  1. I thought about this too but on all BW3 devices I have this function disabled so I presume it shouldn't be the cause of the issue ... or can I be wrong here?
  2. Great, now it worked and here is the ticket number: 13844 May be you should tell the person responsible for the website to remove the non-working web page because it definitely causes confusion and misleads the customers that they'll get support.
  3. Good question ... but how would I know that? I never did receive any response or email from support (it was just a "Thanks for contacting us" on the web page itself) and since I wasn't sure I should have received something I never thought to ask again. Should I have received anything on my mail when I posted the issue on the BuWizz dedicated support page? btw how is https://buwizz.com/contact-2/ different from https://buwizz.com/contact-support/ and should I have used the first one instead of the second one that you posted about here?
  4. @Zerobricks, sorry to bother you again with this but is there any chance you can push support to respond? It's been around two weeks since I sent the support ticket and I still don't have any response. Also could it be that your system didn't even store the support request?
  5. @Zerobricks, Any news on the app update that will include the option to the BuWizz3 in deep sleep mode? Or on how exactly we can do the same ourselves via the options in nRF? And finally - does anyone know how to send a ticket to BuWizz support?
  6. I'm a bit ashamed to admit it but how do I send a support ticket?
  7. @imurvai, are you aware of the 0xA1 Activate shelf mode command for the BuWizz 3 controller mentioned here Is there any chance you can add an option to invoke/enable it in BrickController2?
  8. @Zerobricks, Is that BLE function ... and others ... publicly documented somewhere? I tried nRF bit to be honest I got a bit lost there. Can you help me a bit? Here is a screenshot from the app with all available functions. Is the shelf mode one at all visible? For example I tried changing the name of the device via 0x2A00 and despite nRF showing success in writing the value the BuWizz app kept on showing the old one... Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong?
  9. I wish you speedy recovery and hoping that everything is and will be fine. Is there any chance we can get this information from somewhere else? Do you know if the official support can/will be willing to help if I contact them? hmm ... this sounds interesting. To be honest I've never heard of such a thing but I'm in no way expert on the subject so might definitely be a possibility.
  10. Sadly I think you misunderstood my post. It's only the brand new (untouched) BuWizz 3.0 Pro that I bought an year ago and never had the chance to even turn on once that started working after "waking it up" by plugging in the charger. The other two BW3.0 simply don't work which made me believe that there is a "hidden" storage state that BuWizz/Fortonik is using for shipping their products which successfully preserves the batteries for long periods. Btw I also have one BuWizz 2.0 that was left in this semi-charged state as the two failed BW3.0s at exactly the same time more than 6 months ago and it is working just fine - it turns on and holds charge without any issues ... so it must be something in the BW3s that's different. @Zerobricks, from your knowledge and experience is there anything we can do to stop this depleting of the batteries of the BW3.0 bricks in the "off" state? Is there any secret command/combination that we can put them in "deep-off" state?
  11. @Toastie, thanks for the link and the reasonable explanation what could be causing the depleting of the batteries and the link to the possible revival procedure for LiPo batteries. It all makes a lot of sense now that you've laid it out like that and you got me thinking on how exactly are these BuWizzes stored originally ... or shipped in general ... because I had just opened a brand new one bought almost an year ago that I never managed to finish the build I bought it for and it behaved a bit differently. I couldn't turn it on using the button ... so obviously the controller inside wasn't listening to it ... and only when I plugged in the charger it blinked and was brought back to life. Interestingly it was almost fully charged - the status leds were blinking green and after a very short charging cycle it was fully charged. So somehow this BuWizz was put in some kind of storage state where it wouldn't kill its battery. Does anyone know how this can be achieved? Going back on the topic of reviving the dead batteries I was wondering if someone knows the pinout of the breakout cable of the battery? There are six cables (3 red and 3 black) which I can only presume are divided in 4 that belong to the balance port (after all it's a 3s battery) and 2 for the main current ... but having them all at the same gauge/thickness makes me doubt that logic so I'd be glad if someone can shed some light on that.
  12. Hi I've purchased 4 BuWizz controllers in the last couple of years and after the initial excitement lately I haven't been able to use them and was surprised to find 2 of them dead ... and seemingly unrevivable (not turning on and after attaching to the charger I get the spinning red pattern on all ports). I did carefully leave them a few months ago in neither fully charger nor depleted state (battery status showed medium) which is similar to the storage state for all other lipo batteries I use for dedicated RC (non-Lego) models and was wondering what I could have done wrong here. Is is possible that there is phantom drainage of the battery from controller itself? Is there a dedicated "storage" mode that I can active somehow to preserve the batteries better? ... and finally - what are my options for changing the batteries? Did someone manage to find ones that fit somewhere online? I still haven't contacted Fortonik/BuWizz themselves but I'm afraid what their answer might be so what's the community advice on this matter - should I try this or don't even bother?
