  1. IC: De'kra makes an odd flip of his hand, before throwing his clock all around him. The cloth granted him a higher defense than the average Rogue of his level, and had served him well thus far in battles. Hopefully if there is a trap, the cloak will absorb the damage. OOC: Fullmetal Alchemist has me so pumped up right now.
  2. IC: As the other rogue worked, De'kra checked the ceiling for ambushing foes. Likwise the shade busied himself feeling the wall, checkings foundation and the flow of stone, looking to see if it was vulnerable. The formations of rock and stone, something about them clicked in his mind. But what was so familar about these tunnels?
  3. Am I? Don't forget that De'kra and me are not the same person, we see things differently. Don't assume I have any theories on Guts yet. Still, Guts getting annoyed every time De'kra exists isn't helping his case. It isn't like he has encountered what De'kra is before, since the only other one is an NPC of mine, so he has no troubled past excuse. And if we think about it, threatening a teammate who has some levels on you in front of the rest of the good-aligned team is not something a smart person would do, unless you were too angry to think things through.
  4. IC: De'kra seemed to roll the name around in his clicking voice, before stating, "You were on Quest 5 and 11, that correct? It sometime since I check archives, thus I might confuse you for another hero. But if I remember right, it good to know you have experience in caves. I experience on I first quest though not as good. Quest experience tell I not to trust Quest 20 employer, as Quest 20 employer had to have know some of these dangers. Wolves, giant spiders, bandits, corpse, I forgive neglect to mention bats, but employer had to have notice giant spider. Otherwise employer enact really bad job in scout cave."
  5. IC: De'kra continued on as well, pleased that there existed a version of Spherus-Magna whose fate was not to be destroyed. Though it's heroes and villagers were reversed, it was nice to know that such a place existed, even if it was inaccessible. De'kra's mood wasn't complete joy however, pity was also mixed in. Guts had exploded to a degree, De'kra's words had clearly struck a wound. Anger was often the greatest traitor a person could meet, it could make a fighter's attacks sloppy and blunt. Anger could reveal a person's true thoughts quicker than any mind reader, and it could strip a hero of their intellect in a second. Guts had slipped here, he had reacted with rage. If he hadn't cared or laughed it off, De'kra would have only considered it a theory, like he had before. But Guts lost his self control, he had tried to make it personal. And in doing so, Guts revealed weakness. Was he troubled by those words? Not much. Guts had already tried to mess with the head of another amnesic in front of De'kra, so he already had discredited any sway he might of had. Honestly De'kra was more troubled by his own thoughts right now, how rational and cold they could get. Though empathy still was present, he could feel trace amounts of indifference to the world. Walking towards Tarn De'kra clicked, "Thank you. I sorry that I words confuse. I thoughts and words confuse I sometimes. Speak of I problem and speech, I not know you name yet. You fine and tell I?"
  6. IC: De'kra winced for a moment, and clicked, "I have no god." After a pause De'kra clicked, "Be careful of you xenophobia and apathy. If you drive everyone away, soon enough world turns against you. All the power in cosmos not worth a thing if everyone hates or distrusts you. You will grow paranoid and terrify of everyone, anyone could kill you. And second you let you guard down, they will. Because in you cruelty you drive them away. Maybe that why you fear I, because I not like that. I have few memories, many of which are of enormous pain and suffering. In one memory another planet became destroy, world I care for. I only speak Eubric in broken tongue, and I know some people give I looks for it and appearance. I already manipulate by employer, I know people here sometimes cruel. I know people here Yet I not hide away in wall of cruelty, and I still allow people in. I not monster, I still care about people, people I have not met, people I not remember. I broken in some ways, but not in spirit. Perhaps that scares you. Maybe that why you think I insane, because I still care. You city no break I, I memories almost break I, but I survive. I endure. I grow strong." As he says this De'kra's tone is still pleasant from the line incident, but now hints of pity can be found.
