Ken Robichaud does!

Either that or it will have Tony getting drunk, making love to Pepper, and beating the megabloks out of the villains.

Wow, I was beginning to doubt this set ever existed. Thanks! Looks pretty neat, although nothing out of the ordinary. That Perry is pretty cute and would have been worth getting the game for alone. The lack of microfigs is a bit disappointing, but printed tiles are cool too. I was expecting it to be more like Creationary where you have to build gadgets, but it seems all licensed games are boardgame-type games. And yes, it's clearly been cancelled since it has ads for Heroica in the back. It's a shame, but oh well. At least it shouldn't be too hard to bricklink the pieces to make it yourself, minus the printed character tiles. By the way, does anybody know if the Batman and LOTR games are still being released in the US or have they been cancelled as well? The fact that Chima has been released, but the others haven't is making me suspect the latter...

So I finally decided to pre-order my copy at Walmart to get the Iron Patriot set and I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this in my order summary: Wow, this game is going to be a lot more violent than I thought! I am a little concerned because it didn't mention Iron Patriot when I checked out and they have taken down the picture of the set, but it still says that you'll get it on the product page, so hopefully I wasn't too late. Also, has anyone noticed that they changed Black Widow's and Deadpool's guns from the promotional art to ADU guns in the game? I was kinda expecting that to happen, but it's still disappointing. Still super stoked for this game though!

Maybe the Marvel sets weren't in the catalog because they're based on the upcoming movies and they didn't want to spoil anything? Then again, there probably would have been at least set numbers with placeholder names...

Thanks for the list, Tater! Joker Steam Roller?? Sounds very odd. I can't see this set being appealing in any shape or form. Not like we needed it to begin with.Quite frankly, this list sounds very disappointing. Man-Bat is the only new character here, and he was very easy to make out of existing parts already. So unless they shoehorn another new hero or villain into each of these sets, they wont be very interesting. I'll look forward to more info.

Not so keen on Humpty, Pyg, or Toad, but I certainly agree with your other wishes. Magpie would be cool too. And yes, I like the show too for the most part, but that Alfred design really bugs me.

If we get Alfred, I really hope it will be a comic version. I really don't want the one from Beware the Batman. I can just use my Lex Luthor minifig for that. Sadly, a BTB version is more likely... Katana on the other hand might be neat to have, especially if she comes with the Soultaker Sword. But I'd prefer it if they give Batman allies from the Justice League instead of these two like they did in the Riddler Chase set.

Oh, I didn't see Darth Tater's earlier comment... but didn't he say that they don't fit minifigs? Would be nice if they were chibi sets like the recent Comic Con exclusives.

Thanks for the list! If those Battle Packs are true it will be awesome. I wonder what this new "recruitment line" will be. Perhaps something like the midi-scale sets? Or planet sets minus the planets? They must be some kind of minis because I just can't see them doing minifig-scale versions of those vehicles in the same wave, especially after we've had remakes of about half of them recently. The rest of the sets sound pretty boring, although I'm sure they'll come with amazing minifigs. And seriously, we're getting a set of this? No thanks!

As others have said, there have been a lot more TV show based themes, especially if you count non-System sets. Dora, Bob, Thomas, Little Robots, Galidor, Ben 10, just to name a few. There are also TV show based subthemes like Clone Wars and Ultimate Spider-Man. What was so surprising about the Simpsons, I think, is that it's the first one based on an adult-oriented TV show. As for TV licenses versus movie licenses, yes, movie themes tend to sell better because of all the marketing behind them and because they usually appeal to a wider audience. However, they also don't usually offer much material to base sets on. That's why I think Lego usually jumps on licenses that either already have some history behind them or have the potential for larger franchises. Being one of the longest running TV shows/cartoons of all time, the Simpsons seems like an obvious choice. It is the adult themes within the show that make it a surprising one. So I think the question shouldn't be whether Lego is making more TV show licenses, but rather if they are widening their target audience.

Well, there was a thread like this a while ago, but that one has been dead for some time, so I think it's a good idea to revive this topic. Yes, a Maleficent theme would be pretty neat. It could be the live-action Disney theme of next year and would allow us to get sets based on a Disney classic, sort of. But of course, sets that are actually based on the old animated Disney films would much better. And I'm not sure how likely a Maleficent theme would be since I don't think they are trying to make it into a film franchise like they were with the previous Disney films we got sets from. Sets based on Big Hero 6 might be cool too, perhaps as part of the Super Heroes theme. Another possibility would be a Muppets theme to tie in with Muppets Most Wanted. I for one am not a big Muppets fan and don't know if there is even enough potential for sets, but the sets might sell well due to the everlasting appeal of the characters. And of course sets based on any past and upcoming Pixar titles would be more than welcome!

Thanks! I was finally able to hunt down a copy of the DeLorean set, so this week I have a bunch of BTTF themed funnies! Marty's Nightmare by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr High Fusion by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Libyan Hippie by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr

Pixar Animation Studios and Films Discussion
Oky replied to just2good's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Oh, I guess I was looking in the wrong places. But I don't believe it is that bad. Most of the reviews complain about how it is inferior to the Cars films, which was a given since it is made by Disneytoons. Comparing anything to a Pixar film is going to make it look bad. I'm sure if you look at it as a stand alone film, it will be alright, especially if you compare it to other films like Turbo or Epic. I'm looking forward to Frozen, mainly because I did like Tangled a lot. Can't say I'm excited for Big Hero 6 (the comic it's based on doesn't sound too interesting to me), but I'm certainly curious. And yes, Zootopia sounds good too.- 279 replies

Some news about upcoming Disney and Pixar films from D23: LINK I'm really excited for Toy Story of Terror and Inside Out! The Good Dinosaur sounds fun as well. Still "meh" about Finding Dory, but I'll keep an open mind. Also, it seems odd that they're already planning a sequel to Planes, although the first reviews for the first one seem to be mostly positive. Has anyone seen it?- 279 replies

For some reason I can't download it. Can you provide a direct link to the file? EDIT: Looks like you have to be a member to be able to download stuff. Here's the direct link for any non-members: Download As I suspected, Legogal is missing some pieces, namely the 1x1 round plates.

CUUSOO DeLorean availability on Amazon in the US?
Oky replied to Commander Assassin's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Looks like you're a little too late. There was a first party seller on Amazon about two hours ago. I'd say just keep your eye on it until it's available at MSRP again. -
Interesting... Like others here I've never been a big Simpsons fan, so I can't say I'm too excited, but I might still get some sets for the figs and parts. If anything, this line should finally give us a Lego doughnut! Considering the low appeal of the Simpsons these days, it's smart of TLG to make this a small production run at first. Also, is this the first theme primarily aimed at adults?

Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Future™ Time Machine
Oky replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Licensed
It's back in stock at S@H and Amazon US! -
Ah, thanks. Hm, that does seem quite disappointing... How did you get it? There are other color differences too, like the bugs which are yellow instead of red and the plates which are white instead of pink, so either you received the wrong pieces or Lego made several changes to the design after taking the official picture. As for instructions, I'm just about as lost as you. I think the purple round plates are supposed to be the feet of the box, but no clue about the rest. Hopefully someone who has attended the event can shed some light on this.

Full body Sentinel: Looks pretty awesome, except for that giant vent in its torso.

Really? I didn't see it mentioned anywhere. Did that person say where you can get it?

Another promotional set just popped up on Brickset. No word on where it came from, but it looks pretty neat. I especially like that minidoll apron. It makes me wonder why it wasn't included in any of the previous bakery sets. Other than that, there's nothing special really, but like all Friends sets it's a nice parts pack.