  13. Aurorasaurus, Can you share which no OG Lego servos with proportional control are you referring to? Any available right now?
  14. @Zerobricks or someone else, did you manage to replicate/confirm these or is it something that I'm doing wrong on my end?
  15. I just found out that there's already such an option and together with the controls opacity configuration it's almost perfect 😊
  16. Thanks - that makes sense ... but what about Control+/PoweredUp L/XL mottors? I was just playing with the 42099 in a modified crawler mode (changed gearing) and it would have been great if we had a "drag" brake - as in - immediate stop and hold stationary even when on very inclined surfaces. Also while playing with the the app I stumbled on a couple of bugs and also had an idea/feature request: 1. Exporting a profile in controller mode looses the non controller screen layout when imported afterwards - it's just a blank screen 2. Renaming a profile doesn't change the name in the main list until the app is restarted 3. It'll be great if there is an option to change the background color for the layouts. Black/Dark gray will save a lot of battery on modern phones especially with OLED screens. (if this is not the right spot to share them I'll be glad if someone points it then to me)
  17. It's already supported - you can link different buttons/joysticks to the same slider and you can even have to buttons/triggers (L2/R2) controlling the different directions of the slider - R2 for positive (acceleration) and L2 for negative (brake/reverse). This reminds me of another question that I forgot to ask to the BuWizz team/Zerobricks - is there any way to have this setup R2->acceleration and L2->brake/reverse but L2 to not directly go into reverse but to be pure break while there is forward motion and even if the user continues to press it to have the vehicle stationary until it's depressed and then pressed again and only then it to start functioning as reverse. This is default behavior in almost all real RC cars/vehicles and was wondering if BuWizz can mimic it. As an alternative or additionally it'll be nice if it can mimic how some of the car games like Gran Turismo drive the cars - R2 - accelration, L2 - pure brake, triangle - turn on Reverse gear ... I'm not sure this can be accomplished right now in BuWizz but I'll be glad to be proven wrong ;)
  18. I personally bought this thing from AliExpress for less than 10 USD http://ipega.hk/ps3ps4series/76-454.html and I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out. The whole setup is a bit top heavy and to be honest I'd prefer to just map every function to the controller buttons and leave my phone in a pocket ... which leads me to the following question: Is there anything that can be done to keep the controller+BuWizz app combo working when the phone's screen is turned off? Is it something that the app can control at all or it's all Android's responsibility?
  19. about the part "I cant see my previous control layout anymore, it was just blank, with nothing." I can only share my own experience on the subject. When I ran the app the first time I got a bit angry that it wiped my onscreen layout but it turned out that in fact in only created a new blank screen layout for when using the controller where you can place a separate set of controls, gauges, etc and if you click on the icon in the top right corner of the "controls layout" configuration section in the main screen of the profile which now looks like a phone rather then the controller before you'll switch back to the controlling your device with just the phone screen and you'll have your old layout there ... or at least that's how it works for me.
  20. I would also participate in the financial contribution and in the testing/debug phase and I believe that the 4.0 and 6.0 system might be greatly the same since we can use the remotes interchangeably ... or they might have integrated the two protocols in both remotes so I might be wrong. All we can do now is hope that @imurvai will accept our offer and embrace the idea of integrating the Mould King power controllers.
  21. I see - then I guess I'll try my luck finding out how to build it myself ... I believe it'll be fun ... and a good learning experience. :) Of course - I ... and presume many others that attempt to build it ... won't mind getting some hints from you for some tricky moments ... if there are such to begin with.
  22. It's me again with probably another stupid question but is normal that LDD crashes a second or two after switching to Building guide mode (F7) with this project opened ... or it's something wrong only with my installation?
  23. Thanks, this solved it. :D Looking forward acquiring all parts and having the chance to build it together with my son.
  24. Hi, First let me thank you for the the great work - this looks amazing and I'll definitely do my best to build and try it. Since this will be my first build based on LDD files ... actually this is the very reason I have even installed LDD (v4.3.11 + the latest parts update) ... please bear with my simpleton questions. And here come the first two: 1. What am I doing wrong in order to get an error message stating that there is one brick that's not placed correctly and was removed from the model when I open the .lxf file... and how can I see which is this brick? 2. Why is there a single yellow piece (an axle connector) at the bottom of the modeling plane (not connected to anything)? Could it be the problematic brick from the error above? And if that's the case then where it's supposed to be placed?
