IC: De'kra glanced at Arthur closely before looking away. "It not so simple. I not really darkness incarnate, I shadow in different way. I echo of what I was, like ruins of once great city. I think I rename I species echo now, you not the first person to get confuse." OOC: De'kra has become an echo! This changes gameplay in no way whatsoever! IC: De'kra turned back and clicked, "I no think I possess, back home people only able to turn possess if they have no conscious and no spirit. Basically only vulnerable if projecting spirit, or if they fully mechanical. But I think whatever happen, you stop. I still remember you mention "being-who-not-I-but-I," not sure of anything else though. I think that because you kill I could "go funny," it glitch the event and let I remember. Probably best not to talk of that person for now, I might forget again. Sorry for I lash at you, I just not like when I die. It empty, totally empty, and everything around you hurts. Karzahni feels better."
-
IC: A short while passed before De'kra woke up on the floor, panting heavily despite his lack of a respiratory system. As De'kra got up he managed to glare at Arthur despite his lachk of expression. "No kill I," he said firmly, "It hits more than Karzahni. And if you stop slave work in Karzahni, you body turn to stone. Where that come from anyway? It not about that god thing right?" OOC: hooray, we finally have an image of De'kra in the hall. Of course, I am remaking his image soon. Curse you cruel fate, and you too space police 3!
-
IC: De'kra's skin began to glow with lights once more, and he started to collapse. As he hit the ground he muttered in the strange voice, "Nothing ever truly dies, save those who are betrayed." Time passed, and eventually De'kra got back to his feet. "Greetings Arthur," he clicked cheerfully, "I got you message. I glad to hear that war over, though I hear that it has fallout like Quest 4. Hopefully I advice helpful to you on quest. Interesting that there three quests to Dastan, you think there reason for it? It just seem odd that three teams leave Uland at same time to go to same country. By the way, I was think, could you and I use books to coordinate each group of heroes, so they exist not in conflict? Also, why was I on ground? I not die again, right?" OOC: [sarcasm]It is almost like there is a pattern to De'kra's episodes, but where? Where could the pattern be...[/sarcasm]

IC: De'kra's extra eyes faded, and he slowly go his feet. I not die again, right?" Glancing at the nearby discussion De'kra clicked, "Light not equal good either, sometimes light people assume they moral superiority, and that they allow to treat others like dirt...I think I remember good person of dark, though I think he die when he try to stop...something. Something...bad. Something like...oh." A shadow seemed to appear over De'kra, and his posture grew slightly more tense. OOC: sorry, I was watching AMV's.
-
IC: De'kra clutched his head as a wave of memories crashed upon. As he began to lose consciousness his voice changed and echoed about the hall. As he started to collapse De'kra clicked, "I only one of I kind, but there others of I kind. Void knows truth, void hold all save they that escape. Lost, all lost save I. I too strong, strong enough to remember, strong enough to live. Too many care for I to give in. Grandfather knows you Arthur Justus Regulus VII, you his k..." At this point De'kra fell to the ground, his visible "skin" covered in glowing dots, though none as bright as the two on his face. OOC: By Mata-Nui the 1960's Batman show was brilliantly horrible, I just saw the best underwater fight ever.

This is revenge isn't it? Just because De'kra couldn't reply because he was waiting for Byblos to respond doesn't make it right to ignore me when he is standing next to Arthur. Echoes of the past have feelings too you know.

Yeah my sister is trying to get me to look at Korra too, and I am interested too. I tried to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion once, but it wasn't too appealing to me. The pace seemed kind of off, and I couldn't really get into it. From what I hear the ending was kind of a mind-screw also. I think the Rebuild of Evangelion is said to make more sense, but I am not an expert. -
IC: Meanwhile De'kra is still standing by the quest sign up board, wondering why Arthur walked past him. Figuring that it must have been the time distortion, De'kra approached the Mage who appeared to be speaking to the Rogue of the Chicken. "Good to see you Arthur," De'kra clicked, "I glad you quest was successful. I sorry about the Lion Knights in Dastan though, hopefully situation not as bad as fallout of Quest 4.

IC: De'kra returned to the Hall, having found no new answers to his riddles. As he crept in his shadows the shade spotted a note directed towards him. De'kra nodded in response, before noticing that there were three quests, all headed to Dastan. The figure winced at the idea, the three groups of heroes might be cut off from their felows, and accidentally sabotage the efforts of the other groups. It would be like Quest 4 all over again, and even Quest 17 stil has some fallout. But maybe there was a way to stop it, and make a truly positive difference...

Poor Breach... ...Never thought I would say that about a Yandere, although her status as one is debatable. More on topic, I have to say I am almost sad that Quest 17 has ended, it was a lot of fun to read, and to try to come up with ideas for De'kra to suggest. Especially since De'kra's advanced technology doesn't line up well with Uland tech.
-
I know, but I am waiting for a reply in the library. Of course I could use my time distortion excuse to explain how De'kra could write a letter in the middle of talking to Byblos.
-
...you know, life is good. By the way, De'kra asked Byblos for information on Dastan, can you reply? Sorry De'kra can't go on quest involving Wren, on account of his nature. Oh it would be interesting to see them interact, but De'kra has a passive ability to have his mind shielded from mental powers. It isn't always active, and he can't control when the barrier appears, but it would make hearing messages from her hard. But on the plus side,

So now we have two quest to Dastan running at once. Did you both plan this? Will the actions of one quest cause ramifications for the other?

