The games are rated mature, so there’s no way it’ll be based on those. There’s nothing to the BtAS design and it doesn’t look the same across any two comics, so most likely the designers will just come up with their own design like they always do when they release an Arkham Asylum set. The figures will probably be the thing that decides if it’s “comic” or “BtAS” based.

Our Gambit-based buddy posted a list. I wasn’t gonna share it here since he’s clearly just seeking attention, but if anyone wants to see it, it’s pretty bad.

Shadowbox wasn’t really a playset so much as it was an unholy abomination. I don’t think it sold well either, seeing as it’s already retiring.

They might have had a point with Caped Crusader.

Another assumption, but it makes sense Lego would want to go the modular route with it. Making it connect to the other buildings adds appeal. But even if it’s not modular, Lego probably wouldn’t cannibalize their own sales by releasing two big superhero buildings in the same year.

Nowhere. It just doesn’t make sense that they would release two super hero modulars in the same year. Arkham will probably be next year’s modular.

I hate that I would buy this. Oscorp makes sense. Like you say, the Bugle will be retired. Avengers, Batman and X-Men will all have a modular on the shelves. I can’t think of anyone else who could carry a modular (granted, X-Men arguably don’t belong in that list either). Plus, there’s a new Spider-Man movie coming out that summer.

I’ll do you one better: at least one of the 10 characters will be Joker.

A giant red and blue shadowbox with a giant spider emblem cut out with a NYC skyline inside depicting Spider-Man fighting his iconic foes like Green Goblin and Doc Ock would be a dream come true, for fans of shelf warmers. Lego, if you are listening, don’t do it. Hopefully we’ll get a Sentinel set that isn’t 60 dollars and only includes 3 repeats (2 from the X-Jet no less) and Morph.

It looks like we’re indeed getting Arkham over on the DC side. Probably means next year the modular will go to DC and there won’t be one for Marvel.

I gotta fully disagree with you on this. Kitty was a major character in both X-Men: Evolution (which is arguably the definite X-Men for the Gen Z generation) and the much less popular Wolverine and the X-Men. The only cartoon series she didn’t appear in was TAS. And sure, she didn’t have a major role in the movies, but she still appeared in 4 out of the 7. And, just speaking in terms of modern comics, she’s pretty regularly been a key character, and is currently leading one of the three main X-Men teams (don’t ask me why there’s 3 X-Men teams, I still don’t understand that). I’d argue she’s more popular than Jubilee who is only really known because of the 90’s series.

There’s two reasons why I didn’t throw Juggernaut in with those two. 1) he would need to be a big fig which means he’d need a new mold 2) he didn’t get the exposure in the movies that Mystique or even Sabertooth did. I could us getting characters like Angel, Kitty Pryde, and Colossus in sets simply because Lego has been much better at giving us heroes in these sets than they’ve been at giving us villains (just look at the X-Men 10v1ing Magneto). We got Captain Marvel, She Hulk, and Miss Marvel before their film debuts. Meanwhile we still haven’t gotten Baron Zemo, Ego, Abomination, or the High Evolutionary.

Just to add to @brickbride, the survey leaked a year and a half before the Mansion was released vs a year before the others. That half a year makes a huge difference in terms of where they’re at with designing the model. Thankfully the movie Mystique is always nude, so I don’t see Lego going with that version. 😂 There are definitely other characters Lego was considering at some point. The designers straight up confirmed they have other minifigures designed that didn’t make the cut. We just don’t know who. (I’m willing to bet Dazzler, Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Bishop, and Colossus were some of them seeing as their designs appeared either on stickers in the set or in Fortnite). Someone was talking about comic X-Men vs Avengers in Lego, so I did the math and here’s a count I did of all the characters in comic form per franchise: X-Men: 12 Avengers: 20 Spider-Man and Friends: 26 (I’m counting Firestar as a Spider-Man friend and Miss Marvel as an Avenger, when both could arguably be put into the X-Men category. I’m also not counting Beetle, Rhino, and Electro in Spider-Man and Freinds simply because the designs suck nor am I counting civilians such as JJJ or Mary Jane. And I’m not counting Mighty Micros figures or Rocket Raccoon from the mech since he’s technically a Guardian).

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I would rather get the remaining core comic cast over the remaining X-Men ‘97 cast. Jubilee, Morph, Forge, and Sunspot don’t do much for me while Kitty, Nightcrawler, and Emma Frost are among my favorite comic book characters. More villains are overdue. Sabertooth, Mr Sinister, and Mystique in particular. Heck, Mystique is the only character besides Magento and Prof X to appear in every live action X-Men movie (obviously only counting the 7 X-Men movies here and not the Wolverine, Deadpool, or New Mutants movies).

He was expressing excitement for Superman and everyone still knew it was him. His only hope is if we all start posting like turtle 24/7 so his unique posting style won’t stick out.

I started building the X-Mansion. I swear that rumor about a $60 Sentinel with 4 minifigures better not be true (and probably isn’t). There’s no way this is a $60 build. Unless the set comes with two of them.

Interesting. I guess there isn’t going to be much of an April wave in that case. Just that one Fantastic Four vs Galactus set and whatever they’re doing for Spidey and his friends. edit: and that buildable Iron Man helmet.

Isn’t the Hall of Armor supposed to come out in April?

Red Hulk looks great. I’ll try and Bricklink him. I hope we eventually get a comic Hulk using the new mold.

The last CMF had X-Men ‘97 figures and it released 8 months before the show. I’d rather they filled the season 1 gaps, but I wouldn’t rule out season 2.
