  1. Well, my favorite villain is the Joker of course, with Freeze and Riddler in second. However, I wasn't completely satisfied with none of those figs for some reason. I think it's because they could have all used a better headpiece. Anyway, I ended up voting for Harley since she is such a fun character and a lovely, accurate fig. Besides, thanks to her, the Castle line got its jester. Catwoman is quite wonderful as well, though. Well, I like the Joker for these reasons. Freeze is a very deep and poetic character, has super-strength, and powerful weaponry. The Riddler always gives you something to think about and shows us how smart Batman can be. And Harley Quinn is funny, cute, and just different. Her dysfunctional relationship with the Joker is always fun to watch, and she is the only villain without any special abilities.
  2. Great banner, as always. Plo Koon looks funny with that hat, and Inferno with his snow ball cannon arm is hilarious! But what did Spongebob ever do to that troll to deserve getting beat up/thrown around every second banner? Oh well, he deserves it anyway, for being so annoying.
  3. Yes, I can but I thought I needed to point out that not every character voiced by LaMarr has to have a Caribbean accent. Yeah, that works. Erm, let me think - YES. Back on topic: Another good thing about Lair of Grievous is that it had the first in-person appearance of Mace Windu in this show! I hope that's a sign that we will see more of him in the near future! More than just sitting around in the Jedi Temple with Yoda that is.
  4. I would include the different types of crownies into the poll: The one with the flat helmet, the knight, the guy with the scared face, etc. I would totally vote for the one with the scared face, he's hilarious and very useful!
  5. Thanks for the pic, Darth Legois! Could you post a link to a hi-res version? Btw, if this set is featured in a catalog that is available to the public, and if it's set to be released in two months, I don't think it's very prelim. So, anyone who doesn't like it's design will have to deal with it. And if there was anything like a sail included (which wouldn't make much sense IMO), I think they would show it on the picture.
  6. He didn't, but he was still voiced by LaMarr. And Kit's accent isn't all that funny; it's not as extreme as Hermes', but still clearly recognizable to be Jamaican. Btw, please stop saying that the old cartoon was better. We all know that.
  7. Take your time, Jim, we are in no hurry. Also, this gives me time to post the summary thread and the pics to the finale. A MOC index? You mean an index with links to every post that had pics in it? Sweet!
  8. I still don't understand why this is so important to you, but... Based on this pic, I'd say it's 1 red 1x2, 1 blue 1x2, and 1 yellow 1x1. Happy now?
  9. Hi. I just wanted to say that whatever you admins are doing, it's working! I haven't had any problems with EB in the past week, and today is Sunday, the most crowded day on EB, and I still don't have any problems! If only you could re-enable those disabled features, all would be perfect. Keep up the good work, admins!
  10. The episode commentary for Lair is up and answers some questions about continuity. Apparently, Filoni respects the EU so much that he is afraid to add too much to it. He doesn't want to define Grievous' past for us or show us what he looks like under the mask. He rather leaves that to our imagination. Which is good - in a way - but I would prefer it if he would go a little further with this kind of stuff. Oh well. Yup, she's doomed. Same here. He was voiced by Phil LaMarr, btw, the voice of Samurai Jack and Hermes from Futurama! You can find an interview with him here. May the force be with us, mon!
  11. Thanks! So, how about christmasifying yours?
  12. Very nice army/collection, Jim! Seconded! Cool! Thanks! Hm... does that explain why you have an uneven number of droid pilots?
  13. How is it supposed to be a good addition if it can't transport anything? Except for maybe a generic control room, it wouldn't even have any interior since we don't know what they look like from the inside. Yes, but it would still have to be huge. If you really want one, get some cloth, make sails out of it, and build a Technic construction that can hold it. Then you can just add it onto the Sailer. Alright, I will. They are available in TRU stores, right?
  14. Same here, but I'm more concerned about what kind of a set it would be. If it's really a C-9979 landing craft (which would be weird because it doesn't have anything to do with a shuttle), it would have to be HUGE to be nearly in scale. It could be ISD scale, but what would be the point in that? It wouldn't be able to transport anything but minis. Therefore, it's either a mini or some kind of shuttle from a future CW episode that we don't know of yet. Don't worry, I kinda like it too. I just think it looks kinda fat from this angle. Don't get your hopes up for a sail. It's practically impossible to make a deploying one, and it doesn't look like it has such a feature anyway. They could make an attachable one, but with the ship itself being this big, it would have to be humongous! Besides, that would only make the set much more expensive. This set will probably be around $40 and only includes 1 fig and 2 droids, and you think it has a decent amount of figs? You have low standards, my friend. I'm still bummed about the fact that the assassin droid BP doesn't include any CIS stickers. Now, all it's good for is its silver and dark blue pieces.
  15. Aha! Finally a pic of the Solar Sailer! But why, oh, why does it have to be from such a crappy angle! I want to see the Dooku fig! Oh well, at least I know that I was right about the new, printed MagnaGuards being in this set! If Dooku turns out good, and if this set is cheaper than the MagnaGuard Fighter, I might actually get it! It's interesting that they use the old TIE fighter canopy again. I'm guessing the speeder is hidden under those. And finally we're getting a 1x12 smooth slope!
