That makes even more sense! Yes, I think that must be it. But how do we explain his skeleton minions fighting Star Justice in space? Perhaps, when Ogel used the time machine, some of his minions got accidentally sent into the future instead of the past? That's also an interesting theory! But I think I'll still go with Brickthing's theory.

Wow. Quite a project you got at hand there. I'd say, try to get an idea on how to construct it from the one TLC made. Look at the Toy Fair pics that show the Venator opened up and try to see how the skeleton of it is built. You don't need to include all the play features, just the general anatomy. Huh? A micro-scale model that is 2 feet long? That doesn't make any sense! Do you even know what micro scale means? If you don't, you shouldn't use such terms because otherwise you only confuse people even further.

Awesome idea for a project, and a nice storyline! Just like with many Lego themes these days, I could very well see a TV show being based off of this! Unfortunately, I don't have much time for MOCing at the moment, so I can't commit myself to filling one of the positions here, but if there are any sets left to be made once I have some time again, I'd love to attempt to make one of the sets! I would go for one of the larger ones. I can already imagine making a floating Sky Fortress with the Empress, some guards, and a little Rebel flyer to attack it for the $99,99 set! But I don't know if I will ever have the time to make one, or have the parts for it. Also, it will be hard to make a purist Empress since there are no female cyborg heads. And I don't have any of those Orient expedition flags either. Oh well. So, do I understand correctly that the Empress and her guards are the bad guys and the Rebels are the good guys? Kinda sounds like a steampunk version of Star Wars and/or Agents. PS: I think we share the same love for fiction and steampunk, Algernon.

Good eye! If this is really where the reference for that sticker comes from, it would strange, though, since the head seems to be red and it is on a LAAT/i, not an LAAT/c. Oh well. As long as we do get that sticker, I'm fine with it.

Wow! That sounds awesome! Now we know why this is the true season finale! It's great that they bring Aurra Sing into the show IMHO. The CW style suits her very well. She looks sexy! And do you know what this means? There is now a possibility of an Aurra Sing minifig! Btw, here is the wookieepedia page of Cad Bane which features a pic of him: Link

What are you talking about? Are you referring to the Bob-Marley Joker? I can't blame him. This Universe is so confusing! In a way, the heroes and villains are the exact opposite of their real Earth counter parts, but then again, they're kinda not. Hm, I see what you mean. Also, in this parallel Joker's case, he was dropped into the chemicals on purpose, not on accident. This way he had a much higher desire to get revenge, and he must have known that in order to be able to pay Owlman back, he had to stay sane. Aquaman again? He is so lame. Besides, what the heck is he gonna do in space? There is no water and no sea creatures for him to boss around. Oh well. It's still Batman In Space. That's always good, right? The week after, you say? That's good news! The first season of The Clone Wars ends soon too, but the second one wont start until fall! So, I was getting worried that this would be the case with BTBTB as well and that I wont have anything to watch for the next few months. But if you're right, I will at least have Batsy and his friends to keep me entertained.

I'd love to know that too! Reading a review about one of my favorite space themes left me craving for more! If there isn't such an index, someone should make one!

This looks very nice already! Very smooth and detailed. I don't see anything that's heavily wrong with it. However, I do have some suggestions. Considering that the purpose of this vehicle is it to transport cargo, the vehicle's design defeats its purpose as the cargo area is smaller than the cockpit. I would make it 2 studs wider so that it can hold twice the amount of crates. Also, the cockpit kinda looks like a big block. Adding some more details like an antenna on the roof or something might help. And for this purpose, I would reconsider adding some guns to it. Guns always make a vehicle more interesting, and after all, even a government vehicle needs protection at times, especially during war. Or maybe you could add some small engines to the sides (like on a speeder) or some small wings (like on the desert skiff)?

If this is supposed to be minifig-scale, I, too, think that it's out of scale. It almost looks like a UCS. At the very least, I would go for the Pit Droid scale for the RIC-920. Cause if you look at your reference pic, you can see that the droid's head is only slightly larger than Anakin's, just like the Pit Droids' heads are. Also, I would shorten the cables and lower the roof.

Dammit! I wanted to make one of those. Cause I am looking at BF for inspiration too! Oh well. Maybe I can still make a CW version of it. The MOC looks nice, but not much like your reference. It would look more like the one in the picture if the cockpits were closer to the front.

Yes, that's what I meant.

Hm... That's a tough one. I have an idea for the level with the cheese grates, but I'm not sure about the level with the cheese slopes. My idea is kinda hard to explain - maybe I'll post pics later - but basically it involves exchanging the three-brick high white slope pieces next to the cheese grates with a SNOT constructions and then connecting both cheese grates with a 1x2 plate each to those constructions. You will need a lot of yellow cheese slopes for this, though. If you mean this as a solution for the level with the orange cheese slopes, I agree.

Nice review! I loved this theme! The Robo Guardian is one of my fave sets of all time! It is just so cool! I have it along with the other two big sets of this theme, plus the Saucer Scout, I think. The Saucer Centurion is pretty cool as well, and the base, although not being super great, is very nice too. I think that splitting rock thing is a really neat idea! After seeing you point out the flaws in these sets, I guess it's not the best Space theme out there, but definitely one of the better ones! I think the Saucer Scout is supposed to work like this: The "tubular" pieces on the wings are jet engines that can provide propulsion through both both open ends. The ones on the side are for forward and backward propulsion. The ones at the front and back are for sideways movement and rotation. Make sense?

I think he means that he has seen a list of ideas for sets/themes for 2010, but that Avatar was not among them. This is sad to hear, but the release of the movie is still 16 months away, so I think there is still hope that they will pick up the license until then. And even if they don't, they still might pick it up afterwards when the movies end up being popular.

