  1. 5969-5972 are now officially available on S@H: I wonder why they're holding off on the larger sets. In other news: Squidman has vandalized my sig! Darn space criminals!
  2. I really like the concept design of this vehicle. It reminds me of the HK-Aerials in Terminator. The actual realization of it seems a bit unfinished with the open sides of the cockpit etc. But I think I will still get it. Besides, I also find a liking in that four-armed Kermit minifig. Thanks for the review. PS: "Officer Faramir" - That's a good one! I didn't notice before that the officer's head is the same as that of your sigfig. I guess it was your destiny to review this set!
  3. I must agree with Jim. The color scheme reminds more of Harry Potter than Mars Mission. You will need to work on that. And of course, you'll also need to make sure to meet the 200-piece requirement. Other than that, it looks pretty good.
  4. It's from Judge Dredd. Fun movie.
  5. Yes, but it wasn't Star Wars Day. That one was on May 4th.
  6. Wow, that looks so much better than the Dracula hair! Thanks for sharing this! It's reason enough for me to buy River Heist!
  7. Yes, it's strange isn't it? Somehow it seems unlikely to me that they would release separate Castle and Space videogames at the same time as Lego Battles. And the fact that they are all supposed to be for the DS only makes the whole thing even more suspicious. Therefore, I too think that this is just a misleading ad campaign for Lego Battles, which is kind of a combination of Lego Space, Castle, and Pirates - The Videogames. Not cool, if you ask me.
  8. I got into army building just recently myself. Before, I didn't see the point in armies and didn't have the budget for building them, but now that has changed. I build my (Star Wars) armies because it's just cool to have and to display an impressively large amount of minifigs. I have about a hundred droids and twenty Clone Wars clones, all collected through buying sets. I'm still collecting clones, but I have stopped (purposely) collecting droids because I think 100 is an impressive enough number of minifigs to have. Anything above that starts becoming ridiculous IMO. I agree that sets are equally as important as minifigs and that some people obsess about minifigs too much.
  9. Hey guys! Two pictures of the movie have been released: Zuko Aang The actors look OK, but the whole atmosphere of those images kind of remind of the terrible DragonBall movie.
  10. I don't think that that would be so smart since that would create a paradox. The origin of time travel can't be caused by time travel itself, you know? What I mean is that it would still not explain how Skynet got the idea for time travel in the first place (before the loop began). Interesting idea though. And I too am looking forward to a sequel.
  11. Sorry, I did notice it, but I didn't bother to reply because the trailer doesn't show or reveal much that I hadn't seen or figured out before. Me neither!
  12. Pics added! The pics include a pic of the Mini Fortitude which I talked about making a couple of pages back. Please note how accurate I made it! Here is a comparison: As you can see, it's accurate right down to the red stripe behind the cockpit and the Rebel Alliance insignia on the wing! It can even dispatch the cockpit, just like JD's MOC can! You can see more pics in this Brickshelf folder (when public). Please let me know what you think. And yes, the time machine is mostly made up of Clone Walker pieces. As a bonus, here is an unused mini model from Season 1: Mack's Mini Freighter! More pics in this Brickshelf folder (when public). I wish I could show you a comparison pic with the real thing, but all of MacK's old SWCG pics have disappeared. Again, please let me know what you think! Thanks to all for playing, and special thanks to Jim for this fun game! PS: Bob, does your last post mean that you don't want to be included in JD's series?
  13. The finale is finished now. I hope you all like it. I will add a pic or two soon, and when I get some time again, I'll post a Season 2 recap. It's sad that the game has to end like this, but it was fun while it lasted, and fortunately, it will live on in JD's stop-motions.
