Ah yes. 75304, my favorite DC set. There may or may not be a leak of the Superman minifigure from the upcoming movie. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have leg printing, but he does have a red waist. The torso looks maybe a bit too clean, making me a bit wary, but the new head looks real. He is the regular blue, which fits, and thankfully has a spongy cape.

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

In addition to that, the mansion is dark orange, and it looks like you can see a gap at the bottom which I’m assuming is a 16x32 baseplate attached to the 32x32 one. I’m not sure if we got confirmation of the footprint before, but if it is true, then that’s good. Also, the full image seems to be from part of an official promotion. Hopefully we’ll see the rest soon. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures

A few random thoughts about ANH: I was wondering if we will ever get a variant of Leia with her hood up from the beginning. It’s one of her most iconic scenes, and they could make it a small diorama, not that those really happen. The Lars homestead could be a nice, smaller diorama, too. Hopefully we’ll get it in some form for the 50th anniversary, at least Additionally, I’ve always wanted a Bantha mold. We also need an accurate ANH Han with the V-neck and dual-molded legs. Finally, a Death Star in the same vein as the midi-scale ships would be neat, too. A RotJ version would also be nice. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

“Ah, now, eventually, you do plan to have minifigures in your- in your minifigure series, right?” I just hope that these builds do not come with a raise in cost. -

What if they just included Daredevil from She-Hulk and Kingpin from Hawkeye? I’m not sure that would work, but I wouldn’t mind it as a way to get them. -

Honestly, for me at least, the ideal thing would be to make them their own sets in the same vein as the up-scaled minifigure from a couple of years ago. They could do a Sentinel, Galactus, and Giant Man, and if they throw in a few minifigures, they could/would easily bump up the price. -

If this is true, then LEGO really likes changing MCU Sam’s wings every single time he appears: Civil War: new mold Infinity War: brick-built CMF: new mold Avengers Tower: brick-built (new method) Brave New World: new mold (presumably) I was hoping that the BNW wings would be the same as the CMF ones, but I guess not. Odd. -
The year is 2025. DC was just revived with the critically acclaimed “Superman” film. It’s such a hit, merchandise is lining the shelves everywhere. Everywhere, except for LEGO. The only DC set released is “DCEU: Suicide Squad: Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne disguised as Batman with his Batmobile versus Jared Leto’s The Joker and his Car: the Chase.” For $80 and 502 pieces, this set includes only Batfleck and Leto’s Joker, the latter being the only new minifigure. Harley Quinn is missing, and the minifigure from Apocalypseburg goes up even more in price on the aftermarket. People complain, but no one can resist getting this HUNKA HUNKA! Obviously, I would love sets based on Superman, and then more comic sets, but I would actually not be opposed to getting a minifigure of Leto’s Joker.

Agreed on Arkham being more likely. Another possible factor could be that the Bugle is still available (seemingly until the end of 2025), so if they made the Daily Planet, then that would be two superhero news-based skyscrapers. Sure, they have different characters and one has a globe on top, but the interiors are likely to be repetitive. Oscorp Tower could make sense with the perceived pattern of skyscraper D2Cs in odd years and non-skycrapers in even years. Like the other skyscrapers, many of the minifigures who would be in the set are available at the same time, which bodes well, as the others had multiple reuses. Then again, that’s using “patterns” to predict, so maybe not. -

My brother wanted the Jaws set (third of the Spielberg dioramas), so we went to the LEGO Store today, and I got a couple of the August releases. For Star Wars, it was interesting to see that the only set that was sold out was the Dark Falcon, and they had four slots(?) full of Jedi Bob’s Starfighter. I got and built C-3PO, and I have to say that I think it’s great. The sculpting and details are very well done, and I absolutely love his pose, down to the lean. It’s a sturdy build with great techniques and piece usage. I will say, the color of the new dome and slope molds on his head, as well as a few other pieces, do not quite match the same color as the rest of the pearl gold pieces. Thankfully, it’s not too noticeable, but it is disappointing, quality-standards wise. It is nice to be able to get the dual-molded C-3PO, though. -