Well, of course TLC doesn't actually talk about death in their stories. Death is a very, very serious thing, and that's the last thing TLC would want to incorporate into their fun-oriented themes. However, they do imply it by including weapons etc. to make stories more exciting. TLC's stories are only guidelines to inspire the kids. The rest is left to the imagination of the player. If you want death, you can have it by pretending a minifig to get shot, burned, drowned, or cut. If you don't want it, you can pretend that they only get wounded. Isn't a roasted turkey a dead turkey? That's also true. Hey, that actually makes sense! In order to escape the Alpha team, he hopped into his evil time machine and traveled to the medieval times. There, he grew a beard, took on the new identity of a wizzard, and continued trying to take over the world with his evil skeleton minions (who now don't wear there "futuristic" cloths anymore to fit into the time)! And with his knowledge about electricity, he could make the knights believe that his staff shoots "magical" lightning! Hehe, fiction is fun.

Awesome! I really like that helicopter! How did you make those barrel gattling guns? But if this is supposed to be your entry for the Flickr contest, I don't think it qualifies. Aren't you supposed to build steampunk-ified versions of the Agents sets?

Hyena Droid Bomber Being Rammed By Technic Truck
Oky replied to CloneCommanderDelta7's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, but still... This thread is kind of a waste. If the comic would have featured better pics and would have been part of a full review, it would have been fine. But like this... -
Funny. I actually thought that the Joker was the worst part of that series. He seemed to be just a punk like any other, and his new style didn't appeal to me at all. I always refer to him as "the Bob-Marley Joker". Well, I still don't think that that voice fits The Joker, but it was OK for a parallel Joker, aka. Red Hood. I only said that it reminded me of BTAS. Of course it still wasn't anything like BTAS, but you have to admit that this scene (and this whole episode) got closer to the tone of BTAS than any other in this show, whether intended or not. Yeah, but his "real" world counterpart isn't really all that tough. It's mostly in his head. So, that means that this parallel Wildcat isn't very menacing in appearance and attitude, but is a tough foe nevertheless. But still... Imagine an attack from this "villain": "Oh no! Look out, there comes the evil oldtimer with his Hello Kitty costume!" Btw, if you take a look at the character list on the BTBTB wikipedia page, you'll see that his name is in fact "Pussycat". Yes, I quite liked that part too! I was almost expecting to hear one of Batsy's thought-monologues saying something like "Always wanted to punch him in the face!" I guess that Owlman and Blue Bowman are best buddies and no rivals at all, so that's why that punch gave Blue Bowman the hint that Batman wasn't the real Owlman. Agreed! It would have been nice, though, if they would have explained why exactly he didn't go insane. I mean, there is nothing that went differently in the parallel Joker's life than in that of the real one which would have caused him to regain sanity. Woah! I would have never guessed that! You really are a comic geek! Isn't that a little far fetched, though? I guess not, since it would make sense. If it's true, I agree that this is quite a clever joke!

Hyena Droid Bomber Being Rammed By Technic Truck
Oky replied to CloneCommanderDelta7's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A Technic set running into a SW set. Hm... Somehow I fail to see the point of this. Also, what are "intensions"? -
Awesome! Even though I'm not a big fan of stormies, these look great, and I would love to have one! Compliments to the makers of these! One question, though: Is the head a custom too, or is it an official one? If the latter is the case, where are they from?

Sweet! The Era of Contests has begun! Now I know what I'll do for Spring Break. I'll definitely enter for at least one of the categories. I have some nice, Battlefront-inspired ideas! Time to train my force-MOCing powers...

I just saw the first part of the season finale and... what can I say... It was great! Some very nice things going on in this episode. As I mentioned before, the parallel Earth versions of the characters of the show were cool, and the Bat 'n' Owl fight was awesome! However, the best part of the episode was the flashback-history of parallel Joker! That scene with him sitting in the shadows and laughing insanely was beautifully done and quite creepy, so it reminded me of good ol' BTAS. And I must agree with the reviewer of this episode on The World's Finest - It really did seem as if the whole season was building up to this, with all the characters of this season appearing in this episode and all. Was that a pink Wildcat I spotted in the flashback? Either that's a strange coloring error, or one of the least terrifying villains I've ever seen. Anyway, I totally can't wait for next week now! "Who is this guy?" *PUNCH!* "I'm BATMAN!" Love it!

I just watched Storm Over Ryloth too, and I quite liked it! I really like the new Separatist captain, Mar Tuuk! He is obviously the type of strategist who analyzes his enemy before facing him, which always makes for an interesting antagonist! Therefore, I am really glad that the makers of the show decided to keep him alive in the last minute. I'll be looking forward to seeing him in future episodes. As for the rest of the episode... Awesome space battle scenes! A visualization of a Marg Sabl, one of Admiral Thrawn's strategies! I am very happy to see that they are drawing inspiration from Timothy Zahn's magnificent books! A very deep and emotional story starring Ahsoka, which will hopefully positively affect the opinion of all Ahsoka-haters about her character. In addition to the Marg Sabl, there were also nice references to the Star Wars movies, like the round wall screen from Ep. 1, or the escape pod launch scene from Ep. 4, to name a few. Overall, a very nice episode that starts off the Ryloth trilogy quite well and makes you excited about next two episodes! The next one looks pretty good. I was hoping for a good Obi Wan episode, and this seems to be it! Too bad, though, it seems we still wont see much of Mace in that episode. I hope that that means that the last episode will be packed with Windu-ish awesomeness! Good question. They sure looked strange. Sort of like his bones were coming out from under his skin. And since he's an alien, that might even be the case... The correct term is emoticons, and no, there is no such thing as too many of them. In separate weeks of course.