  14. "Ah, there you are, Adam!" said Jim. "I was wondering where you've been." "Long story" said Adam. They entered the downed Rodian Cruiser. There were a bunch of Rodians inside, and the place was filled with technical equipment. It turned out that the Rodians had turned this cruiser into a laboratory/workshop. Some of the Rodians raised their blasters towards the group, but as soon as they saw that Drag'Dul was with them, they lowered them again. "Care to explain what we are doing here now, JD?" Jim asked impatiently. "OK, well, I've been thinking," JD started to explain, "and I figured it would be much too risky to try to transport the relic to Coruscant, and even if we can pull it off, Dooku could still find a way to steal it again. So, I thought we should use this instead." He pointed at a mysterious large machine at the end of the room. As the others took a closer look at it, they recognized it as a time machine, similar to the one General Grievous had used during their last mission. "Another time machine?? But... how is this possible?" asked Oky. Drag'Dul stepped forward and said: "Me and my friends here built a new one using the blueprints that I stole from General Grievous shortly before I was thrown into the time portal and got sent to the past. I was planning on using it to return to my own time." "We all come from the same time" said JD, pointing at DD and Jaina at his sides. "And we all want to return home. So, I thought I could just take the relic with me and hide it somewhere in the future. Dooku isn't alive anymore in my time, so this will mean that he will never get it. What do you say?" Everyone looked at him with an astounded face. Then, Oky said: "That's a brilliant idea! It's perfect!" "Then let's get this machine powered up, boys!" said DD to the Rodian mechanics. They pressed a few buttons and pulled some levers, and soon enough, the machine started to project a time portal. Jim handed JD the Xonohr relic, and so JD, DD, and Jaina stepped toward the portal, getting ready to jump in. However, JD turned around one more time and said: "But before I go, I need to tell you something..." He told them about Order 66 and the rise of the empire. He told them about how all Jedi and anyone defending democracy was eliminated. But he also told them about the Rebel Alliance which he was part of. After JD's speech was over, Oky felt terrible. Whenever JD said that Skywalker was going to turn to the darkside, he thought he was just teasing him. But apparently he had been serious all along, and Oky felt like an idiot for assaulting JD for it. He also felt very foolish about the fact that he had idolized the wrong person all this time. And knowing that his cousin Obi Wan was going to be one of the last remaining Jedi who will fight for peace made him feel much differently about his cousin as well. Trying to apologize, he said: "JD... I... I had no idea..." "It's OK, Oky, I understand" said JD forgivingly. Oky smiled at him in gratitude. Then, JD concluded his speech:"Anyway, as soon as I leave, you must all go into hiding until the Great Jedi Purge is over! We can then meet back together in the future." "But can't we just try to prevent all that from happening now that we know about it?" asked Wouwie. "No. That could cause a universe-destroying paradox. Besides, there are some things that can't be changed." "Well, alright. But can't we at least come with you then? To the future?" "Sorry," said DD, "but the machine doesn't have enough juice for all of you." "That's OK" said Jim "We'll just keep our heads down until the Rebel Alliance is founded. Then we can -" But in that moment, Ki Adi Mundi came crashing through the wall and landed next to Jim's feet. He was unconscious. Through the newly created hole in the wall, Count Dooku came marching in with a superior look in his face. Oky leaned over to JD and said quietly: "I think it's time for you to get outta here!" "Gotcha!" JD whispered back. He turned toward Dooku, held the relic up, and said: "See ya, Dooky!" And with that, he, Drag'Dul and Jaina jumped into the portal. When Count Dooku realized what just happened, he yelled "NO!" and reached out his hand in the attempt to force-grab the relic. But it was too late, so he charged towards the portal instead in order to follow JD. However, Jim saw what the count was up to, so he quickly ignited his lightsaber and cut up the time machine into many useless pieces before Dooku got there. Dooku was enraged and attacked Jim with his lightsaber. The two engaged in fierce a duel. Wouwie used this moment to call Pr0 who was waiting for them in the Fortitude and tell him to pick them up. As Jim and Dooku kept fighting on, Jim said: "Give it up, Dooku! You have already lost. And I know your future: You will be killed by your master's new apprentice!" "Lies!" said Dooku "No puny Republic commander has the power to see the future!" "I'm telling you, count, give up this foolishness and save yourself!" "Never!" said Dooku, and so they just kept fighting until suddenly, the Fortitude landed outside. Oky said: "Everybody, let's go!" The others obeyed and ran to the Fortitude and entered. Oky and Garviel picked up Master Mundi's body and carried it with them. Jim kept Dooku occupied until everybody was inside the ship and then broke up his fight with Dooku in order to get to the ship himself. The Fortitude took off as soon as Jim was on board, so Dooku couldn't do anything but to watch them fly away. Flashback to the present, on board the Fortitude: "Ah," said Garviel. "Now I remember. But when did I get knocked out?" "As we were trying to escape from Raxus Prime" said Oky. "The fire from the orbiting Separatist ships shook up the Fortitude quite good, and that's when you hit your head." "Oh" said Garviel. After a pause, he asked: "So, is that what we are going to do now? Split up and go into hiding?" "Exactly" replied Jim. "Everybody, pack your things and meet me in the hangar in thirty minutes." They all went into their quarters and got ready. Half an hour later, they all met back in the hangar of the Fortitude. "Well, I guess this is it" said Jim with a sigh. "It was a pleasure and honor working with you, gentemen. I hope you will all survive the horrible events to come so that we can meet again in better times. May the force be with us all." Everyone nodded in agreement and gratitude and climbed into their own personal starfighters, except for Master Mundi who would take the Fortitude back to Coruscant. Shortly thereafter, ten starfighters left the Fortitude's hangar door and positioned themselves all around the ship, looking into different directions. Then, all of them blasted off into hyperspace, including the Fortitude, and disappeared in the vast emptiness of space...
