OOC: sorry Tomas IC: De'kra clicked, "I not sure exactly, but I have suspicion. Let I start at beginning. In I time in Uland, I notice behavior in certain heroes, where heroes get very distract and dreamy about other heroes, often in groups of two. A hero a while back, I think it was a rogue, explain that this beavior plague, one that corruptr heroes and make them ineffective because they too busy thinking about other hero. Wise Sage Tomas say that it not a plague but a necessary part of human life, but he has not given details yet. He seem uncomfortable though." De'kra continued, "Shaman here first person I know caught plague, that and elf rogue. At first it seem like a quirk of he, although that hero had already told I about plague by then. But when I later saw Heroica Hall, tons of heroes were sick. I had assume it was attack by Wren to weaken Heroica Hall, and distract heroes and disease. After that on Quest 20 Tomas told I that disease necessary by way of ledders, but I know that necessary not equal good. He said he explain disease to I in person. But he on quest now, so I still wait for explaination" "Before things went to Karzahni I was talk to Makuta, fellow member of Quest 4," continued De'kra, "I trust Makuta, as she help I when I lost memories again, and she and I were talk about Quest she and I take since then. Makuta not her true name by way, I call here that in respect as Makuta were powerful people of shadow in I memories. Anyway Shaman was nearby, which put not I at ease. Since Makuta teammate I no want her to get sick, though I also try to trust Tomas and not panic. So I watch shaman out of I eye corner, to defend. He notice I look, and he seem to get very tense. I remember see something like that before, on hero from I past was possessed by parasite that control his mind and body. That hero struggle to fight it and eventually he did, but that not here or there. There was period of uneasy glances, though I not sure why he upset and I. I did notice he pay attention to his bag though." "Then he offer Makuta to sit nearby, which make I very concern. I not sure how big radius of this infection, but closer usually mean more risk. So I turn head around to watch him directly. I think that what set he off, or the fact that elf Rogue walk over then. Personally I think it his disease act up, but Tomas had not warn I to avoid sick people, so I not sure. Either way he lunge for I, and I pull out I dagger to defend. Then he collapse randomly. Judge by strain on he face, he was fight urge to attack I. I think Shaman won against urge, which why I not slam into wall by him." "In conclusion," summerized De'kra, "I think he attack not of free will. It either disease or something else, maybe reason he look in bag. I know from Quest logs that he and elf rogue have multiple encounters and Wren, so she also might exist as source of influence. But I well aware that I don't understand Uland ways, so I might have got things wrong. You have any specific questions now?"

I suggest taking a page from Link's handbook, and make bomb arrows. Or alternatively attach a bomb to an Australian weapon, and make a Boom-erang.

IC: De'kra stared briefly in surprise at Haldor's fallen body, weapon still In the shaman's hand. The Rogue had pulled out Kapura just as patient zero had charged, as he had seen the attack coming. But he hadn't expected the figure to collapse onto the ground. The northern had seemed quite strained as he tried to attack, that was what tipped De'kra off to the coming strike after all, could the shirtless one have not wanted to attack De'kra? But then why do so, unless the plague was more than just a sickness that distracted people and made them "silly." Patient one had just spoken to the northern, could that have triggered the urge to commit violence? The ebony entity couldn't help but feel a little bad about his distrust of the shaman. Yes the shirtless one was dangerous and infected, but it was not his fault that he was insane. Just like it wasn't the fault of those villagers... Either way the shade finds it odd that the others in this region of the hall don't seem to concerned, though he might be reading their expressions wrong. Lowering his dagger, De'kra cautiously approached the shaman and asked the group, "This normal for humans? Or he not fine?"
-
Karzahni, I had so much money riding on Docken. I should have known not to bet against a Skrall in the arena, they never lose.
-
IC: De'kra dropped all subtly and slowly turned to look at patient zero with his emotionless gaze. Honestly it was all De'kra could do not to tense up. This infected creature was getting a little too close to a member of De'kra's team, and like a wolf he didn't like outsiders near his pack, specifically those who could harm it. He had the self control not to ready his weapons for battle or shift his body movements into hostile motions, but his eyes never left the shirtless one.

