'kra would leap at it.
  4. Maybe a future quest will be about searching for a cure to this plague. The way I image that scenerio; the heroes will end up fighting twin cat-like avatars of Amadea and Melodion, whose attacks are a fusion of dance and painting. And the only thing keeping those heroes free from the plague are some magical suits of armor crafted by Oleg himself, which prevent mortals from having emotions. But the more rounds that battle takes, the harder it will be for the heroes to feel emotions once they take off the armor.
  5. ...I do not know how to feel about this yet. On one hand he was a teammate in Quest 4, on the other hand I feel this sense of foreboding doom. Of course doom can mean fate (like as in Mount Doom of Lord of the Rings) or to judge. But he was also all "yellow and glowy" earlier in quest 16, and colored text is never a good sign. (Tesni's glow might be an exception, but at the moment I would classify it as beyond good and evil type thing) Then again I could continue on this random tangent, or end this post now.
  6. IC: De'kra notices another message, even as he lurks in the shadows behind the group. The shade briefly checked the message, which consisted solely of; The shade honestly wasn't sure how to reply to this, as he usually had a tendency to make bad theories and had been of almost no help in his last quest. It was...odd to be praised. Suddenly De'kra noticed that the others were getting ahead, so he quickly put the book back into his inventory, and resumed following the others, hidden by the shadows.
  7. IC: As De'kra mourned the wolves, he noticed that a new message had been sent to him from Arthur. Carefully he wrote;
  8. IC: De'kra nodded and said, "I understand. I suppose wolves forage will tend to dead when they return, in they way. Still, it not right." The shade felt weighed down by his Fang Dagger now, sure it was great to have such a good weapon from a powerful hunter, but now it felt heavier. Perhaps the wolves smelled the dagger, and attacked what they thought was a rival pack. The shade shook himself of those thoughts for the moment, he couldn't let himself drown in the past. Still, those wolves shouldn't of had to die.
  9. IC: De'kra stares in shock as 25 gold magically appears in his inventory. As the battle ends the shade nods at the group's victory, though he stares mornfully at the wolves. "New Heroes and I dispose of bodies?" he asked suddenly, "Corpses only attract predators new heroes and I will need to fight. Also not respectful to wolves to leave bodies behind. New heroes and I burn wolves and torch?"
  10. So, what is the betting that one of the heroes in Quest 21 will be their own ancestor? My money is on Boomingham, it seems his style from what I have seen. And it is a good 206 years before he was born, so even with his time travel craziness it could work.
  11. IC: De'kra is thankful for once that he missed, unlike all those prior fights. In a fight he will give his all, but it is harder to do so against wolves, birds, and crabs. Something about the three doesn't feel right. Sure, he will defend himself all the same and he knows that the wolves will not show him mercy, but he can't help but feel guilty. Wolves must be another part of his past, or something like them. Regardless De'kra moves to attack the Wolf A from the front row using his Shadeaux Dagger.
  12. IC: De'kra clicks as time randomly freezes, "One hero has to target Wolf B, otherwise Wolf B get free hit. I already handle Wolf A, but Wolf B now ignore."
  13. IC: De'kra navigates towards the front, still hidden in the shadows. In an explosion of movement, he stabs his Shadeaux Dagger at the Wolf A. "I try limit you pain," he clicked, even as he darted at the canine.
  14. IC: De'kra keeps to the back of the group, puzzled at the hostilities the group show towards each other. The shade subconsciously touched his lifeline, which hissed warmly in response. Something about the fighting and the Kraata seemed familiar, though not this Kraata obviously. If only De'kra could remember. Regardlessly he stayed to the shadows at the back, ready to attack should a foe attack.
  15. IC: De'kra resolved to follow after the leader, though he would tryo stay low and in the shadows. Althoughtheparty had a plethora of Rogues, De'kra's stature would give him a better chance of being unseen. While he readied to follow behind, De'kra checked the ceiling.
