No, I think he means more like Rancors and dewbacks. Those were allowed on the last contest, but I doubt they are in this one. I mean, how do you make, say, a Pirates themed Rancor?

The Pirates and the NXTfied Theater (by NeXTSTORM)
Oky replied to Capt. Kirk's topic in LEGO Pirates
SHIVER ME TIMBERS! That is incredible! Very, very nicely done! And that's Mostly made with only one NXT set and some PF?? Wow! I am speechless! "plus some more Lego bricks and pieces"? More like A LOT more! I wish he would show us the entire movie again, but from the back! Man, this makes me want to get out my own NXT set and make something similar! -
TRU has up to 25% off select LEGO Indiana Jones, Power Miners & Bionicle sets. There are some pretty good deals among these, so hurry and get them, because the sale expires 05/23/09! LINK Also, they have free shipping on the UCS Millenium Falcon.

Hello there. I am considering buying 8707 Boulder Blaster, but before I decide, I'd like to know something: What is the color of the crystals that come with this set? Most pics of the set show red ones, but I have seen several reviews of it with blue ones. So if you have it (or know somebody who does) please tell me what color your crystals were. And if you got red ones, did you try to get blue replacements from TLC? How did that work out? Thanks for your help.

Very nice, although a bit messy looking. If TLG were ever to release one, I'm sure it would look something like this.
-
I was wondering that too. "Lego Space" might have been a prelim title for "Lego Battles". But then again, why would they put a prelim ad on a final box art? Yeah, but summer is around the corner, and yet we haven't heard anything about this game. Good point. Kinda makes you wonder if all the rumors are true. We never did hear of that Racers game before, and even though it's been a while since we saw ads on the boxes, we still haven't heard anything specific about it. Why do you tease us so, TLC? Then again, what do I care? I don't even have a DS! Yeah, you're right, it's probably just a big tub of goo.

Back on topic - Here is my Clone BP alternative: The Republic Ultra-lite Attack Flyer! It is armed with three missiles and holds two clones. It consists of almost all the parts of a single BP. Here it is from the back where you can see the engines: And here it is without the figs: Hope you like it.

Name: Gold Tooth's Getaway Set: 8967 Theme: Agents 2.0 Year: 2009 Pieces: 68 Minifigs: 2 Price: USD 9.99 (10.99 @ TRU) Hello there! Just like I reviewed the smallest of the Agents 1.0 sets last year, I shall review the smallest of the Agents 2.0 sets this year. As you might know by now, most of the summer 2009 sets are already available at TRU. I didn't want to spend too much money, so I went for the smallest sets. This is one of them. Was it worth the buy? Let's find out! The Box The box is the same size as that of 5970 Freeze Ray Frenzy. This set, like the others, features a comic strip in the upper right corner. And as you can see, the missions in Agents 2.0 are no longer numbered. They only have the target object to identify them. The back of the box shows thumbnails of the other Agents 2.0 sets, the flick-fire feature, the names of the figs, and a somewhat puzzling scene: After not having used any of his missiles during their entire vehicle chase, Agent Swipe fires a missile at an unarmed Gold Tooth. A strange thing to do for a "good guy", isn't it? Content Inside the box, there are two bags, the instructions, and a sticker sheet. Notable pieces include the metallic-golden T-Rex idol, the orange spyglass piece, the new flick-fire missile holder piece, and the black motorcycle hull (which appears in black for only the second time). Minifigs The two minifigs in this set are Gold Tooth (Duh!) and the new and exclusive Agent Swipe. (Does anyone get why he is called "Swipe"? Because I don't. Does it have something to do with the fact that he is after Gold Tooth who "swiped" the Dino idol? idk.) Gold Tooth is the same as the one in the Mission 3: Gold Hunt set, right down to his golden hose. Agent Swipe is your average double-chinned City/Castle guy, but with a raised eye brow and an added headset, plus exclusive tan flat-top hair. Unfortunately, he does not have a double-sided face. Here they are showing off their gear. The stuff on the bullet-proof vest is printed. And here they are from the back. I took this shot with Swipe wearing his vest because, like all Agents, he does not have any back printing. The Set First up, you build the Agents trike thingy. You start out with building the chassis from right to left and then add the drivers seat and hood on top of it. With the minifig on it: The new FFM (flick-fire missile) holder pieces hold the FFM launchers pretty good (meaning they don't fall out easily), but they swivel around quite easily, which is rather annoying. Next, you build Gold Tooth's getaway motorcycle. If you thought the Agents trike was an easy build, you're in for a surprise: When you follow the instructions correctly, you can finish this vehicle within a minute (excluding sticker appliance time)! Here it is before adding the one-piece top: ... and here it is after: The front and back: With minifig and cargo: Below you can see that there are no actual handle bars for Gold Tooth to grab. Unless this is supposed to be some kind of high-tech motorcycle that drives itself, this is a major design flaw in my book. Left-Over Parts Two words: Not many. Conclusion: I am disappointed. This set seemed somewhat cool looking at the box art, but now that I actually have it, I kinda wish I wouldn't have bought it. This is definitely the worst of the Agents sets, and I don't feel like I got enough for my money. The design is mediocre at best, and the parts are nearly useless if you aren't into Technic. If you don't have Gold Tooth yet and are interested in one or two of the exclusive parts in this set, go for it, but otherwise I advise you to stay away from this set. Rather spend your money on a good set of the same size, like Freeze Ray Frenzy.

And Bingo was his name-o. Now let's get back on topic please.