  7. IC: De'kra clicks, "Lack of knowledge not crazy, I remember crazy. It sadistic and illogical, or rageful and blind. Might I ask you to forge Kanohi, I not assume you crazy for not know that technology. Either way, there no magic in I memories, only science and confusion." As De'kra finished this response, one might notice he didn't address everything. As De'kra noticed the mage's lines, he practically leapt to the ground. The echo felt the outline of the split, like it was a sacred text. "I had save them," he muttered softly as he felt one of the outlines, "but I also had not save them. World both dead and safe, both true. I fail one world, but I save another. I save another..." The figure stood up, his body stronger. With a nod De'kra clicked, "Why group stand here? Group has to finish quest." Something about him seems different, like an ember cast back into the flames.
  8. IC: De'kra sighed and remarked to the other rogue, "What names? Honestly, what weight names carry? I native tongue sound nothing like you tongue, and dialect of I tongue sound assign different meanings to certain words of I native tongue. Words, language; it just symbol. And symbols might mean different things. Mask might mean "hidden" here, but back home mask meant "power," "protector," and "hero." One mask was even used to represent God." There was a pause after this, and then De'kra's tone grew sadder, "I call I shade not because it I race. I have no clue what I race, maybe I Imp like Hybros. Maybe I from Dastan Empire or Xi, both nations sound familiar to I. I call I shade because I shadow of what I was: echo. When I awoke on the beach here I need way to identify I, thus I call I De'kra. It loosely mean Dark Sounds in native tongue, which refer to cloud memories. When I learn enough of Eubric tongue, I call I shade also, since it seem like it has same meaning. You imply there secondary meaning to it though." Turning to Tarn, De'kra clicked, "What other meanings of shade here? Also, what ellspon and dean man spon? I read about Zoot in library already, he part of pantheon associated with nothing."
  9. I dabble in written a lot, but unfortunately I have trouble focusing on one story. Every time I see stimuli in this world, a new idea emerges in my mind. It can be. A song, an anime, a book, a comic, seeing any of them gives me the urge to drop my current project and start another one. I even have ideas based on things I actively hate. Needless to say this leads to me spending a lot of time thinking about/writing fan fictions. For instance I currently have four ideas flowing in my head, and those are the ones I would be willing to devote time to. Right now I am rewriting Bionicle during 2009 and 2010, with the promise not to use a Macguffin to save the day. I also have a Legend of Zelda project, which takes place after Spirit Tracks. The third project is original, and I thought of it in an Anthology class. Basically it is a story set post first contact, though information on the aliens is very limited. I put that project on hold until I learn more about the ideas it is based off of. The fourth is a vague idea I haven't started yet, but I have been thinking about it a lot. Aside from those I have started many other stories, though I tend to leave them unfinished or hate them.
  10. It's great talking to Tarn as well, it gives me an opportunity to hint/explain at why De'kra doesn't trust magic. Not that he has anything against it's users, Tomas, Arthur, and Cinna prove that.
  11. IC: De'kra softly sighs at the group's leader, though is not really a sigh of annoyance. The tone of the sigh, though sad, seems like it should accompany a soft smile. Finally De'kra replies in a similarly toned click, "It fine, it only one of many parts of I knowledge that foreign to this world. I hope one day people of Eubric understand it, and other knowledge." The shade walks back into the shadows, which seems much brighter now. At least, it was more illuminated than the region where the bulk of the group stood. OOC: that works well then
  12. IC: As Tarn caught De'kra, he caught a glimpse of something within De'kra's robs. It was a small light, identical to his two eyes. As De'kra straighened himself he clicked honestly, "I not fine, but I will endure." There was a pause, before De'kra asked with a tint of urgency, "Leader, you ever heard of memories that conflict? I not mean memories that not make sense when analyze, not little errors like that. I mean two or more versions of same event, but different things happen and different end result. Like in one world destroy, in another world save. You hear of something like that?"
  13. IC: De'kra nodded and clicked, "I agree and left." As he stood behind the group De'kra's thoughts drifted to that mage Arthur. Arthur hadn't sent a reply in some time, the fighting most be fierce. Of course, it probably wasn't as fierce as... De'kra almost collapsed as he remembered something. The great city, the powerful city of flying ships and metallic colorful people, it had been destroyed. Airships and mobs had devoured it, and great waves crashed about. How could that city have fallen to such madness? The shade could hardly stand, his whole body tremored. First that planet died, then the city was overtaken by anarchy? Did the islanders die out as well? Was there any hope?