Anyone else notice the common theme with Alexis's summons? Opal: snow/hail Topaz: lightning Aquamarine: rain It seems all of them are connected to the weather. Maybe her next gem will be a Sapphire?
-
IC: De'kra nodded in interest as he half listened and remarked, "I not familar and word ledder, back home everything was written by machine, or carve on tablets. Closest thing I home had in texture to ledders were capes, and capes were not common." As he said thia De'kra couldn't help but notice that the shirtless figure was still watching him. zThere was a instensity in the northern's gaze, though he seemed almost confused. Why was patient zero so nervous? Was it because De'kra was immune?
-
I believe you can first see this plot point in Quest 12, when Haldor was interacting with Tesni. Edit: not the snake thing, I mean what is in Haldor's bag
-
IC: De'kra noticed that patient zero had started to stare at him in turn. Was it because De'kra was watching him so closely? De'kra did have a flawed grasp of social norms, but from his memories the shade knew that staring at someone intensely was not the best course of action. But De'kra had to watch him, to see if the disease still lingered within the shirtless man. De'kra remembered that Tomas claimed that the plague was necessary, but not all necessary parts of life are good. So De'kra could only keep watching, though he tried to do it more subtly.
-
IC: De'kra couldn't help but notice the shirtless man nearby. He looked familiar, but only vaguely. As he glanced on De'kra realized that this was patient zero, the originator of the roam ant Icism plague that haunted the halls. That reminded De'kra that the sickness appeared to have died out while he was away. Perhaps all the situation required was time to destroy the disease, or maybe it was a seasonal thing. Either way, it was uncomfortable to see patient zero so close to Cinna, even if he was no longer contagious.

IC: De'kra nodded vaguely and clicked, "Last few messages Arthur sent were very nervous, from sound of messages last assault was about to start, but enemy forces were enormous. Hopefully they survive. I think one of heroes on Quest 17 was and heroes and I on Quest 4, specifically barbarian that heroes and I left and elves. So at least one of heroes and I help to fix mistake of heroes and I."
-
I believe that happened as well, but De'kra might not know about it yet.
-
IC: De'kra shrugged and click, "I not know, he sent message first, I only reply. Other heroes might know more, I think I saw not-hero rogue write one on Quest 20. I know that messages were on same color...fabric...that was color...light red?" After a brief pause, De'kra clicked, "Arthur from far away, at least from what I note. He currently on Quest 17, clean up mess I made in Quest 4. He has slight air of scholar, if I translate that word right, and from sound of his messages he know his way around seige weapons. He class mage and power over ice, though he not cold in attitude like ice villagers back home. He also think that Quest 4 not our faults, and that war would have happen anyway. I might misread his behavior, but he seem to think no mistake irredeemable if you try to make up for it, and that mistakes are not same as crimes. He seem nice in general, but Quest 4 show I been wrong before." "Yeah," he continued, "I talk to him during Quest 20 from mountains to Northern Uland, it go far. I not sure how his technology works, but I believe his family made it." OOC: Bionicle: a world where paper is considered weird.
-
And then De'kra spoke to Cinna...
-
IC: De'kra clicked, "Not more sense necessarily, but I remember more of I past now. Pieces of memories are start to lock together, people have faces and names now. Well, I only remember one name. I plan to look for it in library, maybe find clue. There are other clues as well, but I have feeling they not as useful. The name probably not useful either, but it something." After a pause De'kra clicked, "You hear from Tomas? I spoke to him lot during quest, thank to mail system, he might have sent you something. Also, there Mage I speak to name Arthur, he seem to have research you. He good person from what I see, he try to help I over I guilty, and he got clever mind. He gave I book that allow he and I to send instant messages over long distances, technology behind it made by his family. I had use it to give he ideas on how to help Lion Knights against elven armies, as he in Quest 17."
-
IC: As De'kra prepared to head to the library, he caught sight of Cinna. Glad to see another familiar face, the shade walked over to the mage and clicked, "Makuta, it good to see you. How was you quest to help Zeigfierd?"
-
It's funny because of Quest 20, when De'kra was literally in a gold mine. More on the discussion at hand, I had an idea for a time travel quest that might have pushed the law. I have since abandoned the idea, but I tend to recycle old concepts in new plans, so it might still be relevant. In the quest, while exploring the post apocalyptic landscape; the questing heroes come upon the graves of the last six veterans of Heroica. These six heroes would be PC's like Cronk, Althior, Skrall, and so on. Now as I said I abandoned the idea, and either way it would have taken place in a potential future that wasn't set in stone. Likewise the plans I had couldn't work in canon, because of some unknown factors, and the characters were never really seen or interacted with. Still, in case I ever decide to reuse aspects of that plan for a quest, would anyone object to their characters being veterans in the future? I probably won't use the idea because my mind has already jumped to other plans, but I might as well get it out of the way just in case.