Name: Freeze Ray Frenzy Set: 5970 Theme: Space Police (III) Year: 2009 Pieces: 80 Minifigs: 2 Price: USD 9.99 (10.99 @ TRU) Hello there! Welcome to one of the first SP3 reviews! Since member Mania3 has found many of the 2009 summer sets in Legoland California, I figured they would pop up in TRU soon as well, so I went there every day ever since. And last Friday, they finally had them. Besides this set, they also had 5971 and 5972, along with all the new City, Agents, Power Miners, and Racers sets. Because I didn't want to spend too much money, I only got this set and a small Agents 2.0 set. Anyhoo, let's get started, shall we? The Box The box is the same size as that of 8967 Gold Tooth's Getaway. On the side of the box, you can find an ad for a Lego Space videogame. You can discuss the ad here. Content Inside the box, there are two bags, a loose engine piece, the instructions, and a sticker sheet. Note that my engine piece came with hardened glue drops on it which I had to peal off. Notable pieces include the new fire piece and the new flick-fire missile holder piece. Minifigs The two minifigs included in this set are Kranxx and a Space Police officer with sunglasses, and they are the only printed pieces in the set. Both have very detailed leg printing. Kranxx' mouth is a hole that goes right into the stud hole of his head. This allows you to see the white stripe on his neck through his mouth. The head itself seems to be made out of the same plastic as normal minifig heads. From the side (with the officer's visor down): The backs have printing as well. Note that I removed the air tanks of the officer for this pic. The Set First, you build the stop sign and traffic light. Not much to show here. The traffic light has studs all around it so that you can add more "lights" to it if you want. Next, you build the cop's hoverbike. With the minifig on it: The engine on the back of the bike can turn 360 degrees and the missile launchers can be pulled out and used as a hand held weapon for the space cop. Those missiles are supposed to be the freeze rays mentioned in the title of the set. Don't ask me why they are called rays when they are actually missiles. It makes about as much sense as the side turrets of the Clone Wars AAT being FFMs. The last thing you build is Kranxx' pimped-out Hot Rod Hoverbike. It is made up of two parts. Here are some pics of the top and bottom. Note that I turned the fire piece 90 degrees to make it look better. If you don't change it, the fire piece just looks like an orange line, like in the Back pic above. With the minifig: Left-Over Pieces Bonus First, here is a little movie reference: And secondly, here is a little head-swapping: Kranxx after a sex change, and bad-boy Ahsoka. More pics in the Brickshelf folder. Stay tuned for my ratings!

Yup. Life is definitely not fair. Well, if you search Eurobricks, you might find out which one. Or you can just wait for the review.
-
Everybody now: "Who let the pigs out! Who! Who! Who! Who!" Btw, I have a SP3 set too. I'll review it right away.
-
Hello there. I just got myself a SP3 set, and on the side of the box, I found an ad for a Lego Space videogame for the Nintendo DS! Such ads can be found on all the SP3 boxes. The strange thing about it, though, is that it says that it's already out. Click here for a hi-res close-up. Thoughts? Comments?
-
Hm... That does suck. For you, that is. The US release date is still May 21. Doesn't anyone have comments on this except for the film's release date and its "explodiness"?
-
Hehe. That's actually pretty fun. For an online game that is. I really hope they release a real Lego Clone Wars game at some point.
-
Great! So, you are with us now, right? In the moment where we enter the Rodian cruiser? Just checking. Tonight I'll be busy doing reviews, but I'll try to post the finale this weekend.
-
From TRU. They have all the new Agents, Castle, PM, and the four smallest SP3 sets (excluding impulses).
-
5970 Freeze Ray Frenzy and 8967 Gold Tooth's Getaway! Reviews will be up shortly.
-
You call that a flamethrower? This is a flamethrower! Hehe. Seriously, though, even though your 'thrower looks pretty cool, I doubt that a single clone would be able to lift it. The Sniper rifle is not bad, but I think it would look better with a black tip. I'm not such a big fan of your "machine guns" though. They don't look so good with all those rings on them IMHO. But overall, I'd say . PS: Why did you exchange the cheese slopes on the tank with green ones?
-
Yes, I want it, even though I'm still not sure if it will do me any good (as I am still very busy), but it will definitely make me feel better to have five more days than originally to get an entry in.
-
Wow. That must be TLG's worst idea yet. I mean, come on! Who except a really young child would want to run around with sunglasses that have bricks attached to them? I doubt that any parent would want to buy their kid one of these because they will eventually fall apart and just end up upsetting the kid. Haha! Great idea! This way you could fire at anyone you look at!
-
That's OK. But next time when you do have significant news, don't post here just to tease us. Either tell us what it is, or don't post at all. Thanks. May we know where you heard about the BM set, though?
-
Good for you. Let me guess - it's this one right? Yeah, that's old news. Try to keep up, and stay on target. Btw, why aren't these Brickmaster pics in the first post?
-
Sorry for double posting, but I thought you might be interested in this. There are some clips from the movie available on Yahoo: Clips There is also some exclusive footage on the Pizza Hut website: Exclusive Footage So far, I like what I'm seeing. I like the fact that I'm a little disappointed with the scene with that giant prisoner collector terminator, though. First of all, it could have been longer, and secondly, it doesn't make much sense that they can when a standard-sized T-800 can't even be harmed this way (as seen in The Terminator). Oh well, I'm still looking forward to this movie.

No. Mundi doesn't have the relic anymore (I thought I made that clear). He is busy holding off Dooku while we have to find a place to hide the relic. If we bring it to Coruscant (or any other world for that matter) we will bring war to that planet, so we have to find a way to hide it from Dooku for good. And JD already has a plan.