  14. He is odd, but he just seems brainwashed to me, not like a mental deviations. Plus it always risky to talk about less conformist minds, as this is the internet. You never know if someone you are talking to is a member of a neural minority. Posts don't really translate thought patterns or habits, and you can edit them several times before you even initally post it. And if the people you are speaking to have more "typical" minds, their family members might still deviate. Even if you aren't referring to a specific neural group, it still can sting. Not to mention that it isn't a funny matter, but not necessarilly because those who think differently are in pain. You can be a deviation from the "norm" and still live a happy fulfilling existence, one that aids society. No, the reason it isn't funny is because of the things the outside world does. Really, some of the stuff neural typicals do to deviations is third reich worthy, and I am not talking only about obscure radical cults. Eugenics can be quite mainstream, as people look for "cures" for someone who isn't sick. Please don't ask about this though, it's a minefield for me. A few poor choices of words led to all of that, and I completely rewrote it a few times. It was a lot longer originally, and the language was colorful in a different way. Not really colorful as mainstream does it, the language was more...creative and original. Like calling certain groups of "scientists" female hounds who desire the counterpart reproductive group to the point of addiction. In all caps. Really I can get very passionate on this situation. Edit: Plus this is totally off topic, which is entirely my fault. Sorry mods. So on another note, I really feel for those on quest 17. It doesn't look good for their survival. And if they survive this they still have anther round. Still, they lasted this long and they have a list of crazy ideas in this topic, they still have hope.
  15. The one said by letter referring to Quest 24's local religious hominid's mental state. Other people were handling it and it was a misunderstanding, so I was able to resist my need to rant.
  16. ...must...resist...primal...urge...to...rant about...society...again... ...okay, I forced it down. It's easier to swallow than Alisha's comment anyway. More on topic, it appears that Mythril is fair game now, since both quests our kind God-Emperor is hosting feature it.
  17. IC: De'kra clicked, "Group go left? I partial to middle path, but if group start left and reach barrier, group can go back and just go next left most path, which will save time from check map."
  18. Would there be a way to augment those attacks with gems? Like how you can combine a gem with a sword so that a regular knight can wield elemental attacks. So for example you have the power to give a devastating punch with your right hand, so you pay 50 gold to fuse a Topaz to it. Would your right hand now electrify your foes?
  19. Now I know this is unlikely, but could that eel thing be Jörmungandr? It doesn't look that much like a serpent, but I don't know of any Skrull giant eels that it could be. Does this make any sense?
  20. He can carry Althior's gear, so I would guess that he can carry the bombs. Maybe the heroes could build a catapult of sorts and mount it on a cart, allowing them to have a moving turret. That way they can move their defenses in battle, depending on where attacks are coming from.
  21. Despite how cool Quest 17 is, I do not envy you. I would suggest making a hang glider. You can launch it from the highest tower and rain death from above, possibly in the form of bombs/knives. Once the glider lands you will have to climb back up the tower to reset, which would take some time. But on the plus side you could in theory bombard all the elves and contraptions on one side of the wall safely, mauybeall the sides if your QM is feeling generous. Note that I realize how crazy this is in a mostly Medieval world, I am mostly suggesting it in reference in the MST3K viewing of Cave Dwellers. But if it works, it works.
  22. The following post is best imagined being said by a supervillian petting a fluffy cat. Shark tank is optional. Oh that conspiracy note, if you are interested in this character plot point CallMePieOrDie, please send me a private message. That way I can fill you in on part of De'kra's nature, for Khalmchalaz to hint about.
  23. IC: De'kra glanced at the groups leader, and sighed softly. Of course, despite the volume any sigh is loud for De'kra, as he doesn't need to breathe, The shade decided to rest as well, he might as well get some dreams in before they continue. Even as he began to dream finally De'kra remembered the bats of his past.
  24. Well Arthur did send you a message by way of Z-Mail, so you can chat with him now if you chose.
  25. IC: De'kra nodded at the bats, his eyes flaming of faint recognition. He had seen something like this kind of creature before, possibly many different things. As he attacked Bat D from the back row, De'kra couldn't help but feel like the situation could be much worse. Much worse. But in this situation his Prongcanis Dagger should be more than enough for the bats, should all go well.