IC: De'kra shook his head and clicked, "I honestly not know much of other worlds, I know of two worlds for sure, but they same planet. Basically two worlds are twins, and same history and geography. In one twin that world becomes destroy, in other twin world save by scientists...That make I worried though, as Olegaia share many features and two worlds. What if Olegaia a third time-path, and it Source soon found?" The shade answered with a click, "Yes, I molded hilt after him. Well, his third form anyway, he was rebuilt twice. I...don't remember he first form, but I sure he had one."
-
IC: De'kra nodded slowly and clicked, "armies of solely metal...I knew something like that once. Scientists on...planet I knew...built army of assassin machines. It long story, but basically six nations were fight over powerful fluid from planet's core that destroy or transform whatever it touch, depend on destiny. Nations want Source to gain new power, but in fight and mine fluid, it began to destroy planet. Scientists program machines to attack anyone who carried weapons. That way nations of that planet would stop fighting, and planet won't become destroy. Scientists fail though, one of armies had already dug up Source, and planet die in explosion." De'kra glanced at Hybros and asked, "You okay?" The shade was still widely unaware of this world's customs, but he knew a distracted mind at the least.
-
IC: De'kra's "eyes" radiated with excitement as he clicked, "You see Ji Pei? What they like? You able to describe they technology? Did they seem like fusion of organic life and metal? Can you replicate they accent? They click words too? They have any symbols center around number six or three, maybe and swirls?" Gradually De'kra calmed and added, "Sorry, I very interest in Ji Pei. Rumors I hear of they technology sound familiar to I, and I wonder if they connect to I past. Right now no hero I know has seen Ji Pei, so I excite for information."
-
IC: De'kra dipped his head in greeting to Hybros, and clicked, "Things good for I. Employer no manipulate group on quest, and I remember more of I past. I even remember an individual and individual's name. He villager of fire back home, though he elemental power limit to extreme resistance to heat. Kapura was weird among fire villagers, he always move slow. But he had strange power to concentrate on a place he was not, and he would arrive there. He never call it teleportation though. I plan to look for information on him in Library." "Quest not perfect though," De'kra added after a brief pause, "One rogue of group had many glitches in his mind, he head silent voice, lost his memory, regained bulk of his memory, had split personality, and that just what I notice. And other rogue not the best diplomat, from what I see he prefer to kill and steal. I forget how many times he imply he will kill me, that not fun. Death painful enough, I died on Quest 4 and violent emptiness try to rip me apart. I took steps against the emptiness, but I still no want to see void again. But what make that worse is I became very cold to his words. I felt like I no care what he enact or say, and I think I also try to provoke him. It was like different voice spoke for I, though it was just as much I voice as now. I think part of old I resurface then, I could exist very cold in I memories. I not like that feeling." Shaking his head of that De'kra clicked, "How you last quest? I heard you were on Quest 15, it go good? See anything odd? You see a sage call Tomas here?" OOC: De'kra doesn't have multiple personalities and he isn't possessed, his cold side has a different origin.

