Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Rwbricks replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Totally agree about the Thunderbolts. Not being able to make the team, especially not if you’re a newer fan who missed the Black Widow and earlier sets, is a shame. Hopefully we’ll get the missing characters in the Avengers sets. I especially agree about missing John, as he is the trickiest figure to make. This is the closest I’ve come up with this Hank Pym’s torso from the 2015 Ant-Man set: I’m not a huge fan of the lip on the helmet, but it’s the best piece available. Also, I think the boots may be darker in the film, but I liked how these looked. For Red Guardian, I think the torso from Falcon from the blister pack works the best. -

Ooh, I hadn’t thought of that! Hopefully we do get those boots. Agreed about Galactus. I really hope they do him justice. Ideally, at least for me, he’d be done in the same method as the brick-built minifigure, but something like Arishem is probably more likely. As long as it’s just him and there’s no Fantasticar or side build taking up the parts (as cool as that car is). I am hopeful that we’ll get a new torso for Mary Jane, but I fear that a reused head is likely. Has it been said whether Gwen in Oscorp is her in civilian attire or her spider suit? I had assumed it was her spider suit, as that’s what we’ve usually gotten and is pretty typically shorthanded to just “Gwen,” like how Miles usually refers to him in his suit. A regular Gwen in her comic outfit would be great, though. Now I’m hoping for that. -

I got the Cap 4 set as a gift, and I actually like it more than I thought I would. The mini figures/big-fig are all really good, and the jet reminds me of the classic $20-$30 super hero sets (which is not great for $55). The strangest thing, though, is that for the stickers that go on dark bluish grey pieces, the background pretty much perfectly matches the old dark grey. Definitely not great in terms of quality, but an odd coincidence. -
I remember it being September, too. From my recollection, it was originally supposed to be June, but then leakers said it was delayed. Unfortunately, that means it’ll likely be longer to wait for details and images, but I’m interested to see how it stacks against the Black Pearl, which I believe is also supposed to be releasing in September. EDIT: thebrickreporter posted a few updates about Arkham, said to be sourced from a.clay.brick. This post says that Arkham will indeed be coming out in September, and also that it supposedly has 10-15 minifigures. That last part has me hopeful again.

[OFFICIAL] LEGO Icons 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship
Rwbricks replied to CloneCommando99's topic in LEGO Pirates
This is why I’m holding out hope that the figure list is incomplete. The majority of the suggestions that I see for future sets are other ships: the Dutchman, Queen Anne’s Revenge, etc. Barbossa doesn’t fit into any of them, and the Pearl is the main ship that he’s associated with. He even has it for most of the first movie! He’s also, from what I can tell, one of the three most popular PotC characters, so it doesn’t make sense not to include him with his ship, especially when there aren’t many options to naturally include him afterwards. -

Agreed on needing more affordable good system sets. I wish they didn’t stop making the $20 duels sets (even though they’d cost more nowadays). There was so much potential. -

Technically, they made Julia Carpenter this year, who was featured in the critically acclaimed Madame Web. While it’s not the Web herself, it’s something, I think. Agreed about the minifigures. Hopefully Spidey will at least have his dual-molded legs, but that doesn’t feel likely. -

He was originally said not to be coming in the initial report, but then Ashnflash said that he is coming in it, so it’s become a bit muddled. Additionally, I don’t remember if it was here or somewhere else, but someone pointed out that Ultron’s legs in the Iron Man mech are a 1:1 match for his legs in AoU. -

I appreciate the list. It’s a neat way to see the distribution. I believe that it was reported that Maul in the mech would be the Clone Wars robot legs version, but I don’t remember who said that. -

I definitely agree with your first paragraph. Hopefully 2026 is more balanced. In regards to the second paragraph, I do like the fact that this year, we’re getting Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Ki-Adi Mundi, Aayla Secura, Plo Koon, and Asajj Ventress. Granted, I will not be getting the sets with them (except for Plo), and more new/overdue characters would be even better. Still, part of me is glad not all sets are solely clones, and that characters are returning after being unavailable for a while. The new Slave I is interesting. As someone who doesn’t have Jango but was not going to get the UCS, I am happy at this opportunity. However, I wonder how they’ll handle the minifigures, specifically Jango. Will it be like Rex, where the same Jango is reused? Or will it be like C-3PO, where they create a new part so that the more detailed one remains exclusive? -
I remember being slightly confused at the pricing of the ‘66 Batmobile for $35, then the Tumbler for $40, and then the The Batman Batmobile for $30. Ah, to go back. I agree about the “UCS Jr.” remark. It definitely feels like that, though it feels like Star Wars and Marvel (to a lesser extent) have already gotten there. I’m not sure if it was intentional or not, but I like that Batman is not included in your minifigure lineup.
-
Built in scale to the Brickheadz Batman 8-pack. This way, the fans can choose which Batman they want it to be based on! The only actual character included in the set is the small bird piece in red, referred to as “a Robin.” If it were based on that, I would hope for Bane, too. I looked at the minifigures included in the Shadow Box, and I counted nine new prints. Three of those were also available in the polybag released at the same time, so it could be six, but I doubt the polybag was developed first.