I have not yet checked out Legend of Korra, as I am too worried that it will fail to meet expectations. I have heard a lot of good things about the first two episodes, but I worry that the formula has changed too much. Not that I am against the tech, the rate of advancements makes sense to me. But an aggressive Avatar just feels wrong to me, especially after so much time with Aang. I will still watch it of course. I would suggest you check out Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, as it is the single greatest creation in the history of mankind. Some might say that is a little to strong, but it was the only Anime I really got into. It just made me feel so...alive. I can't describe it better than that, but I firmly recommend checking it out. And so Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes returned, and I was met with disappointment that the voiceover still covers up the opening theme. Still, Doom was awesome. -
I looked at that too, and it proves our point. Normal attacks refer to attacks without elemental powers, not elementals other than Light. Would you say a sword that creates fire is "normal?" Maybe it is less unusual in a world of magic, but it isn't normal. It has been observed in other quests that all elements hurt the undead, the only useless attackls are normal attacks. Again, check the gem list not three pages above that page, if all attacks were powerless against the undead it would be mentioned in their "doesn't affect" sections. There is no spot for normal attacks since they have no gem and they affect all but one type of creature the same way, thus it is mentioned in the creature section. Also, Light would be quite overpowered if it was the only gem that can affect the undead. Edit: ...and again others are faster than me
-
I think that is false. While normal attacks don't affect them, any elemental attack will do damage, even if from a weapon. Light attacks do much more damage, but any gem can harm the undead. The rules do state that undead creatures are immune to normal attacks but healing hurts them, however there is no rule that I found that states that elements other than light are useless against the undead. And tThe only mention of undead in the gem effects is that diamonds are super effective, if other gems were useless undead would be listed in every "doesn't affect" section aside from Diamond. Edit: and its already commented on.

IC: De'kra sighed as he put down the last of the books. Try as he might the name "Kapura" did not show up in any record, at least not in the books he searched. And if it was going to be anywhere, those records would have them. Tucking the paper bound records back into their respective homes, De'kra turned his attention to the other matter on his mind. The shade approached the librarian and clicked, "There quest to Dastan empire I might travel on, exist you have information on that empire? Political landscape, local wildlife, technology, anything will exist as useful."
-
IC: Noting that the barbarian had recovered, De'kra left the Hall to visit the library. If he was chosen for Quest 29, it would be a good idea to get more information on the Dastan Empire.
-
Really? I guess I must have merged two quests together in my mind. I blame the fact that De'kra 's last quest featured a giant spider.
-
...That dragon is the thing nightmares are made of. Is it even legal to make a foe that strong? And worst of all this is only the Quest's third foe, there could be worse things within.
-
It all depends on the quest you are on, but I would say that they are both useful. Also, if you bind a Topaz to your battle ax of water, it will nulify your gem's current weakness to aquatic foes. The ax would be useless against electric foes, but you also be able to deal major damage to mechanical entities and fliers, along with flaming foes and rock monsters. That is, if I understand the rules right.
-
IC: De'kra notices that the shirtless man has recovered, before spotting that a new quest has been unlocked. Best of all it is to the Dastan Empire, one of the places of Olegaia that seems very familiar. He might find clues to his past there, and they even request Rogues. This could work out great. Quickly De'kra signs up for Quest 29, before turning his attention back to the Shaman. The shade kept his distance, as the other infected person still lingered like a bear towards their territory, and De'kra that he ould take the elf in a fight. De'kra honestly didn't trust Dak's words, he left out too much information and his descriptions were not the best. Maybe he assumed De'kra woud hve a point of refernce or something, but the words he used seemed...shallow. Some aspects of it sounded like a brotherhood, but with the connotation and lack of deeper meaning, it sounded more like insanity. Not to mention that Dk had recently lost his memory and has had many mental issues, he would not be a reliable source. De'kra will have to wait or Tomas to confirm this information, as De'kra trusts him despite his potential gullibility. Either way De'kra hoped that the Shman would improve coon, so that he could depart for the library.

I would go with the mirror in Quest 10. Of all the enemies, it was the closest to killing all the heroes of a team. The only way it would have been better is if the mirror copies it spawned talked to their counterparts, toying with them and abusing their flaws. It also would be interesting if the foes weren't constructs, but versions of the heroes from a "mirror" universe.
-
Edit: so this post was pretty much out of place, so I decided to destroy it. Instead I will ask the more on topic question, who has been your favorite opponent in Heroica? Which enemy combatant, named or otherwise, has interested you the most?
-
IC: De'kra paused and remarked, "That...weird. I think I remember some squids back home that multiple like that, they fleshy like humans so maybe that connection. Humans come from eggs as well? Either way, I never heard of that action before, and I get feeling that it not because I forgot it. People in I home not made by this rove, and I also never saw anyone act like that. Of course people back home care for each other, lay lives for each other, but not because of rove. I people care for each other because they tightly woven group. Pretty much everyone know everyone else's name in villages, they all brothers and sisters to each other. First of three virtues are unity, and I villagers follow it well. But they feel no rove, and neither I feel it. I see Makuta as great ally, noble protector, and friend, and care about her, but I feel no flux of emotion in her presence save if she in danger or see each other aftrer long time apart. I not able to feel this rove. It...beyond what I feel. Or maybe it beneath what I feel, I not sure where, only that it out of I emotional range. But shouldn't Hakldor exist as focus of concern right now?" OOC: To be quite honest you have a better chance of a calculator feeling romatic love than De'kra. He is A' all the way. (I have waited so long to say that)