Ah, choosing what should be a set based on the amount of screen time it gets. A practice that is most secret to LEGO (see: AT-ST Raider, Wookiee Gunship, First Order Snowspeeder, First Order Heavy Scout Walker, and the Mobile Tac-Pod). Those are just before their affiliated media releases. The Justifier and the Quadjumper both came out *after.* What I’m most curious about is why LEGO didn’t make a set. Every (or almost every) canon movie or show since TPM (not counting 2003 CW, Visions, or shorts like TotJ) has gotten at least one set, typically upon release. I personally believe that this has nothing to do with the show’s reception, whatever that may be. LEGO sets go into production about a year in advance. Nobody had seen the Acolyte then, so “reception” wasn’t a factor, and people saying “who wants this?” or stuff like that isn’t a factor, either, because I have seen that said for every single show other than the Mandalorian. Also, there have been controversial or proclaimed “not good” movies/shows in the past, but that hasn’t stopped them from getting sets. I mean, conceptually, the idea that the one thing LEGO doesn’t make a set for is the one about a bunch Jedi versus the Sith does not make sense to me. When I was younger, and to an extent, now, some of the sets I wanted were wanted because they looked cool or came with cool minifigures. There is not currently an available set of a bunch of Jedi versus Sith, so this would fulfill that slot, at least to me. My current line of thinking is that a set was delayed due to a mixture of the show’s release being changed and also due to potential spoilers. Before the show came out, the Mae and Osha twin aspect wasn’t well known. Additionally, they might not have gotten art of the Sith character (or their identity) but wanted to include them, and so waited until after so it wouldn’t be a spoiler. This is all just speculation, but, as is the way with our own opinions, I find logic in this line of thinking. Also, I am one of the ones who wants a set based on the Jedi with new robes and Sith with a cool helmet. I am not saying that I would like an Acolyte set before anything else. There is a lot more I would prefer, but if an Acolyte set came out, I might get it. Now, LEGO does not cater specifically to my wants and tastes, as much as I would like that, so we will just have to wait and see what does come out. -
Disney Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

My friend and I joke that Ned from the No Way Home Statue of Liberty set looks just like David, so he’ll fit perfectly here! I’m really hoping for Jumba and Pleakley, as they’re the most iconic characters outside of the main duo. Five figures (them plus Nanny) seems reasonable for $90. My unreasonable hope is for a buildable Gantu, but that’s something I’ll likely have to make myself. Exabricks said it was for winter 2025. My first assumption was December 2025, which would be a long ways away. Logically, it seems like it would be January or after, which I like a lot better. -

The Monkey’s Paw hall of armor: only includes new versions of suits we’ve already gotten, but it introduces a new Tony Stark head. It is interesting how we keep getting it, but it makes sense, as it’s a good way to release more Iron Man suits. Unless, of course, they want to make a new Iron Man 3 set, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. In other news, there may or may not possibly be some leaked footage of the Fantastic Four teaser that was shown. I love the aesthetic and cannot wait to see what they do for the sets (if they make any, which they hopefully will). -
What we need is the classic Super Friends suit. All the better to steal forty cakes. The real question, though, is what head will Lex have? His old re-used head hasn’t been seen for a few years. Will he get a new one? Or will he reuse another one? My vote would be the Tom Riddle head for preference, but the Avenger’s Tower Hawkeye one for probability.

I feel like I remember the C-3PO minifigure with the buildable 3PO being reported as not have the dual-molding. Koska Reeves was said to be in the battle pack, too. Otherwise, if you count the droid factory set being called a “creature build” and if you count price differences, there are those. -

The sets are both good for what they are, but overpriced. I’m not too disappointed by the lack of Enoch, as he’ll presumably be coming some time (the movie, at the latest), and he deserves to be done properly. It’s nice that Ahsoka gets arm-printing again, and I’m wondering what head they’ll use for the Night Trooper. The build is interesting. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it fits the scene. The skiff looks a little short, and while the Sarlacc’s build is nice, they definitely don’t seem like $80 worth of stuff. With the upcoming Sail Barge, now would have been the perfect time for a proper RotJ Boba. Maybe with Jabba’s Palace, then. The other minifigures all look good, but my friend and I noticed something about Han. His shirt fold is on the opposite side of what it used to be. Rewatching the scenes, the older one was accurate to the battle, but this one matches the scene of Han and Luke talking on the way to the Sarlacc. I’ll give them this as a variant, as Han’s new face fits the one he gives Luke at “Convenient.” -

I agree about the price of the droid factory (but not the droid factory I was looking for). $100 for a fun mix-and-match set seems too steep, so we’ll have to see how well it does. More “official” looking images of the set are out, including images of Young Leia and L0-LA, who is indeed a printed 2x2 dish, like the type they put underneath ships. L0-LA also has a 2x2 round tile with a hole in the middle connected to the dish for Leia’s hand. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn’t that. Leia does get a new face print, though. -

Another picture of 3PO is out. Fortunately, it does come with the dual-molded minifigure, which is excellent. The bottom of his hands look to be stickered, and the set also includes a 25th anniversary brick. I guess R2 gets an exclusive anniversary minifigure and 3PO just gets a brick. It’s his lot in life. -

It’s not really what was expected, but it sort-of fits what we’ve heard. It sounds like it could be a fun set. It almost reminds me of the build-a-droid sections that they would have at Disney. -

Failed, I have. It was meant to be sarcastic, probably should have used the emoji. I agree that Young Leia will likely not be a sought after addition, which is a shame considering the rest of the anniversary minifigures are great. I mean, technically speaking, we got the most popular clone, highly detailed, back in a cheap retail set, widely available to the public. One year ago that would have been lauded. Aren’t we supposed to be getting a clone/Mon Calamari clone in Jedi Bob’s Starfighter, too? -

A buildable Babu Frik along the lines of Grogu could be cool, and they could finally include a baby-fig (is that what they’re called?) of Babu in there. I’m not sure it would sell the best, though, even if it were to have the enticement of the exclusive Young Leia anniversary minifigure.