  16. IC: De'kra personally has no particular favoritism to either side, so he will not vote unless necessary. The shade does click, "before new heroes and I enter tunnel, listen at tunnel. That way if foes are in next tunnel waiting, new heroes and I might hear foes and prepare."
  17. I don't really have active plans for De'kra. Oh I have a backstory (I have plans) but I can't really do anything unless it is a good opportunity. Certain words can lead to a reaction, and seeing some scenarios can remind him of his past.. Most of these plans require actions of other PCs, how they interact with him. People he trusts (Cinna and Hybros) he will be willing to talk to more, and as their social links improve he might share with them some of the things he remembers but doesn't talk about. And as he quests with others he may find other players to trust, based on what they do. It all depends. That said, I am tossing around the idea of him using Earth song lyrics as battle cries, though in his distorted speech. Like if he ever helps a rebellion against one of the houses or Wren, I plan to have him use lines from uprising. For instance; Of course that would also be a character development point, since De'kra can't say we. Partly because his original language doesn't really have plurals.
  18. I chose rogue because when my sister and me were discussing what Fantasy role-play class we were most like, we both agreed that I would be a rogue. I don't think we had any particular reason, I just seemed roguish. Technically, characters who are "darker and edgier" with lower morals are not necessarily "badass." Not everyone can be Batman. Likewise cute and not particularly dark characters can be quite "badass." Examples of the latter include but are not limited to; May Chang(from Fullmetal Alchemist), Kirby(he eats people and steals their powers!), and Link(in Windwaker, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks; and arguably in other games as well).
  19. IC: De'kra nodded at Tarn, though he eyed him carefully. De'kra had heard that Tarn had at one point had interest in that cleric with orange hair. De'kra suspected that their leader was infected by Rome Ant Icism, though he was not sure how bad the infection was. All the shade could do is wait and plan for the barbarian succumbing to the sickness of the mind.. As he walked inside the mine, De'kra checked the ceiling.
  20. Fair enough, I don't see anything wrong with it either. But even in a magical world some things are odder than others. For instance humans and elves are pretty populous in the known lands of Olegaia, but aoi are rare even in their homeland. Back on Earth albinos exist in many different species and are not too uncommon. And most creatures avoid albinos even if they are of their species (partly because they have bad camouflage) and humans have had many superstitions about them. And in Eubric we know that some species are treated differently than others. (examples, Brobric Elves seem to have a superiority complex, Orcs are oppressed for a war that happened 250 years ago) It is clear that some people find common parts of their world disturbing, like dark magic or the undead. So I don't think it is impossible that some people would find gender neutral people disturbing. Hopefully this makes sense. The other error is De'kra related, but I didn't mention it because it hasn't been revealed in story.
  21. Nice list, I thought there were a lot of rogues. Only the knights are more popular, but they have Cronk for inspiration. There are only two errors I see here, one being that Sylph has been referred to as a "he" a lot recently. But he could just be genderless and is using "he" as a way to seem more human. It is clear that in the quest before he started using male pronouns that some people found him disturbing, so he might be using it to seem more relatable.
  22. IC: De'kra softly clicked, "Never trust employer, but no distrust either. Wait to see how employer act, then decide to trust or distrust. At moment employer seem air-o-gaint, but that not necessarily mean he evil. I think I knew air-o-gaint elder back home, but he still good. But I incline to distrust employer base on attitude too.
  23. IC: De'kra clicked, "I suggest Mage use torch. It only one less in power or his current weapon, and he spells still strong. I not intend mean to mage, just rest of new heroes and I much higher levels, and have power to enact more damage. Thoughts?"
  24. IC: De'kra clicked, "Any purpose for gold and silver? I know metals decorate and gold used in money, but might gold and silver have secondary uses? Might good idea to know all possible reasons for gold vanish. Also, what you know about local life? Any tribes in the area? What kind of creatures scout-crews have find in mountain?"
  25. IC: De'kra follows the other heroes, until they reach the man in blue. The shade eyes the well dressed figure, probing the human in silence. Finally the shade stops, but still jeeps his eyes on the guide. Experience has taught him not to trust people on quests, especially the employer.
