  1. There are dozens of us! Dozens! I was actually just thinking about this yesterday. Love or hate the Sequels, they account for three movies, and plenty of newer fans likely grew up as the movies were coming out. Additionally, the films are readily available to watch on Disney+. However, the last time we got Kylo Ren was 2020, five years ago now. The last Poe was in 2021, and Rey and Finn got the holiday versions in 2023, with a regular BB-8 in that set, too. Darth Rey was released last year, also, but that’s debatable on whether or not it counts. We haven’t gotten a First Order Stormtrooper since 2019. I’m not saying that this doesn’t happen to other parts of the saga (see Padmé), but the lack of availability for newcomers, either to LEGO, to Star Wars, or to both, is not great. In terms of sets getting them in the smallest number of sets, a new Duel on Starkiller base could give us Rey, Finn, and Kylo, and a new version of Poe’s X-wing could give us Poe and a FO Stormtrooper, while also making an X-wing available.
  2. Maybe LEGO was counting on the fact that all of the fans who are cloned-out and thus won’t have spent much on Star Wars this year will have saved enough by the end of the year to buy one of the only non-clone sets: the $1,000 Death Star.
  3. You know, perhaps I was too quick to judge. Either of those would be welcome, and provide new fans opportunities to get them.
  4. Love the image. Thanks for making me laugh today. I feel like a system set would be most likely for this scene, anyway, as the most iconic shot is Tobey holding the train back with the webs, but it may be tricky to have the webs extending outwards but not connected to anything. Unless, of course, they built connections on the ends, but that would be a needless increase in the piece count (not that that’s never happened before). Getting more Sony Spider-Man products, with the original Tobey films and the Spider-Verse films, is great. I can’t wait to see what they have in store. Are they going to reuse the minifigure(s) from the NWH final battle set? I still see it around, so I assume it’s still in production, and the Tobey suit seems mostly accurate. A new Otto is much preferred, though.
  5. 100% agree about the Sequel sets. We got Darth Rey and are finally getting Sith Eternal Palpatine, too, but we should get some actual system sets. It’s been years. Hopefully the tempering expectations comment is not about the fact that we haven’t gotten Luke’s Landspeeder in five years….
  6. Those Thor set ideas sound cool. They could definitely do a Destroyer set like the Surtur one. I believe that the “Giant-Man” in the Endgame set is going to be a mech. If anything, the scales would have been more accurate if the mech and constraction figure switched sets. A bit random, but I got the Iron Man mech with Ultron, and noticed something odd. Iron Man has the old head type, with no holes in the top stud, which makes sense given that it’s the same head from 2017. However, my Ultron minifigure also has that blocked stud, whereas other new for 2025 minifigures I’ve gotten all have the new two-holed mold.
  7. I was actually looking at Bricklinking him last year, but decided the price was too much for how much I wanted the minifigure. Hopefully that won’t turn out to have been a mistake. Luckily, Krypto hasn’t gone up that much (yet).
  8. To be fair with Gunn’s name in the Superman trailer, it is pretty common to have the director’s name in the trailer and on the poster. Additionally, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is generally considered to be good at a time when there are many superhero films generally considered to be not good. Saying, then, that the director of “one of the good ones” is also directing Superman is a way mitigate and counteract some of the concern over yet another superhero movie. Like you said, though, we can all say this and that, but we’ll really only know anything one the film releases. Yeah… I had forgotten about the Miles thing. Now that kind-of puts the “Hey” face from the Spider-Verse set in a different light. Thankfully, they were not criminal acts like Ezra, but it’s definitely awkward. In the topic of LEGO DC, I was visiting an antique toy shop and saw the 2006-2008 era Robin minifigure. I was talking with my friend about it, and he said that the only Robin he owns is the TLBM one. I know Damien has been available more recently (in this decade), but still, we haven’t gotten a proper Tim, Dick, or Jason in a while. I’m hoping that the Batcave comes with Robin, even if it’s from the films, but a new, comic-based Robin would be nice.
  9. Hopefully the hierarchy will change positively. I can’t wait to see The Batman Part II and Beyond the Spider-Verse in the same year (20??)!! Hopefully DC will be JL/non-Batman focused enough that Batman sets will be a welcome change….
  10. Fixed it for you. The monkey’s paw doesn’t need to give us the same Wolverine and Rogue.
  11. Buildable Green Lantern Domino Mask. $70. 298 pieces.
  12. How many clone sets are we getting? 200,000 sets are ready, with a million more well on the way. The prices going up and the piece counts going down is more worrying to me, though.
  13. The Techno Union would show full support for this inclusion. *turns up music* Though I am also feeling cloned-out in terms of the dwindling system sets we get, I am pleased that this is a brand new vehicle.
  14. A somewhat accurate representation of the Emperor’s arrival. Or, in appreciation of the original scene, it will include one giant sticker as the background and just a few minifigures.