IC: Still weighted down with gold, De'kra walked over to Gnomeo's stall to get some more equipment. Putting forty gold on the table, the shade selected a shovel and a magnifying glass, before moving on. He still had 174 gold, which was quite a bit more than he needed. Heading to Anywl once more, the shade glanced over the items available. He had plenty of blades already, but he wanted something else. De'kra already what advanced class he would become when he became level 15, ever since Quest 4 he had known. Perhaps it was time to prepare for that day. The shade handed the "dwarf" fifty pieces of gold, before selected one of the Fauxthril Hand Cannons. It was useless to him at the moment, but once he became n assassin, it would all be clear. The shade still didn't like the look of the device, but he knew it better than a bow. He couldn't remember seeing a true bow anywhere in his memories, but hand cannons he had seen plenty of. It was familiar at any rate. Now he was down to 124 gold, still a great deal of money. Finally the shade stopped by Portia, and selected three potions, one remedy, one Phoenix Essence, one smoke bomb, an Ice Bomb, and a Water Bomb. De'kra handed in 100 gold, leaving him at a respectable 24 gold.

It is good to know the cause of the varying battle difficulties, I can see the difficulties in tweaking a Level one quest for a group of level ten and level seven heroes. My thoughts on the pace were already brought up by others, so I can't really add anything to that. Thank you for hosting for us, and I apologize for complaining so much near the start.

OOC: I know nothing of forging IC: As De'kra entered the marketplace, he exchanged his piece of gold ore for 80 gold, bringing his total to 364 gold. The shade winced as he struggled against the gold's great weight, his movements more of a shuffle than a walk. Gradually he lumbered over to the stand of Elphaba, and collapsed against a wheel. After a few minutes spent building up the strength and will, De'kra stood up, and exchanged 100 gold for one of the gleaming Rubies. The gem was warm to the touch, it's inner fire power just beneath the surface. There was something nostalgic about stones that grant it's ones great power, it reminded De'kra of home. Of course this gem won't transform his body and give him the active his latent elemental power, but it is the closest he had here. Now with 264 gold, the shade moved on to complete his task. De'kra approached Anywl Smokebeard, who was smiling oddly beneath his beard. As the "dwarf" turned to face De'kra, the shade outlined the task at hand, handing in fifty gold, his writ of blacksmith service, and the ruby. Now down to 214 gold, De'kra watched as the blacksmith prepared to get to work. Night fell upon the market as the forge of Anywl flared up, sparks of crimson flying from the flames into the sky. Beside the fire was De'kra's Fang Dagger, his oldest true weapon. He had neglected it over his adventures, relying on his stronger blades instead of the organic tool. That had been fine in the past, but his encounter with those wolves had changed that. He had been carrying around a chunk of a formerly living creature, and not even using it. That could not stand. Grabbing the Fang Dagger in his tongs, Anywl plunged it into the vat above the flames. Metal laced itself into the bone, merging into it's cracks and weak spots. The "dwarf" pounded into the tool, merging the metal and bone. The Direwolf's tooth held firm, it's strong bony structure resisted the heat and molten metal with ease. As the fusion of metal and bone began to cool, Anywl began to shape the hilt, pounding and twist the metal into the ape-like design. As the weapon neared completion, the blacksmith fused to Ruby within the sword, completing the dagger. De'kra dipped his head in thanks as he felt the blade. The fusion of elemental power, organic material, and metal felt beautiful to De'kra's touch. The dagger felt so much like home, like the people who lived there. He could hear the birdsongs in the forests, the sounds of waves crashing on the beach, and the scent of charred trees. This was home, or at least as he would get for now. As he held the blade outstretched De'kra glanced at the hilt design he had requested. It was carved in the image of one of the villagers back home, it's long arms forming the guard of the dagger. The hilt-figure had the mask of night vision, which glowed with the fire of a Ruby. As De'kra rubbed the blade slowly, the name of a villager rose to the surface of his mind. It was the only name he remembered from back home, and he had modeled the figure after those memories. With a seemingly slow slice, De'kra named the blade. "Kapura," he clicked, as the WP:5 Ruby infused blade spark with flames.

IC: Sunlight pierced De'kra's back as he reached Heroica Hall. The light of the day star still burnt into his mind, crippling him with the more horrific of all emotions. The shade tremored as the light hit him, though he was at a lose as to why. Those who harnessed light in his memories were not particular cruel, save for a villager. Of course that might be the point, that they seemed like good people. De'kra shook his head of these thoughts for the moment, he had something else to do. Rumors claimed that the bright green trader has returned, and De'kra had need of their services. He had neglected one of his weapons too long, it was time for it to be upgraded.