  16. I don't think so, but it would definitely be an interesting idea. The live action show is set in the Dark Times, so Ahsoka would be all grown-up and one of the surviving jedi. Just imagine a scenario where she has to duel her former master, who is now Darth Vader! However, after getting used to the CG version of her, it would be weird to watch her live action version. You mean like the Jar-Jar-didn't-die plot hole? Well, she did get promoted from Youngling to Padawan early too. Anakin was only held back because he still showed bad traits like stubbornness. Ahsoka has those too (which makes her a perfect padawan for Annie) but she is also very reasonable, like Obi Wan, and has a good heart, so she is more likely to be knighted early than him. Changing masters would be an idea too, but it would leave us unknowing of what will become of Ahsoka. The audience wants her to succeed in her training, so knighting her would be kind of an happy end. Her dying would be a sad ending. But changing masters would be just something in between. You know what I mean? Besides, why would she change masters? Because Anakin fails in his role as a master? I have never heard him say that, but if it's true, it's not right what they're doing. Both shows are cannon, so the new one should yield the old one. Btw, does anyone else find it funny that Kit Fisto has a Jamaican accent? I mean, it kinda matches his "dreadlocks", but isn't that a bit stereotypical?
  17. Alright, so I have seen "Lair of Grievous" as well, and I tought it was pretty good, but not quite as good as it could have been. For example, the way that The fact that he cheated may reinforce his role as a villain, but it also contradicts with his proud warrior personallity. It happened too quickly too. I had to watch that scene twice to really see what happened. The main plot of was interesting. It explained why Grievous isn't as badass in this show as he was in the old cartoon: This show is apparently set between Chapter 21 and Chapter 22 of Star Wars: Clone Wars. Anakin has been knighted and is fighting alongside Obi Wan, while Grievous was turned into a cyborg and revealed himself during the Battle of Hypori. After Grievous wasn't able to kill anything better than young Jedi Knights, Dooku decides to test his skills in "Lair of Grievous". Grievous fails the test, so Dooku starts giving him advanced training in lightsaber fight, as seen in Chapter 22. Therefore, he is much better trained by the time he kidnaps the Chancellor, and his "I have been trained in your Jedi arts by Count Dooku" line in ROTS finally makes sense since his fight with Obi on the Malevolence was before he received the training from Dooku. So, here is for hoping that we will see Grievous improving in his fighting skills, and less running away. Well, although I didn't expect it to be a "company man" style episode like you, I was kinda disappointed as well. They could have at least revealed a bit more of Grievous' past than just the fact that he used to be a Kaleesh warrior. Any SW geek knows that already. But the episode already feeled rushed without any flashbacks, so I guess it's better this way. I agree! Kit kicks megablocks! The fights were a bit short, though. Hopefully we will see more intense lightsaber fights like this! True, but we must consider that there are also kids watching this show, so it's probably good that they didn't have much time to attach to that character. This makes me think if Ahsoka will ever die. It would be quite shocking and tragic if she did, being the padawan of the main character and all. Besides, didn't Yoda assign Ahsoka to Anakin so that he learns to handle loss? This would either mean that Anakin loses her as a padawan (meaning that she completes her training and leaves to fight her own battles as a Jedi Knight) or that she will die by the end of the show. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Yeah, almost! Oh well, it wouldn't have been a pleasant sight anyway, I guess. I disagree. I haven't seen enough from Obi Wan, to be honest. An episode with only him and Cody as the protagonists would be great IMO! The preview of the next episode, "Dooku Captured" didn't excite me that much, but on second thought, this might turn out to be a good episode. It seems like one of those classic Obi-and-Anakin style Clone Wars stories as seen in Chapter 22 of Star Wars: Clone Wars. Also, we will finally see Dooku doing more than just appearing in holograms and saying stuff like "Your failure is disappointing." And considering that Dooku was captured by pirates, we might get a glimpse at the rumored "pirate tank". However... Sad, but true.
  18. Good news, everyone! I stopped by my local TRU after school today and there were a bunch of MTTs left! So, I returned the opened one that I got on Black Friday, received $60 store credit, and got a new MTT for $50 using the coupon! Now I have $10 left to spend in TRU. I'll save that in case TRU gets the clone BP early!
  19. Exactly. And you can find it here on Brick Horizon. I don't think it's running at the moment, though. Agreed. So, if we should have a 'lack of ideas', we'll use one of your ideas, but I don't think that'll be the case.
  20. From the Sales forum: Great, huh? I think my MTT problems are over!
  21. Awesome! So, do you have to print the coupon out or get it in the store?
  22. I can't get over the awesomeness of that webcomic. I just this panel: Grievous looks so badass in this one! This also shows us pretty well how it looks when he is holding four lightsabers. It's basically not very different from the movie version - the only difference is that the second finger on each hand is missing. I'm still not convinced that he is able to effectively fight with such a grip, but we'll find out tomorrow.
  23. Well, it does look snowy, but not very christmasy. Do you think you could just make the sky all black and add Santa's sleigh flying over the building? That would be great IMHO! I guess so.
  24. Are you sure? I think it looks great!
  25. Thanks. Should I make his beard white too? Btw, the thing I said about your avatar does not mean that you shouldn't christmasify it. Nice. But I have a question: What the heck is yours supposed to be anyway?