  15. Thanks for this in-depth review. You did a good job on it, even though I'm still not quite sold on this set yet. The two new minifigs are nice, but I'm hoping that they will come in a magnet set or something at some point. The rest of the set seems somewhat useless to me. The ship isn't exactly the most well designed ship in Star Wars, and it's not the most relevant either, so I could pass on it easily. However, those sliding doors are quite neat, and if I'm going to get Gunray at some point, I will need a ship for him to travel in. I'll have to think about it. Sure, it's a nice detail, but what's the point of it? I mean, why didn't yhey just use another one of those slope pieces? Jar Jar?? What about Padme! It's incredible that we haven't had a Padme fig since Episode I, and this was the one set where she could have been in! But yeah, I guess one main bad guy and one main good guy are enough.
  16. I'm so sorry, guys! I was busy with the reviews last weekend, and right now I'm totally busy with school. But I promise I'll have it up by this weekend.
  17. I just saw it, and it was really good! Great action, good story, not too much sappy philosophy at all, and even ! The whole atmosphere of the movie was great! It really felt like a post-apoc/sci-fi war movie. In that sense, it also felt more "reallistic" than T3. But most importantly, it felt like a Terminator movie, a feeling that The Sarah Connor Chronicles failed to deliver. Overal, I'm very pleased and am looking forward to the next installation. Funny thing about that: In T4, you get to see Skynet's HQ, and it has a striking resemblance to Mordor in LotR!
  18. Here comes Majek with his castlized SW MOCs again! Good job. But I think it might need some work. At the moment, I can't quite tell which version of the TIE fighter it's supposed to be. You call it a TIE Fighter, but the wings look nothing like those of a TIE fighter. You also say that it is supposed to be Darth Vader Father's TIE, but Vader's TIE is a TIE Advanced which has that flat round platform in the back. Looking at your model, it reminds me more of a TIE Interceptor rather than an "Advanced" or standard "Fighter". So, I would work on the wings a little. Also, it would be great if you could make the cockpit look more round. Good luck!
  19. Man, all those cutscene screenshots look so great! Why, oh why do the gameplay screenshots have to look so bad! I really hope there will be a PC version with good graphics. That pic of Kranxx hijacking the Mars Mining Mech is awesome!
  20. Thanks for the kind words, guys! I really like it myself. I sort of planned it in my head while sitting through a boring lecture. Yes. But don't tell the clones! I hope that's a compliment. Sure! I'll take that challenge! I already have some good ideas. I also have a nice idea for creating a crabdroid-like MOC out of two assassin droid BPs, but at the moment I only have one. Huh? How does it remind you of a fly?? Sorry, but I just don't see the resemblance. And did you have to quote the whole post? Anyway, I too like it better than the walker.
  21. Yeah, I had the same issue with my instructions. I believe the way it is in the following pic is the right way: However, don't let me tell you how to build your set. You should build it however you like it best.
  22. Yeah, I went to my local TRU and everything was 10% off instead of 25! They still seem to be 25% off online, but if you consider shipping, there's not much of a difference, especially on the smaller sets.
  23. I agree. In fact, I welcome any new piece with a stick on it that can be hold by minifigs. Those are always useful in MOCs, especially brick-built weapons & tools. That's true, I guess. But I would still have preferred it if it was a regular motorcycle and would have some more bricks instead of Technic pieces in the set. Btw, why hasn't this been frontpaged yet? Is the set so bad that it doesn't deserve to be frontpage news? Just curious.
  24. As we already discussed on the last page, the freeze rays are supposed to be the flick-fire missiles on the cops bike. Perhaps I should add that bit of info to the first post. From SP3? No, not anytime soon. I'm not even sure if I will get any other SP3 sets, although Gold Heist and Hyperspeed Pursuit look rather tempting.
  25. I'd say it's about the same height and width of a SW BP, but it's a bit longer, about 1.5 times as long as the BPs. I can give you exact measurements when I get home if you want. Btw, I too like the street signs. They add a little bit something extra to the set - something Gold Tooth's Getaway might have benefited of.
