Hey, what the heck - I'll throw my hat in the ring! Only two days my activity may droop is March 14th and April 30th, but besides that my schedule should be clear. 1). My only Mafia game thus far was Mafia School: Police Infiltration... In which I fell three stories and got my head suck in the icy depths of a toilet upon landing. I seek redemption! I've observed recent mafias since then and should play better then my previous performance. 2). The rules look fine to me (as long as there are no latrines involved as a game mechanic), though play will determine whether they work or not. But as they stand currently, it looks like a fun variation of Eurobricks Mafia! 3). It seems like a valid tactic in some cases, but if used incorrectly you could become a liability to your team.

(15+10+10+10+9+8+11=73X2=146/2=73-6=67 damage) >Arrow Storm: 19 damage to the entire party! The final battle continues! The party, all in the back row, attack Eidolon with all due caution. Elgar manages to confuse Eidolon's tail, the triple-pronged weapon of destruction twitching and having spasms. The tail leans downwards in its confusion, and Alex jumps and thrusts his sword into the limb. It jolts backwards, immediately straightening itself. Alex slashes at Emperor Eidolon, the massive Progg still feeling little pain from Alex's meager blows... he was not an enemy to be underestimated. Galen lobs his wrench into one of Eidolon's wings as Johon slashes at the other. Eidolon's left wing fans out and glows, and the ether users of the party can feel their pools of ether being depleted... Punii hurriedly makes jellies as Romulus chugs down a potion. Galen aims at Gauntlet L, but as he prepares to throw his wrench, but stops when he hears a whirring from Eidolon's gauntlet. Suddenly, a harpoon tethered to the Gauntlet by a sturdy chain fires off, flying in Galen's direction. The turbanned Rogue attempts to evade, but the harpoon still grazes his side and leaves a noticeable gash. Eidolon laughs as the porjectile retracts back into his gauntlet. Hal orders a synchronized attack, the party flanking Eidolon's other gauntlet and giving it a fair thrashing. Down below, the party hears the sound of dozens, perhaps hundreds, of Proggs notching an arrow... and then a chorus of twangs as the party is bombarded by a storm of arrows. "Struggle all you like, the outcome will never change." Sure you’ve got an army, but I’ll do you one better, we tore neck holes in your death squad and made a new sweater. Not to mention all your men we killed, that makes us, what? Heroes 100: Eidoloion: nill?
We converted your nurse and killed your two brothers, so tell me which of us is superior to the other.
-
What have you done? You’re all bark, no bite. I think it’s pretty clear who’ll be leaving this fight. You can’t back the buck. You don’t walk-the walk. I’ve heard you’re a truck, but you’re really all talk.

"Hah - your perfomance thus far speaks otherwise!" QM Note: I'm sorry, B&P - I made you Encouraged instead of Lucky when using the Dragon's scale. I'll reroll that action for you! -
My keyboard is drenched with tears - of laughter. Before this spirals further into the abyss of being off-topic, I would agree that there should be no loot to be gained whatsoever - though I think that the requirements for the rewards should be dropped a bit.
-
As you wish - I'll crush you in my profile and 48!
-
I was literally just about to suggest that, but then I went upstairs to get a V8. Curse you! I'd reccomend tripling it, though.

The battle with the flying collossus begins, the maniacal Emperor descending upon them. Gritting their teeth and preparing for the worst, the party begins their assault on the destructive monarch. Sylph and Elgar try to turn Eidolon's own limbs against him, but get not a single twitch or spasm out of the Emperor despite their efforts. Eidolon's tail darts for Alex, but the pladin siwfty dodges and counters with a slash of his own, drawing blood - the paladin had scored a clean hit, but it hardly seemed to effect the mighty foe before them. Alex goes for Eidolon's face, leaving a hardly noticeable nick in his face grid that not even the emperor noticed. Sylph lets Johon takes a whiff of his Smelling Salts, the aroma immediately hastening Johon. The Raider expends his dragon scale and rushes one of Eidolon's hands. The massive progg grabs the blade as Johon charges him, but even with his hand clad in a heavy gauntlet the decay manages to infect it. Galen tries to chuck his wrench at Eidolon's wing, but the flapping target was a difficult one to hit. The wrnech misses entirely, giving the beast an opening, With a twist of his shoulder Eidolon smacks Galen with his wing, the rogue stumbling backwards from the impact. Romulus slashes at Eidolon's other gauntlet, doing a fair amount of damage. Galen takes aim once more, this time attemtping to hit his right wing. Anticipating the wing's movement galen throws his wrench, the weapon leaving a light bruise on the wing. Hal attempts to initiate a Charge, but in response Eidolon enters a Jab Cataclysm. In a flurry of anger he stabs each hero for 22 damage, laughing all the while. Eidolon bellows a command down below, instructing the archers to launch a synchronized strike. The party would have some arrows to worry about at the end of the next round... "Why must you still fight on, even though you know how it must end? Accept your death with grace, heroes!" Emperor Eidolon, Level 39 Ancient *Badly Poisoned!* HP: 1811/1850 SP: 18 24 Ether: 70/70 Specials: Emperor's Wrath: Attacks the hero who rolled Special Damage for damage equal to the combined level of every single hero on the field. The Progg Mages heal their emperor, resotring 120 HP to himself and all of his appendages. -2: Reinforcements: Eidolon calls for reinforcements, 2 Aerial Proggs swooping in to their master's aid. -1: Ten Hut: The next time Eidolon shouts out commands, he will get to shout two. I gave you a round of shock therapy, but I guess it is failin'; you're still spewing crap like a demented Sarah Palin. You cower behind gods because you have no hope of victory - gotta pray to higher begins just to scratch me! Why are you and your gang of sellswords even try? No matter the strategy, you're all going to die. You had a chance to rock me like a hurricane but I'm just not impressed by your power... I'll gut your entire party, throw you off of the belltower...
-
Boy, you've got bats in your belfry if you think you can out-rhyme and out strategy me. You think you've got power, you think you've got skill, but I won't even cower, now take a chill-pill.
-
you're nothing more than a drugged up crab with a whole lot of lightning, but no gift of the gab. You think you'll out-rhyme or two-time or just slime my group, but I'm all-prime, I'm sublime,I'll make a war-crime out of you! When this encounter is over and we've beaten your megablocks, as a Druid, I can inform you it's gunna be stomped on like grass.

Death's Homecoming actually is mant to refer to the Death Progg, aka Rhodus. He had considered the vault in Luosh from Q36 his "home", so his return to Luosh in 48 is literally a homecoming... except the fact he brought his two far stronger brothers and 1,447 more Proggs for the party. Oh, and the guy I named my quest after was murdered 3/10 into the plot. Hah, try me! I think in terms of stats, although Eidolon is most certainly not the hardest battle Heroica has had (I chalk that one up to Battle of Dastan!) Eidolon is the strongest single entity faced thus far in Heroica. Hey, you wanted a challenge, and I gave you one! Though I can only imagine how much paper you have wasted on this quest.
-
No, it is revenge for those goddamn Ether Cores. Eidolon is definitely beatable, ya wimps. It is the final battle, he isn't going to be a pushover! Though, I find it amusing his tail is pretty much superior to his younger brother in every single possible stat... Also, DLL, those effect removing specials are only going to be in your advantage in the long-run anyway. I can either take away your effects and have you roll devastating specials more often, or let you keep your effects and make Eidolon have a ludicrously, cataclysmic special of mass destruction to counterbalance... that you'd probably end up rolling, TKOing your party in one fell swoop.
