  1. Sounds like Booster Gold will also be releasing in 2026. Is it too much to hope he gets shoved in a Batman comic set?
  2. You forgot about a little trick Lego likes to use called “ignore aspects of the source material designs in favor of cost reduction.” See the X-Jet minifigures for some examples of how this little trick can be employed. IMO, a buildable sentinel should have been a no brainer for this summer. This would be my ideal lineup for a winter wave, just based off what we’ve seen so far in the show. Motendo Battle ($30) Jubilee, Roberto, and a Buildable Mojo with some video game elements thrown in. Sinister’s Lab ($50) A haunted house type build with some hidden lab elements. Includes Goblin Queen, Mr Sinister, Cyclops, and Jean Gray Battle for Genosha ($60) Godzilla Sentinel. If you know, you know. Includes Magneto, Rogue, Nightcrawler, and Gambit with a motorcycle. All in their standard outfits, rather than their gala costumes. Sentinel Attack ($70) A giant buildable Sentinel with Trask, Storm, Bishop, Wolverine, and Cyclops
  3. Not true. I do agree that Nightcrawler is the character outside of the main 10 (Prof X, Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean Gray, Beast, Storm, Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, and Magneto) that seems the most likely to appear, if we’re just going off of his impact in the show and popularity in general. Regardless, I’m very disappointed with just how little set coverage we’re getting for this show. We should have gotten at least one more set over the summer because there’s just so many characters to cover (only counting the X-Men even) and two sets just isn’t gonna cut it.
  4. I think the issues with the figure go beyond the hair and lack of muscles. It’s overtly detailed in all the wrong places but lacking in details where it really needs them. Her boots and arms are over designed. Her coat and torso are under. The belt stretches down to her hips instead of fitting snuggly on her waist. I could go on. The Rogue we got with the Blackbird is far from perfect, but I very much prefer it to the Fortnite design.
  5. In all fairness, Batman loses to his own villains all the time.
  6. Are we sure Batman doesn’t secretly have super powers? This seems very suspicious.
  7. Sounds like your issue isn’t actually with Superman. The real problem is that Batman is really lame and they need to come up with even lamer villains for him to stand a chance.
  8. Yeah, even as an unabashed fan of the Fox X-Men films, the costumes just aren’t that interesting. If you’re really that desperate for those designs, just take a black sharpie and scribble all over the ‘97 designs and that’ll be good enough.
  9. Hopefully this will mean a bigger focus on X-Men sets going forward. But, we probably won’t see the impact until 2026. So any X-Men sets in 2025 were probably planned before the show.
  10. I think our friend here is worried he’ll get the Cyclops treatment.
  11. It looks like this Superman should be dark blue, so that wouldn’t work. But I’m using should here because Lego has made some interesting color decisions in the past, particularly when it comes to the MCU.
  12. We’ve got our first look at the new Superman outfit. Can’t say I’m a big fan. It’s not terrible, but it’s not great either. It’s just ok. Hopefully we’ll get some sets for this movie.
  13. They didn’t even have to include the Leviathon since all the Quinjet figures are in the tower. And sure, if all you do collect is minifigures, then there’s no point in getting the Quinjet, so long as you’re willing to drop $500 on the Tower.
  14. I was actually considering getting that Batgirl torso, even if the oval symbol makes no sense for her, just so I could make a gray and black Batgirl without the backpack. But lo and behold, she’s got the backpack straps again. :(
  15. Originally this was going to be a Superman vs Lex Luthor set, but Lego swapped out a couple of characters to improve sales.
  16. Man, that Batgirl is weird. I have no idea what design they based it on. I can’t even find any pictures of her with that symbol.
  17. I completely disagree on Superman. The way the Thor cape drapes over the shoulders is perfect for him. They don’t even need to recolor it.
  18. Yeah, it’s hard to predict who will and won’t be in the mansion. If the selection was based on how prevalent characters have been in the show, then Nightcrawler would make the cut over Wolverine, Gambit (skipping him wouldn’t be the worst things his fans have gone through this year), Storm, and maybe even Jubilee. But I think we’ll be getting Nightcrawler next year at least just because of how prevalent he is in the show and how popular he has been in comics and in other media. I’m curious to see how they’ll handle the hoods with capes. Ideally, they’d make a new piece for hood + cape.
  19. I wouldn’t be so sure about that. He’s been playing a very prominent role in the show and has been a fan favorite for decades. And even if he’s not in the Mansion, I think there’s a good chance he’ll appear in a set within the next year (and that might be preferable depending on the price.)
  20. It releases in November, so the official announcement will probably be October.
  21. Man, looking at those Sonic sets makes it even more disappointing they went with bright light orange for Reverse Flash instead of yellow. We came so close to finally having dual molded boots that could work for the character (after erasing those white lines).