  15. This Death Star is wild… I’m kind-of excited to see what it is and what it comes with. It’s twice the price of the last Death Star (not adjusted for inflation). That’s crazy. Half off is still $500. Double Insider points gets you $100. I feel like the new one will have to have an interior, to justify the price and the (hopefully somewhat reasonable) piece count. If there is no interior, it will have to be significantly bigger than the previous ones, but how big is too big? The proportions will have to be about equal in terms of height, width, and depth (minus a potential stand), and finding space for a giant ball would be tricky to say the least. In terms of minifigures, will it come with a lot, like the last two? Or will it just come with a few? Whoever it comes with, they better be fully decked out for $1,000. Not including C-3PO with the dual-molded leg would be a mistake, but finally getting Han with dual-molded boots but having him locked behind a $1,000 paywall or whatever absurd Bricklink prices would also be not ideal. Best case scenario, we get a microfighter in January.
  16. That was probably it, thanks.
  17. Was it confirmed that it would be 12 minifigures? Last I remember was just listed as 10+. 12 would be nice, though. It’s a lot better than the “10+” that were supposed to come in the Death Star playset/Star Destroyer.
  18. A new casting and their character was just revealed for The Mandalorian & Grogu. I'm excited to see if they'll end up in a set.
  19. Very disappointed about the lack of Superman sets. I guess the mech was the tie-in? Hopefully the Batcave means a bit more budget for new minifigures.
  20. I would guess just the cockpit, with the possibility of one more trooper fitting on it. With the Jedi and clones battle pack having a “republic gunship,” I’m not sure this will closely resemble the police gunship.
  21. Ooh, this would be cool. If LEGO is promoting Kylo this year (with the shuttle and the helmet), hopefully he’ll get a minifigure. A dual-molded hood/mask would be sweet, but a new mask without the hood would also be nice. I’d like to add TPM C-3PO to the missing prequel figs list.
  22. Ditto on Babu Frik. We finally got Sith Eternal Palpatine, let’s go Babu! I will say, though, that the original quote says “long-awaited” figs. To me, this is very wide-reaching, as it could apply to pretty much anyone who isn’t a repeat of an already available minifigure. Of what we know of for 2025, one could say that undamaged RoTS/CW Anakin, late CW Ahsoka, R7-A7, Plo Koon, Oddball, Captain Jag, Jango Fett, young Boba Fett, a Phase I clone pilot, a Phase II clone pilot, TRoS Palpatine, and presumably a new Wicket, new Andor, new K2-SO, new Night Trooper variants, and Dedra Meero are all long-awaited. Technically, one could even say that this year’s Commander Praji was long-awaited in the sense that it’s been 47 since the film. That being said, there are many minifigures that I have personally waited a long time for that I would like made. A friend and I each put together a list of characters and variants we felt were missing or needed redoing (mainly tailored after our own personal collections and tastes). While mine is long, and many aren’t likely, it’s nice to cross off TRoS Palpatine. Hopefully more will come.
  23. I get that. When it was first revealed/rumored, I was initially very excited. However, I got to thinking the inevitable thought: do I need it? I have TLBM Arkham, and aside from possibly a few great new minifigures and a back wall, it won’t offer me much more than I have now. As someone who never went through a “dark ages,” this evaluation of whether I truly need/want sets these past few years has been interesting. In defense of the Avengers' Tower, I think the minifigure issue, selection-wise, falls to the subject matter. Most of the characters associated with the tower are/were available, and I can only think of a handful of characters not included who could have naturally been, and most of them are in suits (Coulson, Hill, Sitwell, Rumlow, and Iron Legion drones). Could the included minifigures have been more detailed? Yes, and I agree with you on every other D2C listed, which is a real shame, now that I think about it.
  24. WHAT IF... it's a special Halloween set based on WandaVision with the characters in their respective Halloween costumes. Then you're both right/wrong! If it is true, I would go with D, largely because the tease for Quicksilver was an image from AoU. There were other replies without images, so there was (hopefully) a reason this specific one was chosen.
  25. Pictures are out of the buildable Grogu with pram and the midi-scale Acclamator. The latter looks about accurate from what I can see, though still expensive for what you get. It’s always nice to get something new, though. Grogu, while, partially a remake, looks better than I had expected. The new scale works well, allowing him to sit inside the pram, which looks good. I think he’s still too large to scale accurately next to Chewie, R2, and 3PO, which is too bad, but any smaller might not have looked as good. I like the addition of the accessories, the Sorgan Frog especially. In other news, Maxbaudte’s AMA continues, and he’s said that the Maul in the Mech will be based on Clone Wars Season 7, and the clone pilots in the ARC-170 will be Phase II. He also said that as far as he knows, we’ll get another/more named clone(s) next year, as well as plenty of long-awaited minifigures.
