  1. Pretty funny that the Marvel thread got shut down while the Aslume lives on! 🤣
  2. I gotta disagree on the Snyder Cut being a step up. I honestly thought it was worse, but to each their own I guess. I also gotta say there were some good DC movies post Snyder. Aquaman was fun. Shazam was good. The Suicide Squad was great. The biggest issue, IMO, is just how long they let the franchise go on without any sort of a plan in place. I actually like Snyder for the most part. Dawn of the Dead was good. 300 was good. I liked Watchmen. Heck, I even liked MoS and BvS (I’m not gonna sit here and pretend like it was a misunderstood masterpiece instead of a critical flop that caused a lot of the general audience to lose interest in the DCEU). But I hated his JL and the more I hear of his future plans, the happier I am he didn’t get to continue his vision.
  3. Have we ever gotten anything as large as a motorcycle in any of these CMFs?
  4. Those sound awful. So glad he’s gone.
  5. Oh yeah, things would have gone much better if they kept the guy who made the film that killed the DCEU. šŸ™„ Biggest mistake WB made was hiring Zack Snyder to helm their cinematic universe. Second biggest mistake was not bringing in someone with a creative vision after he left to actually steer the franchise.
  6. Only person I’ve seen mention a Sentinel set is our Gambit-based buddy who is clearly a fake since he claimed the new CMF could include Jubilee, Nightcrawler, and a whole host of Disney+ characters. IMO, it’d make a lot of sense to recycle a couple of the X-Men from the Mansion and release a Sentinel set with a few new minifigures. But I’m gonna wait until we get something solid to go off of. There’s still a large number of sets that have yet to be revealed, so here’s hoping.
  7. I fully disagree with this. I personally don’t care to get sets or a CMF for these movies. (The movies are ok, imo, but I’d rather get comic based minifigures every day of the week). But it makes a lot of sense. A CMF filled with Spider-Man is going to do better than a CMF based on a bunch of Disney+ characters nobody recognizes. My biggest concern is how this will impact X-Men ā€˜97 season 2 sets. They’re not covering the Disney+ shows that have more views or even Thunderbolts. Maybe the Mansion will sell well enough for Lego to keep producing X-Men sets? Regardless, the future looks bleak for anything that isn’t either Spider-Man or MCU phases 1-3. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Avengers: Doomsday only gets 3 sets devoted to it.
  8. BvS only ended up making $126M in profit, which sure, it sounds like a lot. But the Flash ended up losing the studio close to $200M. So, sure, DC had some successes: BvS, MoS, Suicide Squad, Aquaman, WW, and Shazam. But the flops outnumber them: Birds of Prey, JL, Shazam 2, Aquaman 2, The Flash, The Suicide Squad, Black Adam, Blue Beetle. Compare that to the Spider-Verse movies which both turned a profit. Sure, they didn’t gross as much at the box office, but their budgets are also much lower.
  9. I’m not gonna sit down and do the math, but I’m actually kind of surprised its not true given DC released about 10 back to back flops.
  10. Because the Spider-Verse movies turned a bigger profit than every DCEU movie combined.
  11. Welp, there goes any shot of any more X-Men getting the CMF treatment next year. Or any new characters aside from obscure variants of Spider-Man. Very disappointing.
  12. * 3 of the 4 main characters. The fourth will be an SDCC exclusive.
  13. ā€œCowboy coinsā€ 🤣🤣🤣
  14. I have no idea what we were supposed to get, tbh. For all I know, it’s just the two.
  15. This is the nonsense thread. If you want to talk about DC sets, it’s over here:
  16. Two of the Spidey-Dino sets have leaked.
  17. I’d be down for this, especially if we got Colossus and Psylocke.
  18. If you’re talking about this list, it’s full of Marvel sets. https://brickset.com/sets/filter-NotReleased/year-2025/theme-DC-Comics-Super-Heroes The Daily Bugle could add those characters because there was a lot of Spider-Man figures already in production that could be recycled. We don’t have that for Batman. We’ve got Batman, Joker, Mr Freeze, Harley Quinn and depending on whether it’s comic or BtAS based, Batgirl or Catwoman. The X-Mansion also had 10 figures. One was purist. Two were recycled. Two were recycled with one new print. Five were new. Assuming the same thing happens here, we’re looking at 5 new figures, a guard made from existing pieces, and maybe Two-Face’s head can be recycled from the Tumbler. I have a feeling most of the new figures will be existing characters with maybe one new villain.
  19. Oh, absolutely. I’m just saying, if we do end up getting more than 10 (say 20 or 25) it wouldn’t necessarily mean all the villains need to wear jump suits. There’s a handful of civilian characters that could be made using existing pieces.
  20. There’s always the third option of inflating the number of figures using existing pieces, similar to what the Daily Bugle did. Renee Montoya, Harvey Bullock, Jonathan Crane, and Jeremiah Arkham are just a few names that spring to mind that could be done purist style.
  21. If we do end up getting a comic Arkham, and Poison Ivy is included, I hope they finally make a green skinned version of her.
  22. Knowing how Lego DC operates, Arkham will be a microscale model.
  23. There will probably be references to multiple media regardless of what they choose to base it on. The X-Mansion has a poster for Dazzler, the Fox X-Men door on the danger room, Storm’s attic garden from the comics, etc, despite being based on X-Men ā€˜97. Heck, Iceman was even thrown in there despite only appearing in one episode of the original series.