This head from the Build-A-Minifgure section at LEGO Stores could potentially work: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3626pb3327&name=Minifigure, Head Alien Black Eyes, Dark Turquoise Eye Shadow and Dots, Nose with Tentacles, Dark Green Wrinkles, White Teeth Pattern (BAM)&category=[Minifigure, Head]#T=C&C=34 It’s not the most accurate, but it’s the closest I know of. -
I told my brother that the Batcave has turned into a $100 Batmobile with one minifigure, and he responded that LEGO sees DC as Don’t Care. I wish I could say he’s wrong. Although it’s baffling to me, as last year we had the amazing Gotham City Skyline set. I know it’s not the most accessible, but it’s seems like there was passion behind the set, with all of the details and references, and the new concept, and even the quality of the minifigures. Where did that go? Hopefully to Arkham.

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Rwbricks replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
According to updates on Discord, Oscorp will not be a proper build of the tower, but rather just the front. The set is described as a street, with Oscorp as the main building in the middle, somewhat similar to Creator 31141 Main Street. It is unclear what the other smaller buildings will be. Additionally, it is reported that the Hammer drones will be buildable figures. Personally, I’m fine with Oscorp being more of a facade, as long as the depth is comparable to the Spider-Verse deli (and the Infinity War Sanctum/Apartment set). Being able to create a smaller, cheaper Marvel city is a good idea, and I hope they continue it. (If it were to bleed into DC, that would be amazing, but DC’s lucky just to be getting sets). Anyway, a modular would be the only way to get a good, full Oscorp, so this new approach is hopefully a somewhat worthy alternative. I am worried about what the price will be, though. -
I’m getting flashbacks to when we all thought the $400 Batcave was going to be the Daily Bugle of comic Batman sets. We must not have learned.

Updates from Discord: “76304 - Is just the Batmobile, it’s very similar to 76274 [Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile]. Comes with a plaque [spelt “plague”] and a mini-figure. Might be compatible with the Arkham Asylum set.” *sigh* I was hoping for a Batcave. And I hope that the “a minifigure” does not mean only one minifigure. Even the previous Batmobiles came with two, unless this is a pseudo-UCS Batmobile, in which case the large ‘66 one only came with one minifigure. Either way, I went from potentially getting this set to likely not.

That sounds interesting, I’ll have to check it out. Thanks! I agree with your reasoning behind the lack of minifigures. They can work as scale counterparts with the display plaques for the brick-built characters, but less so with the ships. On the topic of the B-1, I have always thought that a buildable one would be cool, wishing they made one when they were doing the constraction figures way back when. I am intrigued at the new one, but $100 seems like way too much for what I’m envisioning. -
It’s probably going to be the Batmobile with a Batcave facade, like the new Civil War set. I was actually looking forward to a 909 piece Batcave, even though it was based on Schumacher films, as it would still be a sizable location playset. Alas, t’was not to be.

There is no confirmed X-Men set coming that we know of. However, there are multiple sets for which we do not have names or descriptions, so it is possible that one of them will be an X-Men set. We just have to wait and see. I do hope that a Sentinel is included in a cheaper set sometime, as it is a very good build. -

Aren’t there two, 75428 and 75433? I could very well have missed if something was said about one of them not coming/being known. -

Agreed about both points with Ventress (and Obi-Wan). Their inclusion, if true, is exciting, and it feels like it bodes well for including main characters for availability. The lack of Dooku is wild, though. I wish they still made the duel sets, one between him and Yoda would be great. LEGO should use Snoke heads underneath all of the Sith Troopers, thus implying that they are all Snoke. This is now my headcanon. Honestly speaking, though, my hopes for an Exegol set have fallen since Sith Eternal Palpatine, presumably the most desirable minifigure, is getting released in a book. One final note in general: I see the discussions about Luuke, and raise you: Bigger Luke. -
I think it is true. A picture of the Schumacher Batcave was posted by a reliable source, if my memories serves me correctly. Also, the Schumacher films are no older than the Keaton films, which we have gotten sets for.

Honestly, I’m expecting a bit more detail in the cockpit area, but that’s about it. Compared to when the last Slave 1 came out, sets nowadays use more pieces in general, so I’m expecting most of the higher piece count to go to outer detailing and just an updated design. I’d love to be wrong, though.
